but you will now remember how big a gamble it is buying players early in the season. Unless I'm desperate I wait a few days for the wars to cool off.

i've bought a lot of player before the season and im only level 1 with 17.2 rating
the cup match im paired up with is lvl 3 and so
is it fair at all?

If you choose to up your Quality, the cup draw will be harder. Cup is based on average Quality of best minimum squad (14).

The best way to progress is to use different formations and different tactics to beat different teams.
I just started i have 4.1m and 31 tokens because i won my first league in 1st place

Don't feel too bad. In history of my teams, if I failed to upgrade the team early in the season because of loses in auctions, the final league positions of my teams are not as bad as expected even though I struggle to arrange starting lineup that I desire.

As a non-token buyer/farmer, I always avoid involving in bidding wars. I usually give up in latest round 3. Losing 4 tokens is very painful to me.

I'm a non-token buyer too ! I had earned about 60 tokens last season and on day one i lost 23 , that's why i'm feeling bad

Why have you went so far for a 3 stars player? If you have a limited number of tokens, until you will save more, go for low quality and old 5 stars players because you can get them without big problems for a very good price and still they are way more better then a 3 stars young player.

My suggestion for lower level is to buy cheap 5* that are below 26 year old.

Players far away from the next star are cheap to buy, they train reasonably fast and if you sell them when they are close to the next star they will become expansive, you can make money that way.

Just the ordinary buy low sell high, and host bidding war for your players instead of getting into one

If you want to win bids wake up early in the morning and buy your players , coz at afternoon and at night there will be more peoples and buying players will be harder .. True story
