The short answer is because he is only a three star player, which is a 5* in the level you mention ;)
So no hocus pokus there

I think Steppenwolf is right, when you favorite someone who doesn't get sold when he winds up on TL again he's on your short list; and this guy must have got lucky and been online to see him turn into a FA.

So it is entirely possible that that is what happened here, just the manager released him.
Yes but when you release him he is just another player, other settings for him, he should not even but able to see the player.

Probably is a bug.
When I started to play this game four months ago, I bid two scout players for my level (one in my case) in my first season in transfer market (later I won League and Cup :cool:).
