Transfers with other Managers

Hey could someone please explain me how Transfers from other managers work?
I know how they are done, but some of my friends meant they need to be on the same server as me? What does that mean?
Please help me

Like said yes. You can only make bids if the green 'make offer' box is there

You can only buy and sell players within your market. Your Market is Your Server.

The simple initial method used in custom leagues to check that 'friends' made it onto the same server is - if you can see your friends matches in the Friends Fixtures list then they are on your server.
