You lost because they scored more away goals than you.

as above and at least you got too 1/4 final i keep getting 6/7 star teams in prelims and i`m only a 5 star team, thought we ( yes you Nordeus ) were suppose to meet same quality teams in the Cup so why do i get teams that are 5+ quality better off than myself ???

The first tie-breaker when the number of goals scored is the same is then Away Goals. You scored 1 away goal in Match 1 they scored 2 in Match 2. They win. If it was 2-1 & 1-2 it would've went to Extra Time.

I think it was proven by someone that cup takes held points into account. I forget who posted it though.
