No, Iam pretty sure that it is
1st A v 2nd B
2nd A v 1st B etc for C v D, E v F, and G v H.
Happy to be corrected though, but I think that it has happened to my teams that way.
It also helps in that group memebers cannot meet again until the final. A random draw could place you against a group member in the next round.
