Try him in different places (if an DC or DC/Dx); give him 2-4 days rest - he may improve then. If not, transfer market...

Sometimes it depends if you are thrashing opponents 10-0, then your defense has nothing to do and can get a poor rating, just like a gk with nothing to do. But if you are letting goals in, then put him on the bench for a while and see if he improves after that or just sell.

Is he a new player and started this way ?
Set him in a different position in defense - DR/DL/DC
If he doesn't perform, sell him - bad program or bad chemistry

Oké, I wil try him as DC tonight and give him some rest after that.

I have several times experienced that the end season (maintenance) has change players performance. If he is young/fasttrainer I would give him to the start of next season, because its very close now to.

yes, in case thats ok, it's good to give another chance (as if he is a scout/list player and I gave 50T for him ).
but it's so easy to find a Def. who's performing good ...

I gave him rest for two matches (condition 100%).
Now he play better. Three times a 7 in a row.
