So from where should I begin?

Level 11 team, invested almost every season from 5-20 Euros into buying tokens ( not gonna happen anymore Nordeus ).
First 5 seasons...flawless. 5 league wins, 1 Cup and 2 CL's. Pretty good right? Considering since the first season I had very difficult leagues with at least 2-3 5-6 stars teams and very competitive.

From season 6? Let's see
nothing, nothing, nothing, 1CL league , nothing, nothing, nothing !
This season after I invested again 20 E at the beggining of it, bough 3-4 good scout players just to keep my almost 6 stars in shape.
Results:
Champions league: 2 points in 6 matches - the weakiest team in 32 teams.
Cup: Knocked out from a barely 5 start team and no special abilities to any of it's players!
League: Well it's still under way, 3'rd place, Lost all matches of the season against all teams with 5 stars!

You can easily allign a team with 6 starts and most of players having a SA!

Tried all posible formations that I know they might work after maybe a thousands games played!
Moral maximum, Bonus for victory, bench players with bad form, play friendlyes...been there , did all!

Bottom line: Since couple of seasons ( and it's becoming more obvious day by day ) every 5 star team kicks my ass no matter of what !
First guy in my league has same team value and he is winning every single league by FAR ! And he plays 4-4-2 since I know him.

Please advice me what to do now! This is already what I'm planning to do starting from next season:
-Never invest a penny anymore
-Change most of my team and keep only the players that really played good no matter of what ( got 3-4 in my team )

Anything else is above me. I feel like a plant. This game is playing me, not viceversa and it's far away from reality.

PS: Did all the reading posible here on the forum, so most of the answers I've seen them already. I posted more to show everyone how stupid I feel, and it feels good. Nevertheless every comment is more then welcomed!

These words are in what you are wrong. I too had a "era" as a token buyer, and the players are not simply a collection of stars, there's more than that.
This game is not; if I have +0,1 general Q. than the other team I win. Every player have a form to play and perfectly a 4* can contribute and affect the result of a match more than a 7* or 8* player. Remembert that thats a game and all are internal proggramming and % of effectiveness and so.
I've seen after 26 seasons teams like your and I'm not surprised.
As a manager I will suggest you to start doing a little change of mentality and see the the truth of your players, take a look at how they contribute in the matches, and no the stars.
Too I know I say this words usually, but I will say again. 1 player, can give you the 2/3 of a league title. So maybe you need this leader in the MCs or ST's line.

I will add that 1 star are only 5Q. of differance and that will never be enough or a guarantee of your victory...

If you want you can post a pic of how goals, assistances have, matches played and ratings have your team. That will help other managers to suggest you better than looking a collection of stars (almost me)

There's my squad shape and my players statistics in recent matches.


I've got this scout J Cuartas wich is on the bench...unbelieveble player. Hit's 5's after most of his matches. Incredibly usless player. Anytime I insert him in my squad he fouls. Player bought with 50 tokens last season...A total waste of money. 3 goals and 3 assists in 27 matches. Well done lad !

The problem with my team, first of all is that is not performing well during matches. I can't take advantage of the counters, I counciede lots of goals on counters and especially from corners.
1/2 corners i get a goal
1/4 1/5 corners I manage to score

Today's match for example:
I lost my 2'nd place by loosing 3-2 away against a slightly weaker team.
Got 3-4 counters during the match and didn't manage to score.
My opponnent somehow managed to get 10 corners in a match so he killed me, that being a super weak spot of mine.

I normally play high pitch with hard tackling so I can't understand why I give away so many corners. Rarelly I manage to get more then my opponents.
My FK specialist lost his skill. Aparrently he needs LOTS of FK's in order to scorre a goal. I got Defenders with skills and they don't help me out on corners. Neither on attack neither on defence.

It's porbably like you said @Khriss, my team misses those players that may win a match by themselves.
It's ugly...Every easy match I win by Far...Every difficult match I LOSE it. Point. Story of the season.

My best scorrer is my ML FK specialist, that's because he manage to scorre alot against very weak teams.
My best player in term of assists is one of my strikers with Corners SA.
My best Defender is the less skilled of them all. Got 5 defenders that I use frequently usually in 3 DC's formation and my 5 star Defensive Wall Defender remarks himself match after match. ( Ipek - ratings are ridiculously low )
My both GK-s although 6 Star can't pull together 2 consecutive good matches.

I forgot to mention. I never have the pacience with going just with 1 formation. Tried many times to stick with one formation but I normally loose after 2-3 matches so I get angry and I change it.

My favourite style play is:
Offensive, mixt, all field, heavy, mixed, zonal

In addition to that if result is not going well I simply go Force counters and Offside trap and of course adding some arrows.

I remember in the early days I didn't use so much pressing on all the field and the teams I had were running pretty well, but now If I don't go high up especially in heavy matches I get dominated very badly.

I can't seem to recall having faced 2 teams stronger then me all season long. But still 10 defeats and 4 draws.

I can see why you're being countered. I'm not a fan of 3w defence. Take off red arrow on DMC, drop Jalisovec or put a blue arrow on him to see if that helps him. Swap out Kulic for Negraru.

@El Pistolero I'm not also a fan of 3W Defense. I usually play 3D or 4 players defence.
Negraru is a good player but I decided to swap him for a SA player thinking that might help. Will swap him back into the team anyways. Thanks...
As for Jalsovek he is indeed better on defense as I watch most of my matches and he is better in blocking shots then delivering them. I will make him blue.

I played 3n-2w-2-1-2 and won 5/5 but my MC's haven't received a rating above 6 so I've changed formation to see if anything changes and put a blue arrow on 1 MC.

Countering means a little bit less possession in order to force them to play in your half so you can catch them out and create more one on ones. It doesn't really work while attacking. If your defence is better than the attack I would suggest play offside with 3 DC's. Press whole pitch. Mixed passing.

Or normal mentality, no offside, no counter.

I played Offside and counters my entire season despite the teams I was facing. If not from the first half, from second for sure. I like to play them as I have the feeling the game becomes more attractive. Perhaps is not 100% efficient but I allways notice a more opened game on commentaries everytime I do play like this. Lots of corners, free kicks and of course counters.
When I play JUST Offensive against a good team nothing happens. Mostly my team is trying to create spaces and they fail, get alot of shoots from distance that also they fail.
Against a weaker team doesn't really matter , I dominate quite hardly despite my tactics as long the formation is solid.

I've played against teams that they did not manage to counter me almost the entire match but they do have that KEY player in their squad that makes me crazy. Seems like everytime they touch the ball , those particular players manage to squeeze into my defence and get a goal or an assist.

Playing offside while countering contradict each other, imo. It's basically sitting deep but keeping a straight line outside your box.

I never play offside when opponent has better strikers than my defenders. I use it when I am 1. Attacking/press whole pitch and 2. The better side.

I counter when my formation is defensive, my opponent is better and when i need to open up a stubborn defence.
