when you set most of thing to auto like auto sub penalty taker and things got few questions

who should i put in penalty taker i usually choose highest finish attribute

also in Free kick taker i choose highest shooting attribute but some times i got player with free kick special ability but his shooting power is pretty week like ranked 7th or less compare to others in this case how much his ability effect

same in corner kick taker i go for highest crossing attribute also same issue with free kick players with special ability got low numbers compare with non ability guys also what foot should i choose for right and left side

for captain i go for highest pys&ment average
any suggestion or someone tested something else or am i doing it wrong

Captain is cosmetic... you can choose any player, it wont affect the game...
