all was going well
till i checked my team and each player went down a star
why is that?

When you promote the number represented by the stars changes to a higher number reflecting that the level is more difficult.

Basically, when you level up your guys aren't as strong in relation to the average for that level.

Q: I have been promoted to the next level and all my players lost one star! What happened?
A: Their quality is still the same, but your team is playing on the higher level and your player’s quality is now equvalent to lower number of stars, because League requirements are higher.

Yes. Be careful. I am looking at the transfer market right now and it is flooded with expensive youngsters. Many people are already bidding for them, including some Level 1 managers. It may cost a few tokens to get them!
