Main team had 5-0 lead in 36' so there was no drama in 2nd leg of CL 1/8 finals. In league team has 14 wins in a row (100%) and 11pts advantage over 2nd, 13pts over 3rd team. Goal difference is 71-8 :cool:

Celtic continues with dr.Jekyll and mr.Hyde performances; although has bad league form this season, last 3 matches showed signs of improvement. Yesterday team won 5-0 and in cup 2-3 away match. Time will show soon if this was short-term period of good results or maybe start of battle for CL positions on table.

Decent day for the Buffs with a 2-0 home win in the CL for 5-1 agg and 2-0 away win in the league to stay 6pts clear.
Tomorrow starts with a home tie in the Cup after a 2-2 drawn 1st leg and then a visit to the bottom Club on league business.
Previous season I finished 1st in my group (H) and played against a league friend, 2nd in group G and passed him.
This season, finished 1st again in my group (H), while 2nd was another league friend. This season, the same league friend was again in group G but he finished 1st so he crossed with the other league friend and not me.
I played with the second but I met again this guy. We played together in previous season Cup (8 qualif) and I won him again.
Now I 'm creating a games tradition :D

Playing with my other team (just for fun) against an oppo 3 levels above (for the Cup), I trolled him for good. If he wasn't there to make some subs, put 3rd ST and probably set hard attack, I could take the win. :eek:

Champion: Advanced to QTRfinals behind 3:0 and 5:0 victories.
Cup: Very impressive performance as we rolled to a 4:0 victory without the manager present. Definitely didn't expect this against a higher level manager with 9 scouts and 1 world class player playing a narrow diamond. I countered with a 4-1-4-1 hoping that the defensive bunker could protect the 3:0 advantage from the first leg. Oh boy, did it ever!!!

hmm i never seen that there are a possibility to make a Takeover to a HIGHER Level. Actually i could make a takeover form Level 1 and the best team would be Level 26 (i´m as i said before Lv31)
Buffs start this round of matches with an 8-0 win in the league - our 433 v 451V. The opposition registered 0 shots on target and won 0 FKs or CKs.

Right Winger Willie Henderson picked up his 3rd injury of the Season but rumours of a miracle recovery abound.
The Buffs are now 10 pts clear at the top.
Next up was CL business where the Buffs recorded a rather uninspiring 1-0 away win. Buffs Mad announced that "Progression is key! Stop your moaning." Striker Denis Law was the only scorer with his 9th of the CL campaign.
Midfield dynamo Gordon Strachan picked up a yellow which will see him miss the return leg, Scott Brown still has 1 more game to miss in the league through suspension.
21yo Alan Hansen and Steve Nicol regained there 7* status this week.
Here we are approaching the last week of the season. The most difficult season I have to admit.
So the results so far are :
1)1st in league with +2 points and +4 goals from the second.
2)quarter-finals in CL , giving our first match tonight, playing as guests.
3)semi-finals in CUP, first match tomorrow, playing as guests.
Looks like a trebble is coming our way this season, but Nicolas FC have been more than satisfied so far with the results..

Champions: We started in a 4-4-2 classic, the opponent, a 4-2-2-2 hexagon. Belgian ML Van Den Brande got the action started in the 17th minute, placing us ahead 1:0. Djabour would add another in the 24th, granting us an early two goal advantage. That advantage was short lived as Robben got injured in the 38th minute and the opposition pulled one back in the 44th.
After the half, I changed formation from 4-4-2 classic to 4-4-1-1. I was struggling with the decision of what formation to use, but recalled last seasons CL final, when my 4-2-2-2 hex was beaten 3:0 by a 4-4-1-1! Opponent would add the equalizer 6 minutes later, knotting us up in the 58th minute. Down a key player, conceding a pair of goals at home, the tension was building. Like in the cup when Robben got sent off with a red card, the team would respond. Burke would score off a pass from Grabherr in the 67th minute, followed by a Gamboa goal in the 80th minute to reestablish a two goal advantage. We weren't out of the woods yet, as my central defender Tanis, picked up a straight red, sending the opponent to the penalty spot. Our goal keeper then made the play of the match, saving the PK in style. We then capitalized on the big momentum swing, with Djabour finding Gamboa to finish off the scoring and a resounding 5:2 victory.
Its nice to have a few days off before the cup continues. We're facing a higher level manager whom runs a 5-3n-2. Team looks solid, but fortunately for us he used that same formation in every cup match so far; so tactically it probably won't be a chess match.

Buffs FC enter into a complete defensive collapse - conceding 2 goals in 2 league games!:p
But those 2-1 and 4-1 wins maintain a 10pts gap at the top.
The second placed team is on a charge atm having invested heavily in youth in mid season. Can the Buffs snatch their candy tomorrow?
In the CL later the Buffs are hopeful of sealing a SF spot at home after the win away - rest time however remains a big issue for the Buffs again this Season.
Still nothing conceded,let's see how SF will go:p
