Mini update my end.
Rhondda Rovers main team went up against Dogan at home in the first leg of the Cup and though I was unable to watch the match fully, we managed to pull off a 1-0 win. Judging by who provided the assist, I assume it was from a corner.
Attachment 45258
Happy with the 1-0 lead as we were able to keep them out, meaning that an away goal for me in the second leg will make it very difficult for them to get back into it.
In the League, the reserves went up against Ponte-Noire at home, had 80/20 formation and won 8-0 as a result, with Hotz scoring a hat trick including a free kick.
Attachment 45259
This makes it 14 wins in 14 so far and generally dominating.
League: Buffs FC pick up another win but it was a struggle against a mid-table side we drew with on the opening league day.
It had been a light injury season but recently we've picked up a few to push the tally to 8 in all competitions - so starting to look like 'medium' carnage in S15. Tonight Left Winger Jim Baxter picked up his second of the season after opening the scoring. ST Stephen Naismith seemed to lose his bearings while defending a corner and halfed the opposition striker in two - the levelled from the PK before...........
........DL/DC Steve Nicol nodded in from a FK to pick up the MoM award, his first this season. This was Nicol's 308th match of his Buffs career.
2-1
Season Objectives
Thankfully I didn't select trophies as this Season's targets, opting instead for Performance Targets.
- Jack Harper, ST - 40 goals --------------currently sitting on 31 goals.
- Liam Henderson, MC - 7.50+ average rating--------------------he's struggling at 6.73; I should've selected his midfield partner James Morrison who is on 7.45 ;)
- Steve Nicol, DL/DC to reach 320 career matches---------------as above, 308 so just 12 more.
So we're still 10 pts behind leader who now has a 4pt lead at the top.
Still in 5th but both 3rd and 4th are only 1pt ahead.
2nd this Season might be a realistic, albeit challenging, target.
Just a workmanlike 2:0 victory with Academy Gem Robben netting a brace and MOTM!!!

Just wrapped up the home league for the CL. After winning 5-2 away in the first match, I decided to give a few of the reserves a run and experiment using 4-1-2-1-2 Narrow diamond against his 4-3-3. He was watching as well. It didn't start too well, with them having numerous shots on goal, and after 20 mins he'd had 10 shots on goal, 4 on target, with me just having the lone shot. My Goalkeeper single handedly kept me in the match. After that I changed to a 4-5V formation, and boom things changed. Apart from my star MC getting injured (grrrr), we demolished him in the second half 4-0. Surprisingly he didn't try any counter formations, I guess he was resigned to defeat.
Bit confused about my Goalkeeper getting a 5 rating, and my striker getting a 6 (First time ever). Oh well. Onwards to the Quarterfinals we march!

League: Buffs FC take to league action without main striker Harper. Stephen Naismith deputises and scores 2 1st half goals both assisted by Right Winger Ryan Gauld. The opposition responded in 61 minutes to fray the nerves. Since the players were tiring (and because BuffsMad couldn't resist a fiddle) Ikechi Anya replaced Jim Baxter on the left and Jack "I thought I was supposed to be resting" Harper came on for Naismith on 71 mins. Harper fired in the 3rd 2 mins later and Gauld was supplier again for the 4th when faltering MC Liam Henderson half-volleyed home a CK to complete the 4-1 against another side the Buffs had drawn with previously.
2 goal Naismith seemed a bit put out that his brace was not enough for the bubbly - he's gotta learn that sometimes that grabbing the headlines is not always enough. 3x assist guy Naismith let the bubbles tickle his nose as he warbled in the bath and thought "Naismith? Naichance!" *groan*
CL : We're through to the quarter finals as we beat Porto FC 4-0 (7-4 agg.). The match started pretty much like the 1st leg, we were on the attacking side for the first half, then we backed down a bit in the 2nd half, all 4 goals were scored in the first half.
Going to face another group leader in the quarters, Sydney FC.
League : Today we face the dead last with 0 points hoping for a nice result to make up for yesterday's unexpected and unwanted loss. Getting ready for tomorrow's match though, against our main rivals, FC-APK, looking for points lead again. Will try to play without main-squad players that has 1 yellow card.
Quick United Update: (we played agains raival and number three
We did will, Hamid made three assists, and we concolidated the first place in league, Yes later its tha awful CL match :(

I was out of town and absent from T11 for almost 2 season days. In those 2 days, for both my teams, I set one starting up to play 2 league matches, extensively trained the other players to avoid wasting their conditions, and let injured players recovering naturally to save red packs.
L22 Team
Attachment 45301
In those 2 days, the team had 1 win and 1 draw in league matches and increased the lead to 7 points. Sadly, after I returned, my team suffered 2 narrow 0-1 losses in Cup and league matches against 2 higher quality team.
The team still lead by 4 points in league and have home court advantage in 2nd cup matches. This is more than satisfactory as clearly this team is not among the highest quality team in league and cup. Recently some player forms seem worsening, but I think the depth of this team will help to handle the upcoming league and Cup matches on next season day.
L14 Team
Attachment 45302
After 4 consecutive league wins, the teams finally climbed to leading position.
This young, deep, & balanced team improves quickly. The full squad is more than sufficient for competing only in league. I am considering to let go the only 4 star player who was also the best scorer in previous 2 seasons. His form seems worsening recently, and I want at least one player spot for academy players.

I have 2 easy win games against deserted teams next. However, I have 4 players on yellow cards and I would idealy like them to deliberately get another yellow in the next game (happens in real life). Would changing tactics to hard tackling help and are there any other things that I can change.
It wont help u much tho... My players get more cards when tackling is set to normal, than if it's set to hard...

Rhondda Rovers main team said Ciao to Ciao FC in the Champions League as the rout was sealed at home with a 5-1 win, meaning that we qualify for the next round 9-1 on aggregate, though at the cost of losing Aleksic to injury in the match.
Attachment 45346
Interestingly, I play Meltano in the next round, who happens to be on my friends list. In the last day or so, they have undergone a huge amount of transfer activity and have become a stronger team as a result. This could be an interesting tie.
In the League, the reserves played Andia at their place and started off well following a goalkeeping cock up to give me the lead in the 4th minute. However, though it was a good start, this is a team that scored two of my three goals conceded in the League all season. Thankfully, no jitters came about and we won comfortably in the end with a 4-0 victory.
Attachment 45348
Attachment 45347
Wasn't able to attend the match, but won anyways 3:0 (7:0) aggregate.
Unfortunately DC/DMC Redknap picked up a 4 day injury (leaving us with only 5 defensive players), and Holy's yellow means he must sit out the first leg of the qtrs. Could be worse though, it could have been my 9* striker getting injured...
Decision time: Despite having 6 stars of quality, Redknap probably won't start the QTRS (if healthy). However, since options are limited in the back, should I expend the reds to roster depth, if necessary.
Bizarre stat: This marks the 15th consecutive game we haven't injured an opposing teams player! This should be a good sportsmanship achievement or something!!!
EDIT: League match. Picked up 3 points with neither team suffering an injury. Make this 16 straight w/o injuring the opposition... We're now 10 points clear of 2nd, as they continue to scuffle after beating us 4 days ago.
Palace Casuals are through to the Quarter Finals of the Champions League after two tight games - thank goodness for two away goals...
Attachment 45349Attachment 45350
Opponent put through a friend request after the second game - would be interested in meeting him again so accepted...
My L22 team just suffered the 3rd consecutive losses in official matches, including 2 league matches. The lead may soon be reduced to 1 point. This is not surprising as the qualities of my starters are often clearly lowered than the league opponents. Reasons of poor performances includes goal drought of strikers in last 3 matches and choices of MC were greatly limited due to many injuries and suspensions. The forms of front court players are biggest concerns at this moment.
Generally, I like the players in this full squad team. But positions like GK, DC, MR are not really arranged for rotations. Some changes for short & long term are necessary. I am considering replacing a striker to seek for more goals in short term, upgrading young but slow training 4 star DL, and selling a GK, DC or DR to spare a player slot for academy players.
out of cup 3-3 on away goals after giving ourselves too much to do after 1st leg
CL (yesterday): Buffs FC do what's necessary in a 1-1 draw at home to progress 3-1 on agg.
'Resting' Striker Jack Harper came off the bench to plop a FK on MC Morrison's head for the equaliser. GK Craig Gordon was busy and gained pass marks, but didn't shine - 7. (!5 shots, 5 on target, 5 CKs, 0 FKs, 1 goal against + all the other stuff a GK does/deals with that isn't recorded.)
Note to Opposition Manager, again: Your 8* ST still needs a rest. ;)
*Sneaky Edit*
Cup: Buffs FC win 2-0 at home in the Cup for a 6-1 aggregate. This match saw the Buffs Judicial Panel come off the Bench for a start: Forrest, MC, Anya AML; Maloney, AMR; Naismith, ST - all recording uninspiring 7s in the ratings.
DMC Alan Hansen marked his 250th game for the Buffs with the opener and the Magnum. It was one of those mazey, full pitch dribbles and finishes that (only) T11 DMCs do so well. >.< Obviously the Commentator didn't know what was coming as he twice exclaimed "He may go all the way" - as if there was any doubt. ;)
Right and Left Wingers Gauld & Baxter came on for the last 15 mins - Baxter added the second 4 mins from time.
In the league later the Buffs welcome 3rd to Abbey Park.
out of the cup, out of champion leauge, 2nd in the league. What a FREAKING season !!!
Buffs, Alan Hansen is past it. Have you seen in on MOTD recently?
But, I like your idea of renaming your players after your favourites. Must have a few tokens to spend, but, then that adds fun to the game. My team is Mansfield Town (English League div 2 and not doing well) so to rename my players will probably make them play worse.
Mini update: Out of CL were sad.. aaarw
United needed to reedem them self, and they surly did exactly that:

I am just gonna Buff in a keeper rating :p

guess thoose two saves were awfull
Attachment 45362
Yeah. Think it was Hansen that said "You can't win anything with kids." He was talking about the breakthrough of Scholes, the Nevilles, Beckham, Butt etc into Man Utd. >.<
I used to stick to the more traditional Scots favorites names (Bremner, Dalglish, McGrain, Souness etc), just lately I've started adding some current players and youngsters - got tired of seeing the same names ;)
I got 3 points lead again in league after beating the 2nd 1-0 in a tight match, I had more chances on goal but his weren't any weaker or less threatening. It was the first match in over a week now that I play with my main squad players all well and ready to play.
More success for the Casuals, another Level 22 scalp in the Cup...
Attachment 45366Attachment 45367
Lots of sweating after the second goal was scored - if Polis had scored they'd have won on Away Goals. The third goal was met with a great cheer! :D :D
Yet again the late, late booking has deprived me of a Fair Play red case...
...even more, 5 day injury for my Midfielder McCaul   - first team injury since the League Round 6 match.
Just checked, Palace Casuals are the only Level 21 team left in the competition, the other three semi-finalists are Level 22.
Another record, only our second ever Cup Semi-Final...
Mini update my end.
Rhondda Rovers main team went up against Dogan away with a 1-0 lead from the first leg. I was unable to watch the match due to work and unfortunately, we paid the price as we lost 3-1, meaning we are now out of the Cup after losing 3-2 on aggregate. Disappointing, but I was very unlikely to win the Cup due to a team with a 7* overall squad rating that boasted a couple of 8* players. :(
Attachment 45374
In the League, the reserves came up against Donatorii at home and won convincingly with a 6-0 win and an 80/20 possession count (starting to have a few of these recently).
Attachment 45375
This leaves us still top with an unbeaten record at present.
Lastly, in a final bit of late transfer activity, Rhondda Rovers managed to pull off four signings early this morning, a DL/DC, a DC/DMC, a MC and a ST. All were bought for 1T each.

These players replaced 22yo DC Adam Allman, 22yo DL/DC Carlos Del Portillo, 22yo MC Cristian Lubo and 21yo ST Johannes Haberkorn. All players leave with Rhondda Rovers best wishes after being crucial players in previous seasons.
Now my strikeforce consists of Chikin, Hotz and Sweet. There's a link somewhere.
YESYESYES!

Finally broke the 6B total, which was one of the aims I set out for myself at the start of the season.
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...d/20052015.png
5 way shoot out in the league and still in the CL, but other than that I'm now looking forward to the next season.
Still trying to get rid of some of my deadwood, but not finding any buyers at the moment. My intention is to not bring in anyone until I have got rid of ALL my un-needed players - and if it ends up that I have to wait until the end of next season to do that, well I still think my team will be strong enough to promote again without new blood.
Farming for Tokens is all but over in the UK, so hardly any growth at all in the Token front this season. I've put around an extra 200 onto my total when it has been available, so will still start next season with more tokens than I've ever had.
League: Buffs FC welcome the 3rd place side to Abbey Park - who we lost to in last season's Cup SF - and sent them to 5th with a 4-0 win. Its was more effective than spectacular,
Young striker Jack Harper returned to the starting line up and banged in 2 1st half goals. Goals from each wing came either end of the 2nd half but Harper proved a bit wasteful in between - thats 6 games now he's failed to add to his 11 MoMs. I don't think his form issue is solved yet. >.< DC Andrew Robertson was making a strong claim for MoM but Baxter nicked it with his goal at the death.
The Buffs move third but will need to keep banging them in if they are to catch 2nd. Lets hope its "Steady the Buffs" until Round 22 when they start a 3 game stint v 1st, 2nd then 4th.
26yo striker Mario Gomez today with his goal 400 for the club! To be continued:-)http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05...0904eab66e.jpg
League: Netherlands (1st) vs. Cuneyt FC (4th)! Despite being in 4th, it was this Cuneyt FC squad that won the league over us two seasons ago, so we know they're capable of winning this match.
Game started in spectacular fashion as an OZ yellow card, resulted in Robben rifling home a rocket for a 1st minute advantage. We added a 27th minute goal for a 2:0 advantage. Things looked bleak for Cuneyt FC, trailing by a pair early against the reigning CL winner. However, Cuneyt would quickly remind the crowd, that it was them that denied us the league title two seasons ago, by swiftly pulling one back in the 35th minute.
Whatever Cuneyt's manager said in the half-time pep talk worked, as they emerged from the intermission a reenergized squad. They would create multiple opportunities before pulling even in the 61st minute. Things escalated as Cuneyt picked up their 3rd yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute; a fact the Netherlands manager wasn't happy about. Fearing a potential injury due to the oppositions rough play, the Netherlands sideline motioned the official for a red, but to no avail. Things remained deadlocked for the next quarter-hour as Renk would snatch the game-winner from the jaws of the draw.
This victory, sees us (15-0-1) retain our 10 point advantage atop the league and extends our advantage over 5th to 18 points.
MotM, again goes to Robben; his 15th in 25 matches.
Next up: Champions League QTR's, immediately after daily reset.
So I just want to brag about my DC and Captain. He was an original Nordgen and he came with the defensive wall SA. And at the age of 22 his training hasn't slowed down. Pity I never have any greens to power train him.
This is his 5th season with Blackkiwi and he seems to be getting better with age.
I'm usually happy with DC's averaging around 7 in terms of ratings, and MoM is usually out of the question since many goals are scored :D
But this guy is pulling out spectacular ratings (for me) each game, and his amazing defensive efforts each game are helping me keep clean sheets against my top opposition!
Attachment 45430
You may notice he has 37/50 for DL trained. This was on complete accident. I started training him in this position on accident, and I didn't realise. Because I always used to play on my Phone, the SP got auto allocated to this new position after that stupid update. I unsuccessful tried to email Nordgen asking if I could get the 37 SP back, but alas they didn't. Such a waste :(
So yea, shout out to my Captain! He also has the most caps of any player in Blackkiwi history. I know he's not spectacular compared to some of your big guns :p
I would say i`m promoted with my B Team as i`m 27pts clear of 8th with only 30pts left, I`m also in the 1/4 final of the champions league with the 1st leg today and after losing 3-1 away in the 1st leg of the cup i managed too win 3-0 at home so into the semi final 4-3 on agg
Attachment 45432
the onlything make me content this season is find this one :(( sad
