So from where should I begin? :)

Level 11 team, invested almost every season from 5-20 Euros into buying tokens ( not gonna happen anymore Nordeus ).
First 5 seasons...flawless. 5 league wins, 1 Cup and 2 CL's. Pretty good right? Considering since the first season I had very difficult leagues with at least 2-3 5-6 stars teams and very competitive.

From season 6? Let's see
nothing, nothing, nothing, 1CL league :cool:, nothing, nothing, nothing !
This season after I invested again 20 E at the beggining of it, bough 3-4 good scout players just to keep my almost 6 stars in shape.
Results:
Champions league: 2 points in 6 matches - the weakiest team in 32 teams.
Cup: Knocked out from a barely 5 start team and no special abilities to any of it's players!
League: Well it's still under way, 3'rd place, Lost all matches of the season against all teams with 5 stars!

You can easily allign a team with 6 starts and most of players having a SA!

Tried all posible formations that I know they might work after maybe a thousands games played!
Moral maximum, Bonus for victory, bench players with bad form, play friendlyes...been there , did all!

Bottom line: Since couple of seasons ( and it's becoming more obvious day by day ) every 5 star team kicks my ass no matter of what !
First guy in my league has same team value and he is winning every single league by FAR ! And he plays 4-4-2 since I know him.

Please advice me what to do now! This is already what I'm planning to do starting from next season:
-Never invest a penny anymore
-Change most of my team and keep only the players that really played good no matter of what ( got 3-4 in my team )

Anything else is above me. I feel like a plant. This game is playing me, not viceversa and it's far away from reality.

These words are in what you are wrong. I too had a "era" as a token buyer, and the players are not simply a collection of stars, there's more than that.
This game is not; if I have +0,1 general Q. than the other team I win. Every player have a form to play and perfectly a 4* can contribute and affect the result of a match more than a 7* or 8* player. Remembert that thats a game and all are internal proggramming and % of effectiveness and so.
I've seen after 26 seasons teams like your and I'm not surprised.
As a manager I will suggest you to start doing a little change of mentality and see the the truth of your players, take a look at how they contribute in the matches, and no the stars.
Too I know I say this words usually, but I will say again. 1 player, can give you the 2/3 of a league title. So maybe you need this leader in the MCs or ST's line.

I will add that 1 star are only 5Q. of differance and that will never be enough or a guarantee of your victory...

If you want you can post a pic of how goals, assistances have, matches played and ratings have your team. That will help other managers to suggest you better than looking a collection of stars (almost me) :)

I've got this scout J Cuartas wich is on the bench...unbelieveble player. Hit's 5's after most of his matches. Incredibly usless player. Anytime I insert him in my squad he fouls. Player bought with 50 tokens last season...A total waste of money. 3 goals and 3 assists in 27 matches. Well done lad !

The problem with my team, first of all is that is not performing well during matches. I can't take advantage of the counters, I counciede lots of goals on counters and especially from corners.
1/2 corners i get a goal
1/4 1/5 corners I manage to score

Today's match for example:
I lost my 2'nd place by loosing 3-2 away against a slightly weaker team.
Got 3-4 counters during the match and didn't manage to score.
My opponnent somehow managed to get 10 corners in a match so he killed me, that being a super weak spot of mine.

I normally play high pitch with hard tackling so I can't understand why I give away so many corners. Rarelly I manage to get more then my opponents.
My FK specialist lost his skill. Aparrently he needs LOTS of FK's in order to scorre a goal. I got Defenders with skills and they don't help me out on corners. Neither on attack neither on defence.

It's porbably like you said @Khriss, my team misses those players that may win a match by themselves.
It's ugly...Every easy match I win by Far...Every difficult match I LOSE it. Point. Story of the season.

My best scorrer is my ML FK specialist, that's because he manage to scorre alot against very weak teams.
My best player in term of assists is one of my strikers with Corners SA.
My best Defender is the less skilled of them all. Got 5 defenders that I use frequently usually in 3 DC's formation and my 5 star Defensive Wall Defender remarks himself match after match. ( Ipek - ratings are ridiculously low )
My both GK-s although 6 Star can't pull together 2 consecutive good matches.

Anything else I might share?

I forgot to mention. I never have the pacience with going just with 1 formation. Tried many times to stick with one formation but I normally loose after 2-3 matches so I get angry and I change it.

My favourite style play is:
Offensive, mixt, all field, heavy, mixed, zonal

In addition to that if result is not going well I simply go Force counters and Offside trap and of course adding some arrows.

I remember in the early days I didn't use so much pressing on all the field and the teams I had were running pretty well, but now If I don't go high up especially in heavy matches I get dominated very badly.

I can't seem to recall having faced 2 teams stronger then me all season long. But still 10 defeats and 4 draws.

I can see why you're being countered. I'm not a fan of 3w defence. Take off red arrow on DMC, drop Jalisovec or put a blue arrow on him to see if that helps him. Swap out Kulic for Negraru.

@El Pistolero I'm not also a fan of 3W Defense. I usually play 3D or 4 players defence.
Negraru is a good player but I decided to swap him for a SA player thinking that might help. Will swap him back into the team anyways. Thanks...
As for Jalsovek he is indeed better on defense as I watch most of my matches and he is better in blocking shots then delivering them. I will make him blue. :)

I played 3n-2w-2-1-2 and won 5/5 but my MC's haven't received a rating above 6 so I've changed formation to see if anything changes and put a blue arrow on 1 MC.

Countering means a little bit less possession in order to force them to play in your half so you can catch them out and create more one on ones. It doesn't really work while attacking. If your defence is better than the attack I would suggest play offside with 3 DC's. Press whole pitch. Mixed passing.

Or normal mentality, no offside, no counter.

Playing offside while countering contradict each other, imo. It's basically sitting deep but keeping a straight line outside your box.

I never play offside when opponent has better strikers than my defenders. I use it when I am 1. Attacking/press whole pitch and 2. The better side.

I counter when my formation is defensive, my opponent is better and when i need to open up a stubborn defence.

Ok, I will say what would I do in your case and in your situation. Despite I did not use your team and don't know exactly in 1st person how your plyer works.
As the mate say, I too I'm not fan of defenses of 3. In this forum one can see lots of comments by my side in defeats of teams that play with 3 defenses and me saying-u see? 3 defenses lol

Your work now is, as you said that the game have lots of corners and fouls and so, start playing friendlies and see the better man, 1 for corners and 1 for fouls. Have the correct man in these 2 places helps in more % and can have more influence in the result than try to change formation.
You have a very good ML and well, I always used same formations, 4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2. You can prove using the ML as MC in left side, and play with 3 ST's or budvesel as AMC. Or 3 ST's and if the match don't goes like you want, change a ST for this AMC.
2 blues to the DC's and .
Every match is different, so a MC that helps in defense never will do the same match per match for example, and a ST usually never will score/perform in the same level, only if he is this type of special players that have 9-9-9-8-9 as ratings and have as promide 1 goal or more per match. So, play with the substitutions too, and if you don't see the name of an ST or MC during 50' minutes, change these.
Too is posible that in some matches you see a player more aggressive than usually, then too change this.

You can prove a 4-3-3, 4-3-1-2 as I suggest and probably, the orange triange will have less influence than the benefit you will obtain (probably, and usually).
If you wont change the ML of position you can prove a 4-4-2... or why not now I see how good is your DMC so a diamond can be perfectly an option... maybe this is the best option lol
Put Thys as Captain and buy a new ST. Presure in whole pitch and offside and counters on.

That is what will I do if I manage your team.

Then I bought Struthers, that have 8-7-7 as ratings but, in 3 matches scored 1 and assisted 1, and now with this player kontol scored 3 of the 4 goals in 3 days...

Think in that too, 1 player can play better or worst with another nearly.
Don't look at the stars, prove, prove, prove.

I see you use alot of arrows and your player ratings seem really good. I tend to spare my arrows as i don't want to upset the balance of the formation.

I agree with El Pistolero advices. I 'm not so experienced but I 've read a lot of threads for players from lvs 9-12 that saying about the same thing.
I think one reason is that many of them used to play offensive mentality, are facing more experienced players and have difficult time.
Some things I 've noticed so far, that might can help you :
Defensive mentality it's not like real football. I had many domination games with 4-5-1 V, defense/counter.
This system is very effective but you lack of AMR-AML.
Rates have different meaning for the players positions.
7 it's good for GK, DMC, MC but not good enough for D, AM, ST.
so Ipek it's out of form now.
If playing with 3DC you're vulnerable against teams that playing with flanks, and 3 D wide against a team with 2 ST.
Try in some games, to start with def.mentality, wait for 30' min to see how the number of the shots it's going. If you have more and your STs are in form, the goal will come. If not, then change mentality to normal or attack.
Watch the comments about your GK. If saying words like steady, confidence ... it's good even if he doesn't get an 8 after the game.

In my opinion, for short term success, players in good form is not important than players with high quality. You may try to sit out players who perform poorly for a few games. If my team perform poorly, I usually change the tactic to be more defensive.

This is all simpler than you think. You invested money, you were marked as "spender" and you were put in increasingly tougher leagues.

Now you'd have to maintain the level of investment in order to keep winning. Otherwise you'll have to wait for your team to become weaker so that you can play as a free player again.

every team may goes through a transition period without winning anything every season... be patience just switch a bit formation, fine tune on tactics work well with the team

Ok I'll test for today's match ( and then some friendly matches ) 4-3-1-2. I put ML As MC and red arrow on him, same as my good MC, and Jalsovec is assigned to help the defence as my next opponent plays with 2 ST and I've got only 2 DC's and not DMC tu support.
Will play against a 3-2W-3-2 which prooves to be a pain in the ass sometimes.
I will start the match in Defensive with counters on untill half time.

GK Fernandez my opinion man of the match. He saved 4-5 goals!!!
DL and DR Ipen and Negraru UNEXISTABLE ON THE FIELD. haven't heard of them even 1 time but they do get both a 7 rating :cool:
DC and DC Thomas Kulic I think if they were playing by themselves on the field the result would have been the same. Countless stops made by both of them, especially blocking the corner kicks.
ML and MC Thys ( my guy ) and Jalsovec who'm a gave him a responsability of going down and helping the defence...CATASTROFAL. All he did is to foul 2 times and eat seeds during the match. Thys??? 3 FK's in a DANGEROUS position-3 aviatic shots. Go hit the plaine!
MC Dam good-he tryed at least 4-5 shots and enetered in many combinations-unsuccessful though...
AMC BUdvesel-1 shot in the hole match that was blocked, kicked him out for a ST in the second half. What kinf of player he is if he is pefrforming only against 3 star teams????? Bastard!
ST Abdulahi and Staermose - like every match, 75% of the ocassions are made by them 2, shame they don't get any quality suport! Of course they also made the goal!

you saw much better statistics by the end of the match but mostly they came from long range shots without any target :)

Bottom line I have 5 good players in my team that are performing match in and match out despite the opponent. GK-DC-DC-ST-ST
Rest of them a bunch of Top eleven sell outs that act like freaking bots send by nordeus to **** me everytime i get to face a decent team.

Plenty of heavy matches left to play. 5 points away of getting kicked out of the first 4 and it seems like it's going to happen.

The SA mean nothing, prove another in fouls, a defense, Thomas for example (do some friendleis if you can^^using subs to dont waste condition of usual team) , in both positions. That's very important, if you have only 1 foul in the match and u score.
looking at this I think you will go better with a formation like this last, with more people in attack, and some new player.
Add all the cones in the phisical skills to increase speed all you can.

And if you can continue posting here to see what happen with what you prove, can be ineresting for players in same situation that sometimes come here explaining the same. I think that we, all the old manages, had some season like this mate.

Salut! :D Ai vreo 2 probleme de rezolvat in echipa din cate vad. Sa speram ca te ajuta ce iti zic eu:
1)Cauta pe piata de transferuri 2 MC buni si inlocuieste-i pe aia care iau note slabe.
2)Vad ca nu ai nici un jucator pentru atac pe flancuri,fara AML/ML si AMR/MR nu o sa faci nimic,iti garantez.
Si pune atacantul cu specialitate de cornere sa iti bate cornerele si pe celalalt atacant la lovituri libere. Degeaba are MC-ul specialitate de lovituri libere,ca daca nu e in forma iti da toate mingiile in tribuna Bafta! ;)

1. Prefer sa astept pana la inceputul sezonului urmator sa fac transferuri sa nu pierd o stea degeaba.
2. Nu imi plac formatiile cu AMR AML.
Cat despre atacanti asta am incercat acum in cele 3 amicaluri jucate. Cel ce bate cornere o face foarte bine dar celalalt nu prea da randamente la lovituri libere.

La lovituri libere incearca-i pe toti. Cateodata cei mai buni executanti sunt fundasii,acum cateva sezoane portarul mi-a dat vreo 15 goluri din lovituri libere tot sezonul :) :)
Mijlocasii centrali sunt o problema,daca nu sunt in forma s-ar putea sa ai probleme ca esti prins pe contra atac cand gresesc pase la mijlocul terenului sau faulteaza mult,de aia trebuie sa cumperi cat de multi pe sezon pana in gasesti pe aia buni. Si foarte important nu mai cumpara vreodata de la impresar. 90% sunt praf acolo.
Si de ce iti zic sa folosesti AML/AMR? Pentru ca AMC-ul e foarte usor de blocat,de aia cei mai multi dintre ei sunt invizibili pe teren,iar unele formatii gen 4-3-3 sau 4-1-2-1-2 nu pot fi contrate decat cu atac pe flancuri.De aia nu iti creezi sanse de gol prea multe,pentru ca AMC-ul si mij centrali nu ajuta deloc atacul si cum ai zis mai devreme,numai cei doi atacanti creeaza sanse. Intleg ca nu iti plac formatiile cu AML/AMR,dar o sa iti fie mai usor cu ele.
Si inca cateva detalii daca te intereseaza,despre punctele de abilitate: La ST,MC,AMC pune-le pe toate pe ofensiv si pe fizic si mental,iar la DMC,fundasi si portar pe defensiv si fizic si mental,o sa te ajute mult asta.:D

just played 3 friendly matches and discover couple of interesting things.
Have a look first of the line-up.

Hrinca the striker I don't use too often due to lack of performances seems to play very well as an AMC. Great atribution in delivering good passes and he is scorring as well.

Both Schmeig and Radomlek got a constant 7-8 playing as DML and DMR. ( first time I play this formation )

Ipek the one that plays not in a constant way as DL seems in a 3D formation he is playing in a higher quality-scorred also 1 goal.

And Cuartas my black sheep seems to play surprisingly well as MC with blue arrow being very present in all 90 minutes of the match. Scorred also 2 goals in 3 friendly matches and made also 1 assist. Great help for defense as well by blocking many shots. Can't believe it!

As for goals concieded guess what? Every match I got goals from corners. What a surprise.
In all 3 matches I recieved beetween 1 and 2 goals. First match ended 4-2, second one 2-2 and won at penalties, last one 5-1.

I started all matches with normal tactics, no offside no counters. Against some teams goes well against other not so much. In every 2'nd half I swicthed on attacking mentality with all field and Offside traps ( added arrows on both DML'R). Dominated each time and managed to scorre plenty of goals when playing like this.


The teams I play against were higher level and 4-5 Star teams with couple of SA players in their squad.

Just had a RIDICULOUS match, being almost dominated by a 2-3 star team that's sitting of the bottom of the table.
Don't get misleaded by the stats, they are a total lie. Truth is my "super-team" didn't manage to create any clear goal chances, no counters, almost no corners..
Got 15-20 minutes in the second half being absolutelly kept in my own box by a ridiculous team...And tomorow is coming the match against the 1'st place who is killing everything in his way.;)

None of what you see above is real, everyone played like a pile of trash that they are. So I'm wondering how is posible to play that bad against a team that has 20% of your potential, but to get AVG to GOOD ratings for most of the team and to win by 3 goals...For me it looks more like a trick that TOP 11 is throwing in my face to see how easily I'm winning easy matches no matter of the stats, only to f*ck me up in every single difficult match!

Tomorow I will play against the best team of the league, what are my chances despite the squad I have? 0%,

Yesterday play with exactly same quad my friendly matches agaionst 5 star teams, dominated, played well, countered, scorred, you name it...

How come to get the best Midfielder injured and the most skilled Defender getting suspended in a **** match exactly before the hardiest match I can have?

Nothing more frustrating than when you haven't done anything wrong but the opponent 33yr 3* GK just catchs fire and stopped everything you throw at it for no reason.
I know old players catching fire became ridiculously strong before, but this is insane.

No surprise here against 1'st place. Same formation just played defensive against him. Didn't watch the match!
