Season 67 - Week 4

Rocket Hotspur are starting to move up the table after 2 wins in a row, this time a hard fought 2-0 win. We dominated, again, for the whole match, but couldn't break down a resolute defence. After yet another injury early on to one of our DMC, we brought on star player Kuong Seung in AMC, changed from 3W-2-1-2W-2, to a 3W-1-3-1-2, but it didn't make much difference. We still couldn't break down the defence so sacrificed all control in the middle of the pitch and switched it again to hard attacking formation, 3W-1-3W(all attacking mids)-2. It worked and our man Gozalbo came up with the goods again scoring from a towering header from a corner kick. It was 2-0 soon after as AMC Adam was played through and chipped it over the on rushing goalkeeper.

It's in to the cup, and I don't know how I'm going to beat this guy, he's 1* and1 level above, unbeaten this season. His bench is weak thigh so if he picks up some injuries I might have a chance. But I'm not holding out hope. We'll just go out and play our normal game, no point in defending because we will have to score at least once anyway.

Also picked up an achievement yesterday, although I'm not sure it should be called that.....

thanks to my RL lucky charm she (black based cat with some white mixture) was lying/napping on my computer case as she is usual doing when im playing with TE/Diablo etc.

League: The Buffs travel to the Leader *Boom* 4-0 win. MC Henderson scores another 2 but picks up a booking near the end for an 8; ST Harper snatches the Bubbly with a 9 for his 3 assists despite a bagel in the goals scored dept.

I like wins. Wins are good

But in all seriousness, just had the away leg for the cup. Only facing a guy 1 level above me, so that was nice for a change. He had some stupid formation 4-1-3-1-1 all in the middle, apart from a DR. So I duly changed to 4-5V-1 attacking the left flank...Was a bit frustrating but still came away with a 3-0 victory. I love how the 3 goals were all by my AML. Guess the tactic worked




Goals have been very hard to come by this season, I think that's the most goals in 1 game for me so far. The Defence has been carrying, 7 MoM amongst my 3 main defenders.

Had another tough working over against 6th place. He got the early goal against the run of play, and with 30 mins to go it looked like Blackkiwi could suffer their first defeat in the league this season. And then something terrible happened. My internet crash, and I lost the ability to watch it! Freaking out, I quickly try log back on, but when I finally manage to get back, the game had finished....final score? 2-1 to me
I might try 'crash' my internet more often...



As you can see, only 10 goals in 6 league games. I feel I really need to step this up. Any advice?
Good news is that I've played and defeat 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 9th.
