Are Scout Players worth the Tokens and money? General Token spending chat

I'm having a good season - sitting in second, chance of going top today.

Half of my starting team are 5* 5 are 4* and one from the beginning who is a 3* and as I like my team at the moment and don't have so much cash to buy I am actually beginning to get a nice number of Stars..

My first 2 youth players came in and sold my 2* for £750K which was a tidy 400k over value.

Now my 4* 18year old would have cost 18stars but no money!

I look at the scouts and it's a hell of a lot of stars for a player who is basically only one star above my average.

For me, scout players just don't seem worth it and youth player is worth the investment in a larger amount of tokens.

Anyways... happy at the moment... picked up a few great 5* players and after getting smashed in the Auction a few times really got lucky last week and my gut feeling is to just save up the tokens and use them for season 5 with winnings and money saved from the rest of the season! (although this is boring and i like buying new players)

Looking for some experienced token expenditure advise here

    Thanks

Welll.. I have bought a few Scouts, and its about half that were worth. The Youth on the other hand I have decent success with, but it depends; on my server and level it is hard to buy youngsters on the TL, so it is worth it to me.. but if you can get an eighteen year old for a few T off the TL that's a better deal.

HELL NO ON SCOUT`S, unless they ( nordeus ) change it

1- they trained slower than dead donkey with half a leg

2 - for the tokens they want, they need too bring age down too 19 minimum

edit; here is i see scout`s from fastest to slowest

    1- dead donkey with half a leg, 2- slug, 3- snail, 4- scout`s

No way, and with the new pricing 69T for a decent player is otter absurd (crazy expensive)

Buy an young fasttrainer and use the tokens on greenpacks/powertraining

So in a nutshell... stay away from Scouts. Save money and spend T's on good 18/19yo from Auction which actually there's some every now and again on my server!
Now I can easily afford an academy player, looking forward to signing up!
With Academy do you tend to start as soon as possible or train as hard as possible? What's the quickest way to train?
I train hard and play hard but seems that the players levels are actually going up slower and slower... or is this normal with going up leagues but it seems to take longer now getting to 5's or 0's than my previous 3 seasons.

I've had a lot of success using Scouts. 13 League titles in fact. It's not necessarily about finding the most expensive or youngest ones, but the right ones. Maybe I've been lucky but I buy at least 2 per season, usually defenders or midfielders and they seldom get less than 7-8 ratings in games.

In my opinion the best value/money investment is 5* veteran player, if you are 35T (or some few more) player.
The problem is that you must refresh your team because those players last for 2, max 3 seasons.
So you must involve in many auctions.
The best investment if you have extra T, is scout/list player . The problem is that very few of the list are worthy (2-3 of 30 players)
Also you have a possibility (50/50 ?) that your player will perform bad.
The best investment if you have sources (greens & reds) is nordgens. The young expensive fast trainers.
The problem is that they are rare.
Academy players is the worst investment of all, but maybe try some time for fan.
