How to win against this formation , because even that i'm stronger than his team i lost 2-0 in a away match champions league and i was playing 4-3-3 .So i still have a chance to win my home match but not playing 4-3-3 i guess :p .

3-2-2-2-1 butterfly usually does the trick. that is what I use.Quote:

You can try 3-3W-1-3 , you need to score an you cover the wide positions in middle , good luck

In a way I hope you don't find a good counter to it, this is one of my main two used formations! :p
But I think my other main formation might be a good way to go against this?

Well, this system, 4-5-1 V it's one of the 4-5 most popular formations. You can play with orders defensive/through flanks/counter and it's maybe the most successful formation against better q teams.
Also I can add that for unknown reasons, many times, it's favoured by the program :o
I play against it with 3 Def. wide, 1 DMC to cut the oppo counters, 2 MC, 2 wingers and 2 ST.
With that positions you can face all oppo counters, specially if you have better quality and in good form players.
But the key is to play with the same defending mentality and counters. If you try attack it can destroy you.
If you are unlucky and take a goal from the oppo, things are very tough cause as you trying attacking, the more dangerous is to accept a second goal from counters.
So be patient ;)

Chance created is the number of shots plus the number of enemy tackles. So, I have achieved a chance creation ratio of 52:34 in this game, making the game highly in my favor.
It was a CL game 2 days ago, my default formation is one of the hardest counter against any formation with 1~2 ST and single wingbacks as flanks (such as 41212 or 43N12). It is also effective against may popular formations including 451v and 442 but not really as hard, so I call it a soft counter.
Even if you have created more chances you can still lose because the form of your players is a huge factor.
