Yeah, I've learnt about wasting tokens the hard way. With my previous team, I was bidding for a 19yo 5* goalie and was in a bidding war with another manager. Despite the manager not having enough money, they were able to continue bidding and eventually I lost the bid and wasted 40T, which for myself farming the tokens was a fair amount lost for nothing. It was partially due to this that I looked towards negotiations as if you spend the tokens, you either got the player if accepted or got the tokens back.
Little update on my end.
Following Kev's convincing win against new team 'DeamTeam', it means that the title cannot be won tonight. The reserves will play Ibrahim FC tonight to try and maintain the perfect record. As Chikin didn't play earlier, he will play tonight.
Meanwhile, the main team had the cup match at home to Mr Linh, a team that on paper, should have given us a strong match (they do have a fair few 7* players after all). The first half was cagey, with Rhondda Rovers taking the lead after 36 minutes to leave a nervy second half.......................then we gave them a middle finger and went on a rampage.

Two interesting things came out of the ties. The first was the unusually high amount of 'counter attacks' we had, either due to losing the ball or another player clearing it. The second was that the other tie also finished 5-1 in favour of the weaker team (they arguably have a harder task than I do). Going into the second leg with a very strong chance, but my biggest enemy will be my mobile signal, as I have a League game first, then the Cup game a few hours later.
League: Last couple days, saw us held to a scoreless draw, slipping back into 2nd place, then picking up a come from behind 3:2 victory today, reclaiming the top spot.
Champions: Won 2:0 to advance to the semi-finals. It's our 7th CL semi-final appearance in 9 tries.

AEPRE FC recovers their form before a very important game coming tomorrow aganist FC Union MHL, beating FC Chip Munk at home with the score of 9-1. Oscar scores his 4th hat-trick of the season, as well as Pavel Sochocki, who puts the ball into the back of the net three times today.
AEPRE FC started the game with an early goal from Pavel Sochocki, who gets the ball from Frederic Soumare's great opening, and quickly shoots it on target and passes the keeper. Eight minutes later, Soumare with a great run through the defense, founds Alberto Baglio, who scored it to make it 2-0.
Oscar scored a long-ranged shot in the 22' to increase the lead further, and there's another goal coming in the next four minutes, from Borja Bartra's shot assisted by Soumare.
Luis Espinoza's long-ranged shot in the 33' was successful, and he added one extra blue pack reward for the club's dominance. Oscar with another long-range attempt in the 40', ended in the back of the net, and the score is 6-0, and that is the score for the first half.
Soumare passes to Sochocki in the 57th minute, before the 6* AMC puts the club in a very massive 7-0 lead. It is Soumare's 3rd assist of the game and that puts him on the top of the assist leaderboard for the league.
FC Chip Munk's DC Nguyen Manh Dung, who has natural positions of DR/DMR, fouled an attacker, the referee awards him a yellow. Oscar takes the free kick from the right of the box, crosses it to Sochocki, who headed it to complete his hat-trick in the 60'.
Oscar then also completes his own hat-trick after helping his teammate do so, and also his 4th of the season, from a free-kick attempt that perfectly passes through the defensive wall.
One minute later, FC Chip Munk broken the goal-scoring drought, with Huynh Duc Cuong, who runs through AEPRE FC's messed-up defense, allowing Dung to score, and that is the final goal of this match.
Goalscorers Sochocki 1' 57' 60' Baglio 9' Oscar 22' 40' 71' Bartra 26' Espinoza 33' Nguyen Manh Dung 72'
Man of the Match Soumare (9), Oscar and Sochocki both also receives 9 rating.
The 2nd-placed Angus FC will play Gencfenerbahce18, which they dramaticly drew 2-2 in the first tie at home. They went 2-1 down in the first half, but Darryl Highlands managed to equalizes and snatch a point away in the 57'. The match will begins on 21:14.
FC Union MHL will play Athletic Duel, which they have dominated the game at home in the first tie with the score of 10-1. The match will be on 2:13.
เชลซี FC (Chelsea FC) have already played their match earlier at 11:42, aganist 2nd from bottom team Milan FC, and they have well won the game 6-0.
Lost my first game in the league and the chance to be today the winner (by maths), making a noob mistake :o
While I was set a new formation 4-4-2 diamond, I didn't change the orders of a previous 4-5-1 V, so mr Nobody and mr Nowhere were trying to flank the oppo. (wasn't watching)
So, I lost a 0-2 from the 4th team and disappointed my friends in 2nd and 3rd position.

Great victory in CH.L. and the team is preparing for the 9th consecutive final. :)

big surprise for me was that the top dog disqualified in the previous round (from the other group ).
This guy with a weird team name had a really good team and sure knows how to win
Attachment 41501
Attachment 41502
So, I don't know if must feel happy that he is out or that I 'll have to face the team that sent him home. :p
Mini update my end.
Rhondda Rovers played their League game against new club Cane FC and gave them an equaliser thanks to the 'concedes corner again' bollocks (second of my seven goals conceded). However, it was a small reprieve as Rhondda Rovers ran out 6-1 winners and are now officially the Champions of the League with a 17 point gap and 5 games remaining.
Unfortunately, ever present defender Adam Allman was injured during the match and was going to be out for six days. Magic sponge, fit, blah blah blah, you get the idea by now.
Tomorrow sees the reserves get a match against hhhh in the league, with anything less than a convincing win disappointing, while the main team will play Mr Linh in the second leg of the Cup.
I hope my mobile signal plays nice in work tomorrow.
Surely nothing to brag, but I guess I have a player that isn't a morning person

I am having a real problem with 3W-1-3W-1-2 anyone got any ideas? I have been going 4-5-1V beat him once at home but lost twice away?
AEPRE FC eliminated another threatening challenge with a 3-0 away victory over the 2nd-placed team FC Union MHL, with a full 5* lineup and manager attending the game.
The away fans gets to celebrate first in the 24th minute, when Oscar runs through the wide-open defense, allowing him to score the opener.
FC Union MHL got two counter-attack chances in the 31', when Joe Sugg clears the ball, founds FC Union's strikier Thomas Dietriech, but Sugg was there to stop the attack going on. Four minutes later, Alfie Deyes gives the ball to Dietrich, and Sugg again with a tackle.
Deyes then scores a long-range in the 41'. Just before the first half ends, Luis Espinoza tries to cross the ball to an attacker, but the home team's keeper Hicham Skouma was there to grab the ball first.
The final goal comes from Frederick Aboagye's long-ranged shot in the 71' where keeper Skouma pushes the ball into his own net.
Dietrich seems to get a lot of chances for FC Union today but couldn't convert them into a goal. Sugg and Bartra seems tio have a good defensive game today.
The gap between AEPRE FC and FC Union MHL is now 7 points, but Angus FC also have 49 points just like FC Union, but they are behind with goal difference. They will play Arrow today, which the gap could be redeuced to 4 points if they won, or 6 if drew.
เชลซี FC (Chelsea FC) drew FC Chip Munk 2-2 earlier today. After the MC Le The Anh, who has natural positions of AML/ML scores in the 55' to put the 11th-placed underdog into the 2-1 lead, Thierry Nasri managed to equalizes twenty minutes later.
8 out of 11 starting players won 8 rating. The 3 who won 7 ratings are Espinoza, Soumare and Sochocki.
Goalscorers Oscar 24' Deyes 41' Aboagye 71'
