Just came to realise how good this free agents can get after reading some posts on this forum.

I've not seen one come up in the transfer window. Do I need to be at a higher level? Currently 5

reading and having ideas from the forum is the best thing.
When I started, in lv1, I didn't knew what's this thing with free agents, how is working. I started buying them from lv2, when I joined the forum :)

When i was in the first levels I didn't want to waste tokens for them. Now, I check the market and when I find one that I like, I spend a token or two to buy him. Of course I choose the attractive ones ( not older than 24-25y, with an SA maybe, double position etc ) I usually sell them immediately or I train them a bit to raise their price. I don't even care if it is the end of the season because if they stay for the next season I only have less profit, i don't lose money.

You're the first player that has ever done this and your input is appreciated.

Yeah for sure watch the age of them, since Free Agents are players that have been sacked from actual teams, and not generated.
MC's are iffy on being able to resell on. Me, I only buy an FA if I am willing to have him on my bench, since sometimes it can take awhile at my level on my server to sell players. On my 35T team I have had good luck in lower levels with getting a couple youths, I kept them rather than sell.

I read that topic and thats what convinced me to start looking for free agents.

There are many old topics with useful advices.
I joined this forum at (my) lv2. After reading (and asking) almost all the previous posts of the forum, at lv5 I had 90% of the knowledge I have today, at lv14.
Unfortunately most of the new members of the forum don't read the old posts, just check posts of previous 2-3 pages and just making new posts/questions about their case.
* Although, I can see some new members who are active, reading and they improved a lot their knowledge.

yeah my snarkiness was directed at OP not blok, but it wasn't necessary, anyone reading the first post could tell they were having a congratulatory toss-off.

I dont understand what you are on about and lets please not go down that childish route of making the forum hell for everybody.

I started this topic so we can show how much we profit from free transfers and not necessarily similar to the other topics. Even if it was similar its the moderators job to close this one or merge it with any previous threads. Even then it will be not in the best interest of the forum for new topics to be closed and members directed to old threads that have died.

Top eleven keeps changing and information in old threads might not be the latest and i have expirienced that myself. The forum search functionality isnt top notch as well so hard to find some topics.

Im rumbling now so i will stop at that.

I don't want anymore competition on free agents than I already have and all this thread does is draw attention to it.

Intelligent or not you should find a way to beat the competition rather than trying to kill discussion in the forum. Problem with expirienced players is you have that done and seen everything mentality and are dont look at things from a newbie perspective.

I dont wanna take offence but i find all this unnecessary and avoidable. All it takes is to restrain yourself. Try.

So you are just being selfish? :)

Please stay on topic, if it is something you already knew, fine; contribute to the discussion or don't post in the thread - but maybe others didn't know about FA's especially people just starting to play.

I suppose bumping it by responding is counter-productive lol. I'm not even lvl 10 and never won a cup or cl, hardly experienced, but thanks. I applaud your manager savvy in securing profit. I'd like to see you top 250 million total value (35M bought)in 8 seasons like i have. I'd hit the like button for that thread.

Hey Sparkling, it took me 14 seasons to see the profit of this and only after a hint by Gert Funk. I just started a lvl 1 team and I have been hoarding free agents. I am 35 token player but I used my 10 free tokens for the best from 2 days ago. I got at least 10 players for 25k only and was able to resell them for something like 400k till 900 k. My team is worth 16 million right now (started at day 14 of the season) and I have 5 mil in the bank and I have about 8 more free agents to sell :) My best one was a quality 14 player of 960k.

Well I would like to say thank you for talking about it anyway! I am level one and been playing for 2 weeks - why do I see no free agents?

They've been removed. Now out of contract players/ young nordgen free agents dont get released to the market. You only see 30+age ones that are ****. Sry, you'll have to buy/win/transfer market your cash stash.

Appreciate that you read the old discussion post. But I am afraid that that the situation is different now.

In the past, any unused players who cannot be sold through market should be sacked. Managers will get no cash through this but have to pay the remaining wages according to the contract.

Several seasons ago, "sell now" option was implemented to replace "sack". Managers can get part of the market values of the players through this. Players who was sold may no longer appear as free agents.

BTW, in my experience, old free agent players are usually not bad signing if their qualities are not far from your team average. Many of them perform very consistently. They are decent options if your team lack cash but want more players.

Nordeus was trying to help managers who couldn't sell their players (specially in higher levels) but with the new app "sell now", destroyed this part of the game which was very interesting.
I think they can bring it back. The player, instead of disappear in an imaginary/bot team, to go back in the market as a free agent.
This is also a good bonus for the active and loyal managers of the game.
If we keep posting this in Suggestions section of the forum every while, maybe they 'll think about to do it.

And we need already trained and specialised players. I mean, we need more skill difference on young and even more older players. It is really hard to change something when you buy for example DC who has 27 years and his attack, physical and defensive skills are equall. Also we lose such players if someone sacks them and then they "sign" for bot team.
Instead, one sacked player should appear on auctions few times every day (for example every 6 hours) until gets signed by some team. Also, there should be possibility to sign 4 and 5* free agents, but with some limits. For example, every team could sign 2x 5* free agents per season and 4x 4* free agents.

At big levels is way harder to get Free Agents, I have one at 2,3 seasons :rolleyes: Yes, that's the best way to get money by buying free agents and resell them.

this was from the period before the "sell now" app.
Now it's the same. I have a team lv3 and I found only 1 fa from lv1.

I took a look on some low level acc. and I saw from time to time but not as before but comparing with high level the difference is quite big. At least on my server.

My best experience with free agent was back to one of previous several seasons when I got a ML/AML with dribbler SA, and he was an extremely fast trainer. I got this guy and power trained him and gave him MC role; used him for several seasons. He could always score amazing goals per the comments, but unfortunately he was not a match decider so eventually I sold him.

Another funny experience was a ST wth one on one SA; I got him and sold him on market, I watched the auction on him and the auction went for 50 plus rounds :-), that made my day that day.

Only old farts as free agents at me, and I don't bellieve that the ones sold to agents ever show up again, they are just disintegrated :rolleyes:

the free agent i saw are all 30+ year old and 3 star players-.- that is all the free agent i saw so far

The only free agent I ever found who wasn't to retire was in Level 2 I guess... Lost the auction. Who do you guys get so many?
BTW some retiring FAs aren't total junk... A good example would be last season's AML and shadow striker Marcío Franco, who retired with 20 goals in 17 games, and a record-breaking 6 goals in a game.

I see the occasional FA in both my teams' TM - where they come from I don't know, there should be no FA's about since the change to selling unwanted/unsellable players to agent rather than sacking them.
