As we know the ratings system changed and now, finally, I am happy with it :)

They did simply a change, now to have a player in the Top Rated players these have to play at least the 60% of matches of the league season, so now a player that play 1 match and have a 9, can not be 1st like before.

That really help a lot because as we can see the players are really "sublime", what I call Key players that can do the work to win 70% of a title.

In Port Vale acount 4 ST's and the GK of the team in 11th position, 61 goals recived ...LOL age 29, 3* GK of a team that is not managed, have SA individual defender or how is called lol... only another 29age player then all 12 retired...

So I understand that what fail are the wrong positions, and the rating as I've said have not lot of sense n this case,,, because too as I usually say, ratings are more about what can do a player in long term, not in a match. So the top rated players are sublime players that despite illegal formations, bad players near etc. will do a big contribution because are well proggrammed.

Option 2 is, this GK as my Djibril Cissé ST that had 8-8-8-7-8 and scored 3 goals in 26 matches show that ratings don't have sense and relation between how work the player/valoration.... ¿?

I want to belive that ratings talk us about long term usual contribution.

Honestly, the top 5 ranking is useless to me. Just to look good, nothing more, no rewards.

Meh... as if I care. I hardly check it. I don't even know one of my players was on the top. Again, I don't care. Pointless features.

Is not like my players will get 10 free skill points by the end of the season or anything for being MVP or Top Goal Scorers or Most Assists or Most Clean Sheets (missing from the ranking).

As I understand the player rating is generated though visible, hidden and random factors. The odds of succeeding every action depend on it.

So, if your player have good form he is more likely succeed in goals, saving, tackling etc, but luck can work around this, so sometimes a bad rated player scored a deciding goal because of a lucky dice roll despite the odds are against it. It's rare however and player performance is usually reflected by the rating he received.

The most important aspect you must consider when looking at ratings is.....you do not have access to all the factoirs that generated the ratings. Commentary is a merely a small highlights package. Imo there is nothing wrong with GK or DMC ratings - or MCs for that matter. :p

But back on topic, the blocking of 1 and 2 game wonders from the rankings is a good positive move.

I still maintain the 60% is too high - a few leagues irl award league medals to players who participate in around 25% of matches (although I think the megabucks EPL lowered it recently). But I'd rather have the current T11 system than the old one.

I just hope that the fact they have looked at this is a sign that they want it to be relevant because they are going to include real rewards - after all we did say previously there would be no point including rewards when MVP could be exploited.

PS. the topic title is a little misleading ;)

Just checked my current league board 1ST 3DC and 1AMR

Only the 4* AMR belongs to my team, who scored 14 goals 10 assists and 5 MOM in 15 games.

Edit: I'm currently leading 7 points in the league with a record of 14-0-1 while the 3 teams under have average quality 2 points higher than myself.

My mains rankings has:

1. 11th's DC/DMC 2. 4th's (me) ST 3. 12th's DC/DMC 4. 2nd's MC 5. 9th's DC/DMC
This is a competitive league, low GDs with many draws ;)

On my alt account its:

1. 1st's (me) ST 2. 6th's ST 3. 2nd's ST 4. 1st's (me) ST 5. 7th's GK
This league is between 3 teams with +50 GDs

You must always remember these are player ratings and do not necessarily reflect team performance.

But question remains!

What is a ranking good for, if there is no prize?

Well, ratings range from 3-6 afaik - 6-7 to me is turned up and did nothing wrong/nor much right or a balanced performance. Lets not assume that clean sheets are down to GKs - particularly if your DCs or DMCs are getting high raings.

My GK this season has 8x6, 3x8 and the rest 7s and in the league and Cup the team has conceded in almost every game. (I could show you GKs with 7, & 9s ;) ) The fact is the only feedback you get on a GK is he made X number of saves - goals conceded might be relevant but only if its the GK's fault/he should have saved. Commentary gives, occasionally, feedback on smothers or interceptions, catches but they're not in the stats.

Saves are good? Well easy catches flapped out for CKs are bad imo.

My buzzwords for GKs are Opportunity and Expectation. The number of chances he has to do something and the expectation of success - we just don't have the information. The answer is in what we're not told, thats why I suggested the following, more in hope than expectation.

In Spain to try to fight for the best GK's trophy (Trofeo Zamora) a GK have to play 28 of the 38 League matches.

That's the 73,68% of the season and I think that 60% of the season in this case mean a good % ...

The good thing is that can help us to see good players that are not ST's and so, in a not very good teams.
I too miss a section of individual awards... :'(

But if I am the boss of Nordeus one day I will create a world competition as Ive suggested and everybody don't will miss these stuffs LOL

yeah, it's hard to find a place in the world of t11, players like Neuer, Mascherano or Iniesta.
There is a work to do about the rates, specially in those positions (commentary, different statistics board for Def. & GK).

Yeah, we could argue that some of the 'strange' lowbie players in crap teams getting high ratings demonstrates how ratings work. Ratings reflect personal performances - a GK in a crap team will get more opportunity to prove his ability and for example a good gk in a crap team suffering heavy defeats can get high ratings. Similarly a crap GK in a crap team will be cruelly exposed.

GoodGK quote "I might have lost 7 goals but none of them were my fault and it would've be 12 if not for me."
BadGK quote "I might be crap but nobody would notice if I was playing behind a much better defence/team."

The best thing about the new rankings criteria is it will expose the ones getting the better ratings consistently - giving you more ammunition to say "Ah, now I see ratings are reliable" or "this exposes how unreliable ratings are". ;)

On my alt team there are both good and bad rating GKs in the bottom 6 teams including true GKs and those STs etc masquerading. ;)

Yes, you 'right , and the problem isn't the top rated list.
The main issue is, that you (me-anyone ) cannot count on the rates/statistics of a player he wants to buy from the TM if he doesn't have the whole picture, meaning info of the team that sells this player.
It's so unrealistic to real football :p
like an agent goes to a team manager, show him a tape with a player he wants to sell, but doesn't tell him from which club is the player :rolleyes:

The best you can say is that good ratings means they are capable of getting them, bad ratings means thats also possible. Average ratings are the hardest to get your head around.

Problem is even if you know what team they're from you still dont't know why he got the ratings he did.

Just believe the ratings and risk a mistake - its the easiest way.

The others all are on competitive teams, playing in right spot.

That is great for me. I understand it is just visual at this point but I am big on immersion so for me it is very important that things like MVP are a legit representation of a players full season.

I keep track of all stats including the awards every season.

As another poster pointed out it could be the first step to making real rewards for them since it is now a legitimate accomplishment. I had 4/5 in the final MVP last season and currently 3/5 although it is fluid obviously. Nobody currently over 8 in league play this season but that is because my team hit a mini slump the past few days taking it's first 2 losses of the season.

Sadly I lost in the cup 1/4 finals. I couldn't get that damn road goal in the first leg losing 3-0 (first team to even score 2 all season). Then in the 2nd leg they got a road goal in 1st min off of yellow card. I won 3-1 but that damn road goal :(

It was a good run all around and I still expect to win 2 trophies again. I went from playoff round last season to 1/4 finals this time so I am getting closer every season to regaining cup crown.



I hope they fix the ratings for GK, and CM/CDM. I do not get why the other poster said there is nothing wrong with them. Having your keeper get a 6 with a clean sheet and 5 saves while your opp gets an 8 with 6 goals conceded and 1 save is insane.

This is certainly a good change. But personally I prefer the 60% line can be slightly lowered.

For my 2 teams, at this point, there are only 6 (4 signed in this season) & 7 (4 signed in this season) players eligible for ranking. Number of players participated 1 or 2 matches less were approximately the same. I like rotating my players. But the instances of squad rotation have already greatly lowered in this season because both my teams need not participate CL in this season.

As there is no transfer season restriction in T11, player turnover is expected to be more than real world. If 60% line is based on real world league, it may not be the best for T11.

Anyway, I still like this change.

I'm proud to see that Cocu, my 1st 9* player, in his last season is the top rated player with a 8,08 and after be the MoM in the CL final and scoree the 1st goal to give us the victory.

I usually rotates my players to handle 2 matches per day. So I don't express my players get player awards. However, in last season, my level 24 team was eliminated early in both CL & Cup. Then I almost fixed my starters in second half of the season. Finally, my team became league champion and my players got all 3 player awards.

To my teams, the 60% requirement is quite high. For managers who like to change the whole team during a season, their players are also difficult to get these awards.

SPFL Rules:

The Company shall present to the Champion Club of the League 25 League Championship Medals for Players, other staff and Officials. Additional League Championship Medals may be purchased from the Company with the prior consent of the Board. Only those Players who participated in 25% or more of the League Matches for the Champion Club in the relevant Season will be eligible to receive such medals

PS. I'm not suggesting 25% is suitable for the game given squad size limits but I am suggesting, again, that 60% is too high. ;) (But ofc this will never be a problem for my small squad ;) )
