I joined halfway through league 1 so I just had league matches. I did win the league but not through skill it was basically bought. I watched videos and got 400+ tokens, changed a load into money, spent about 20mil to 30mil on players and walked it. What I didn't know is I will now get harder cup matches oh well you learn as you go I guess

There are many threads discussed why and how Cup is hard that you can easily find. I will say the probability of winning Cup (1/128) is far lower than CL (1/32). I also believe teams starting a season with lower quality players, say average middle 4* or lower will likely enjoy better draw result. If they will vastly improve (easier for them because just adding any 5* player can help), they will have good chance to win.

If you seriously hunger for Cup trophies, suggest you put more effort on it when you are still in low levels. Cups are relatively easier at this stage. For myself, all my Cup trophies were collected at level 2 or 3.

I don't think it is easy to locate Cup specialist in this forum because most users here are enthusiastic managers with good team all season.

loooool nice, with a 20-30mil team you should still be able to do well in the cup though. How'd you get tokens from watching videos though, I thought it was only boosters you could get

Yea it is, I wasn't thinking straight. I got all the tokens from downloading apps, entering competitions etc. I spent them all but supersonic adds was offering 600 tokens to sign up with a gambling site and deposit £10. I had £15 left over in an old poker account so I transfered that into my bank and used it to get the 600 tokens. I'm too cheap to use my own money to buy tokens lol

With so many tokens and cash, probably your life is easier. I only get 35 tokens per season until in this season I noticed that sometimes videos are available that I can get 1 or even 2 more daily tokens. Tokens are often valuable resource to me.

To compete in Cup, it is important that you have methods to vastly improve your team after cup draw. Unlike league & CL, in Cup you will face opponents coming from higher levels. They are similar in quality with your team at season beginning but higher level teams are easier to improve as they can buy players with higher quality players. This is the problem you need to overcome.

In fact, any competition is easier at low levels. You still have many opportunities to study how to play.
