    I have both PS (old version that is legally mine, a perk from old job) and gimp. but the tutorial is because everyone with windows has paint.

    When i was a techie/support guy i was installing a lot of GUI based (and user friendly like Ubuntu) linuxes to my friends who raised on Windows and they was like "Click next/next okay 1 bit users"

    of course most of linux users managing their OS more professionally than fellow Win users...

    Those are standard instructions but I personally prefer launching the default app called Grab for a point and click interface.
