Buffs FC start this round of matches with a 3-1 home CL win.
This will be the 7th day this Season there has been 3hrs between matches.

And the Buffs finish today with a 6-1 win in the league for a 5pts lead.
All goals came in the first half with only injuries, bookings and Superhuman-mode opposition defenders in the 2nd.
When Buffs Mad says he likes midfielders involved.......3 of todays goals came from MCs and Scott Brown, MC is now suspended for both of the next League and Cup games and Gordon Strachan, MC is on a yellow in all 3 competitions. O.o

Lost cup 2nd leg 3-2 so out 5-4 on agg, totally screwed they scored from ko then we give a pen away which they score, so I make 2 subs and changed formation and we level things up so tie is all square then on 88mins they score, cheers

So here we are again after loads of management about the form of players used in the first 11 starting , after my second game I have all players from 7+ form and winning the second match of the cup which brings me to quarter-finals, continuing in the top16 in CL, and placed 2nd in the League 1 point behind the first place.

Well... We've reached the Quarter-Finals of the Cup...
With a large token investment into the squad we could bag yet another treble this season for almost certain, but I've decided it's not really with it anymore. There are around 3 stronger teams than us by first XI in the draw and we play one of them in the next round.
Even the Champions League is very tough with several scout teams still remaining in the competition.
Day began win a terrific win in dramatic fashion. We entered the 2nd leg of the cup trailing 2:1 on aggregate. We came out of the gates strong with a 22nd minute goal from David Rodriguez. Rodriguez would add another one in 32nd minute, with a Anthony Djabour goal sandwiched in-between. Our opponent made his first substitution in the 38th minute, with another goal coming a minute later. We entered half-time with a 3:1 advantage. We added another goal on a long range effort from George Mariettakis that was miscued into the net by the keeper for a 4:1 advantage. We seemed well on our way to the QTR-finals before some late minute drama, resulting from conceding in the 81st minute. The defense buckled down as the opponent pushed for the decisive goal, seeing us through 5:4 on aggregate.
League, we've moved 4 points clear of 2nd behind a 11:0 thrashing of one of the leagues minnows and the previous 2nd place squad being upset 1:0. We're 10-2-0 so far.
Champions: Finished the group on 13 points...
Although things have started strong, several daunting challenges still await us as the cup has several of strong teams at my level remaining in addition to some potent level 10 teams (i'm level 9). In the champions league, if we are to win it, we most likely have to go through the best team on the server; a token buyer with power support.
Regarding the cup QTRfinal draw. Good news is the opponent always plays through the middle and has no flanks threats. Bad news is the only player if poor form is the goal keeper and its a higher level manager with a 5 star team for their level. Needless to say, we should be a sizable underdog!

S16L16 - League 2nd, CL through group, Cup out. Good 5* 1st 11 playing 5-4-1. Good number of T's little $, which can happen at higher levels. Highlight, best game ever in 33 seasons of playing T11 in CL group where I got a result (0-0) against a 'traditional nations' T buyer, who had a team full 9* all with SA & multiple positions & 7 supporters and I got game over achievement. I mean why do they bother?
S11L11 - League 6 points clear in 1st, CL topped group, Cup in 1/4 finals. Very good large 5* squad with 2 x scout level playing 3-1-3-3. $150M in budget but little T's, the reverse problem of my L16 team.
S6L6 - League 1st, no CL, Cup in 1/4 finals. Very good 5* squad with 5 scout level playing 3-2-3-2 with huge budget $ & T.
Still having fun.
Original minimum expectation was 5 trophies and CL qualification across all teams, which we are on track to beat.

Stumble for the Buffs in the previous league match with a 1-0 loss away to 11th, but they get back on course today with a 3-0 win against 3rd. The 'half-time' 13 match gap to second is now 4pts.
Progression to the next round was already assured but a 5-1 away win in the Cup crossed the ts on an 11-1 agg win. The next round opponent has managed his Q so it will be tight (although he hasn't 'managed' his spelling very well - "Asenal FC").
A decent performance in the way leg of CL resulted in a 3-1 win.
Apart from the GK picking up 2 6s in the raings todays match saw the Buffs maintain a reasonable standard with 10x7s and 10x8s for the starters.

My main team played weird CL match against weaker opponent whose MC was sent off at 24'. I've expected more, won only 1-2. Again there was weird T11 "logic", nonsense counterattacks and "favoured" position free kicks (right side isn't favoured position for left footed player!!!??? :eek:). At least I've won... :rolleyes:

Celtic who usually has good games in CL and Cup, weak in league, today lost 4-0 away against weaker oppo in CL and won away against (then 2nd, now 3rd) team in league :rolleyes:

In my league things are difficult, 3 friends with good teams plus 2 newcomers with good 5*-6* teams.

Here we are at the half of the season, Let's take a look what we have done so far.
After experimenting for the 2 first matches of the League that were lost, we have been undefeated and climbing slowly to the first place. Just a matter of time I guess.
Probably the most difficult League since we first joined top11. Nicolas FC , by respecting every oponent, is continuing to the Cup and Champions League, probably a perfect chance to win our first Treble this season...

Nicolas FC successfully passed an easy evening at the Ahmed FC's stadium by scoring 6 times. Only a routine game left to qualify in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

After loads of games we saw again a 6 form in one of our games. This came from our new recruit I. Papara that will need some time to get used to his new team and get the winning spirit of the team.
Now same player got a 7 on a difficult game for the cup quarter-finals for playing 60'.

Update:
When I arrived at 30 minute for Cup home match today, I was surprised that my team was behind 0:3. That's quite incredible as I am confident that my team is a better team. As I noticed that the opponent has a 1* Left defender, I made a minor adjustment to focus on both flanks. In response, my team quickly scored 4 goals from 32' to 70'. By the end, we won 4:3. Though we effectively just lead by half goal, I still have full confident to advance to next round but should be careful that the team can lose with no good reason.

CL - Top 16, drawn in away match.
Cup - was knocked out in playoff round
Comments:
In 2nd match of a 3 hour apart consecutive matches, I rushed back home about 3 minutes before match starting. However, due to network problem at my home, I could not make urgent starting lineup change, recover players’ condition, or even attend the match. The team was eventually defeated. Other than this, the team was only defeated for once by the significant stronger league leader. The team’s performance is still far better than early season expectation.
league: 11-2-0. 1st place.
champions: 7 star striker Robben (2 skills points from 8 stars) get injured in the 2nd minute. We ended up winning 3:0 though.
cup: Playing against a team with two 5 star players, 8 scouts and 1 world class player. We're tied until the 46th minute when Arjen Robben, our 8 star player gets a straight red card. We then score 3 second half goals while playing with 10 men against a stronger team, for a 3:0 victory.
Gotta say, I feel bad for my opponent; weaker team with 10 men plays better after highest quality player gets a red card! What is going on here Nordeus???

In the Cup the Buffs fail to overcome the first real hurdle facing them in the Cup but remain content'ish
