Aww, you should have won
What about using a striker? :p

After I've been away for a few days, I came back to find that I forgot my best and only ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶ MC out of the formation because he was suspended in league. So, we played both quarter finals of CL and 2 games in league without him, which cost us going further in the CL.
Lost in 1st leg 2-0, and drew in 2nd 2-2.
Had no problems in league though as we won all matches I missed and still leading by 3 points difference (and a nice goal difference too :o)
At least I'm now free for the league :(
Oh my goodness, he did it again!!

2 goals and 2 assists... :D
I faced similar situation before. We may even not know when the cup /CL match will play before drawing. However, in case start time of the 2nd match is close to finish time of first match, it may be lucky to have a player suspended and replaced with a player with better condition. Now I will make sure related backup player will be fit if I expect a starting player has large chance for suspension.
End of week 3, and the Palace Casuals status report...
League: Since losing the 1st place spot at the end of last week, the objective has been to keep up with the new leader and keep a larger goal difference. Apart from a 0-0 draw on the road, that has been achieved. 5 points down, but a 6 goal advantage on goal difference, Casuals are in great shape to take advantage of any slip ups that Dimitris happen to have (and we are praying for the Troll Fairy to visit him... :) ). Penultimate match of the season is at home vs No.1, so that could have a great bearing on the destination of the Championship trophy.
Attachment 45607
Champions League: Through to the Semi-Finals, and the next opponent is someone familiar (see No.9 in table above...). They have augmented their squad recently and we will need to pull something out of the hat to make up for the 0-0 draw referred to above.
Attachment 45608
Cup: Again through to the Semi-Finals after adding two more Level 22 scalps to the honour roll. Now the last Level 21 team left in the competition, meeting a Level 22 team in the Semi, and destined to meet a far-East Level 22 team in the final should we get there, at their match time... :(
Attachment 45609
Playing staff: Comparing the current list with the previous week, there have been a few changes, some peripheral/poorly performing players have left and a couple of new faces brought in. Andreas Graf has now had his last chance to improve and is on the transfer list, and his replacement already identified and purchased.
Attachment 45610
With all the goal scoring recently, the players with the biggest progression in that area are Catalin Neagu, Omar Hansen and Johan Shaqiri. Neagu and Hansen appear in the league top scorers, and Neagu is still in the top passers and top rated chart, although Hansen cannot be far off appearing in the latter after his recent double 9/10 rating plus MoM performances.

AEPRE FC cruises to CL semis - a 5-0 aggregate win aganist FC Limon. In league, we beats Yusuf FC 3-2, while our rival Joseph FC defeated 3-0 away to FC Lepi - the gap is now increased to 9 points.
@ reddeviljohn
hey, rd John, did you pass many rounds with 1 goal difference or it's my idea ? :p
hey Gabez, I also have 1-2 troll results during a season but I used the idea and I 'm taking it as a "good luck" wish .Quote:
I dont even dare good result against my CL oppo at tonight after these happenings
If it 's (usually) happening in league, that means it 'll not repeated in CH.L. or Cup
@talisman
hey mate, what kind of player is that :eek:Quote:
2 goals and 2 assists...
Is he a triple role scout/list player ?
Do you use him also as defender or ML ? Is he good in all positions ?
At the beginning of the season I saw two triple role, quality 128 wingers in my Scout list and had two long-term, well-served but then low star wingers to replace. Seemed too good a chance to miss, despite the tokens needed. Hansen plays equally well in DML/ML/AML; Shaqiri (his opposite), plays well in MR/AMR but not so well in DMR, despite being a left-footer. I mainly use them in M or AM, but have been known to use them in DM when a defence-heavy away formation is needed. The number of goals they have between them from Hansen assisting Shaqiri or vice versa has made the season, plus Hansen's strike rate from free-kicks is great, as well. Hansen has just gone 7* and Shaqiri will do so in a couple of good matches...
What a crazy result for us... https://scontent-fra3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...11&oe=55C8EFFF
Well the season so far has gone surprisingly well. After being knocked out of cup in the first round, I was able to do well in league and CL. On paper, I am at least 2.0 better than any other team in my league, and I thought it would be a boring season. Far to the contrary though, I have gotten three very surprising draws at weaker opposition (and one valid one where the opponent was simply good). For a week I sat second, until first place surprisingly lost to fifth. Since then I've been one point ahead with both of us winning 9 games in a row - until today that is. I just beat second place 3-0 away to cement a 4 point lead which will probably allow me to take the league title. In CL I am through to the quarterfinals but there is tough opposition unlike in the league. I won my first leg 1-0 at home against a team a level higher than me and in a few hours will play the second leg. I am confident though as the other team is very weak in attack and only strong offensively, and barely registered a shot in the first match, but anything can happen. Hope this season has gone well for other managers, it has been pleasantly exciting and competitive for me, which I prefer to just winning every match.
Also, in the league I have THREE players in the top scorers list. My amazing recently scout level right-mid Loris Montanari (who takes my freekicks) has an incredible 19 goals in 19 games. I have one player in the top assists and two in the top rated. My strikers are finally learning to work together through different rotations of the three and have warmed up (one of my players has six goals in four champions league games).

Mini update my end.
Rhondda Rovers reserves went up against KKP away in the League and managed to gain a comfortable victory 6-0. However, Nordeus clearly viewed my comments and gave Chikin a 5 day injury. Magic sponge. Now one day.

Meanwhile, the main team went up against T11 friend Meltano in the second leg of the Champions League at home. While the scoreline was a little closer, we still managed to win 3-2, meaning a 6-3 win on aggregate and passage to the semi finals.
Attachment 45635
The sending off in this game was due to spitting. Disgusting bugger.
Lastly, Rhondda Rovers are trying to get as much money as possible in preparation for next season after some unusual late transfer activity a few days ago. The target is to try and break even by the end of the season (some 4M or so out at present), so fingers crossed.

One of the finest stoppers ever played for Celtic 1888, Jamie McShane left the club today looking for new challenge... He was playing very good as 2-star player, but was struggling as 1-star... He never got rating 5 and in first 4 seasons (103 games) he only got rating 6 seven times (13 times in total)...

Champions: Won 6:1 (9:1 agg) to advance to Semi-Finals.
League: Won 2:1 against 3rd. 2nd fell against 4th and we're now 13 points clear atop the league. Its been a long time since we've led by this much at this stage of the season. 5th place supported us today, although it may be one a support of "We're coming for you in the Champions League and want you to know it," as they present our next obstacle in the CL. One thing is for sure, they'll prove a far stiffer challenge than our Round of 16 and QTR-finals opposition (7:0) (9:1).
I apologize for the photo not loading. Technology hasn't been my friend today!!!
IDK if I was lucky or unlucky. Thankfully I scraped through to the Champions League semis 2-2 on aggregate (won on away goals). I faced a weaker team that was one level above me. After dominating the first leg but only winning 1-0 at Spartan Bridge, I was a bit worried but thought that it would probably be a draw, since he only had 38 possession in the first game. Well, the possession didn't change much, but the result did. Despite the stats looking more or less even, or a bit in favor of him, he absolutely DOMINATED me with me and a friend attending and him not. I'm not going to complain much, since in the end I got through on away goals, but this worries me for the rest of the competition as although I am the strongest team left but there are teams stronger than this one. Here are pictures of the match. BTW I made two subs in the last ten minutes but they didn't process.
CL update:
I barely peeked at my game but i survived without loss(es) and injury(ies)!!! decent 1-0 win at away... ooh my sweet rocketshooter (SS with 51 shooting)AMC did his job from 30 meters, yeepiyay!
go for finals 1st phase tomorrow away against a solid german guy with 3-5-2 tactics :o
edit: ooh and my 1st level res. team performed very well with a "hedgehog" tactic!!! settings in 2nd post
Micro update: CL secured and United had another cruise victory, now it is only the colour of the metal to be decided

Attachment 45698
For the price of ONE Token
making it the sixth SA signing for one token each, Guess I am ready for negotiations next season
Lol, yeah, you got me. >.< Been having problems with Striker form last few games :(
CL yesterday: Buffs FC win 2-0 to progress 5-0 on aggregate. Striker Harper grabs one but is still missing too many. :(
Cup: Buffs are held to a 1-1 away draw. The emergence of Harper in the second half sees more chances created - but more wasted. :(
League: Jack 'Yo-yo' Harper has an ON Day with 2 goals and an assist. He needs to just keep plugging away - no time to mess about. Thats 39 goals and 19 assists this season and he tops all the league charts (tied with MC Morrison for Assists)..
The Leader loses so Buffs are now back in 3rd - a point behind 2nd and 3 behind the leader.
Tomorrow we play 6th who has overtaken the Buffs as the Draw King in the 2nd half of the Season. *gulp*
Have Palace Casuals done enough to get into the Cup Final???
Attachment 45717
Shaqiri - 1 goal, two assists - MoM surely?
Attachment 45718
No!! At least a player from my side got it...
Looks like the home keeper needs a rest...
Daily report:
Cup went well. Home win against a barely weaker team from my level. 3-1
League: Went really well, Home against 3rd (now 4th) guy 5-0.
And an usual injury in trainings  (5 days -> put back his head, NEXT  )
talisman: oooh you have a Salami!! good! :D i like it very much, especially our hungarian Pick Salamis
Hmmm.....might try that little tactic in a few seasons time.
Anyhow, tiny update my end.
Rhondda Rovers went up against Kaya FC, who have been the closest team to cost me points this season (1-0 away win earlier in the season). However, this was not going to happen a second time as we blew them away with ease.
Attachment 45720
On a tiny note, I feel I did a good deed by helping a weaker team (around my quality) have a better chance against a team that boasted seven 8* players in the starting eleven. They managed a credible 1-1 draw at home, though obviously it means the strong team have the slight advantage.
EDIT: I'm guessing I can hammer them down the wings, but anyone ever come up against a 5-1-1-1-2 formation (the one's being a DMC, an MC and AMC) before?
Out of the Champions League, keep going for the Cup (weird that I 'm saying that :p ).
Anyway, it was an experiment I tried this season but injuries, one after another didn't let my key players to perform as I expected.
Attachment 45722
5 years enough quitting not a single bit of value or realaity in the results ,,all they do is keep all hopes up until the season ends mm
So safety through to the CL semis. Won the home league 4-0 to make it 7-0 overall. Still on track for Blackkiwis first league trophy since season 4, I now have a 5 point buffer at the top and I've faced all the top opposition apart from 2nd. If this goes to play, along with the CL (which would be four in a row!), I'll complete my first double after 10 seasons playing T11.
Attachment 45728
Attachment 45730
This is my semi final opponent in the CL. He hasn't suffered any losses I can study to date and I've never come across this formation before.
Anyone got any ideas? It would be much appreciated :D
Couldn't watch my match today in league but we won anyway. Can't say it was an easy win, 2-0 against the 10th, but 2 new injuries for me and 3 yellow cards for him made it harder to score more.
The good news though is that the 2nd lost to the 4th, which gives me a relieving 5 points advantage over the new 2nd, whom we face in a couple of days. :o
Level 22 Team
Because of limited qualities, every league match is difficult match for this team. But its performance in this season is amazing! First league title after 10 seasons had been becoming more likely.
Attachment 45735
Level 14 Team
My team has raised to 2nd place. The points are still very close among the top 6 teams. My team has prominent advantage in goal differential and scored. These are important for league.
Generally, this team also well performed in this season. But it lost in several matches that I didn't really feel it badly performed.
Today, it will meet the rival team which got same point with my team and in 3rd place. This is the only team which is as young as and as good as my team in this league. The manager is also very active. It is a really difficult and challenging match. I am excited.
Attachment 45736
So just had the first leg of the CL semis...It was at home. It ended in a 0 - 0 draw. But it's a load of bollocks if I'm honest. I dominated him in all areas of the game and it should of been more 3-0. Oh well, my defence was amazing, they didn't threaten at all. Have to hope for a good result away now.
Attachment 45739
CL SF: Buffs FC will take a 7-1 lead going into the home match after a barnstorming performance away.
- Striker Jack Harper scored 3, provided 1 assist and rated 13; :p
- Alan Hansen ventured into nosebleed territory again for a classic T11 DMC solo goal; ;)
- Left Winger Baxter grabbed a goal and assist;
- Right Back Hutton slammed a header home from a cross; and
- Left Back Nicol did the same from a corner, in his 320th game for the Buffs.
However they'll all need to shake it off, shake it off and go again for the first of 4 difficult league matches as the Buffs travel to take on 4-season league rivals tonight.
\o/ *Buffs Spam* \o/
Restarted a team after having uninstalled the app and 81 days inactivity. Got new team at the same level I left it, Manager Level 9 and Season progressed to 15, League Level 7. All players only have this season's stats.
More importantly it looks like its successfully jumped server ;)
Gave me extra Tokens, packs and cash for returning as well as boosting a player to 6*. So team has 76T now.
http://i59.tinypic.com/9i8son.jpg
PS. Not sure if its coincidence but the boosted player has almost the same name as me >.<
I think the player part you mentioned is part of the package as I had something similar when I thought my old Rhondda Rovers team were gone.
Anyhow, I wouldn't normally do this until all games are played for the day, but this match is an exception due to what I feel is sheer stupidity by their manager.
Rhondda Rovers main team played FC Leod away in the Champions League expecting a tense match due to their strange formation and five man defence. I played with a 4-1-4-1 formation and kept the same tactics as normal to see how we went.
And so it began. On the 9th minute, Voulgaris had a punt at goal, which took a deflection and went in.
1-0 Rhondda Rovers.
In the 13th minute, Chrapek got himself booked and was thinking about subbing him. However, I thought I'd wait until the end of the first half before doing that. In the 41st minute, Chrapek committed a foul and got a verbal warning from the ref...............before being a gobby sod, getting a second yellow and being sent off.
Half time. 1-0 to Rhondda Rovers, but down to 10 men. I tweaked the tactics slightly to move Sevilla more into the centre and focus attacking down the flanks (as they were far too central and had no width).
Second half begins and and the they started to push a bit more for the equaliser. However, after a few minutes, the opposite manager did what can only be considered an extremely stupid move to try and get the equaliser:
Attachment 45755
Attachment 45756
Not only did they leave themselves wide open, but they gave me extra possession due to the goalkeeper being out of position.
67th minute, Jordan has a shot and scores. 2-0 to Rhondda Rovers.
73rd minute, Sevilla has a shot and scored. 3-0 to Rhondda Rovers.
The opposition manager immediately reverted back to their original formation once realising the cock up that was made and managed to get one back in the 86th minute to make the final score 3-1 to Rhondda Rovers.
Attachment 45757
I also got an achievement to boot as well:
Attachment 45758
If they had kept the formation they were using and not go all balls out with out of position players, this tie could have been a lot closer. However, they may have just eliminated themselves from the Champions League. The manager is not new either as they were originally level 12.
Champions: Disappointing day, but it wasn't a disaster, as we picked a 1:1 away draw on the 1st leg. Team picked that draw in spite of its manager who forgot to check ST Ogunyode's morale before inserting him into the starting lineup and forgot to take him off free kick duties (left side) in favor of my other, far better striker.
Formations were 4-3n-1-2 for me and 3w-5(AML-MC-MC-MC-MR)-2 for opponent. Must say, i'm a tad shocked we only managed 3 shots on goal with 2ST + AMC against lone DC and no DMC. Game was 1:0 to me, when I changed from normal, to attacking late to try and pick up an additional critical away goal. Not sure if it was smart with a lead to play attacking, but opponent also was undermanned at that location.
No injuries for either side. Not really a surprise he didn't get one; none of my opponents have in 25 straight matches (wish the streak was mine not dropping like that). Injury volume is still quadruple that of the opposition (8:2).
League: We're facing last, whom gives up double-digits goals in the vast majority of their matches. Not to concerned here!
Nope, it's not a coincidence, when I started playing again late last season I got the same package (on both of my teams) and both 6* players had same last name as my account. Nice way to say welcome back! :o
*League update : Dominated my opponent today as I won 8-1, my sub ST, De la Rosa, clearly stated he does not want to be and should not be a sub. With 5 goals out of 8, 3 of which he scored without being assisted and a total rating of 9 sure got him a well earned MotM. My other ST wasn't any worse as he made 2 assists (both were scored later by De la Rosa) and scored a goal getting a rating of 9 as well. Not to forget my MR, Marko, who scored a goal and made 2 assists. Last but not least, my MC, Gabric, made an assist and scored a goal.
*chie FC failed to keep his place as 2nd when he lost to the 4th, giving FC-APK his spot back as 2nd, and giving me 6 points lead.:o
Here's the Squad with 6* in it. The 6* boost is already mentioned in the Welcome Back package screen.
http://i59.tinypic.com/2mqnk2x.jpg
Here's the Player with similar name - Initial and Last Name is the same.
@Ayman ty for confirming ;)
http://i59.tinypic.com/2rm1cwo.jpg
Since I just remembered previously that I had taken a guess that these new teams were the source of low wage players I can confirm that, at least on this team, none of them have wages between 1 and 10k.
But, although its a long way to do it, it was nice to see that the invite/gift worked to get it on a server of choice.
Since the team is sitting 3rd with the only human players above (2) I'll give it one game to see if I can win it, if not I'll tank it and decide what I'm doing next Season. Only 15pts between 1st and last.:p
