Thats the plan ultimately, With Papaleo starting to age now, It best to train up younger players using less greens than using them on the likes of Papaleo who is only going to get slower training every season now. I would say Papaleo will still be a important player for 2-3 more seasons then time catches up and will drop to a sub/reserve and may eventually possibly be sold, but when that happens... I have a cunning plan.
In less then 1h we will play our first game from second round (cup), we are playing home so we want a victory with 2,3 goals (even if it won't be possible).
Isn't he a level higher than you, theres a good DL/DML on my scout list but he is just a touch on the old side, 24 years but you would still get the 4 seasons out him easy because hes got good stats. I don't need to buy him, I got Ramirez.

The highest quality scout on my list ends in a 3... So bad lol
FCP just ended it's second league game against the weakest team in the league.
Our subs managed to get a 0 - 2 victory.
Main players got some rest for the upcoming cup game. Fingers corssed for a nice away victory.
ML/DML present.

Wondering for a formation for my cup game in 20 minutes.
Suggestions are welcome. Got possible formations in mind but like to hear other peoples thoughts.

does this formation work against 4-4-2 (classic)?? i am forced to use it 'cose i have a lot of injured players...
Well our cup game has been played on the field of Commando. We lost the first round 3 - 2.
As we still have to play our home game this isn't such a bad situation.
Commando opened the score in minute 2 allready. In minute 32 Pepp scored a nice goal running through the defence.
Just before half time Commando made the score 2 - 1. But in the 70th minute Pepp scored our second goal. It was looking to be a draw but in the 81th minute Commande set the score to 3 - 2.
With a 50-50 ball possesion we didn't create as much chances as Commando. They got 18 shot off target to our 12 and 9 shots on target to our 5.
For the next round we will have to see if he changes his formation. Every cup game so far he has played a different formation.
Lets push it to the max to kick him out of the cup.
Battle Royale Cup Qualifying Round 1st Leg: Harrogate Town 2-1 Blue Army
(Lvl3 Q33.0) (Lvl5 Q29.2)
Goals: Musa (21'), Uzumaki (56'), Norris (61')
Harrogate Town Edge 1st leg in Battle Royale Cup.
Tonights Cup match saw Harrogate Town welcome the Higher leveled Blue Army to the CNG Stadium for this 1st leg of the cup. We saw a well fought game. It started of with the home team being kept on the back foot as Blue Army kept pushing hard. In the 6th minute Blue Army had Shaqiri booked for a foul on Blackstone in midfield. The breakthrough came on 21' when Musa latched on to a cross from hauser to beat De Gea. It looked like Harrogate may have a hard time in the game. In the 41st minute Hatake was booked for a foul just outside the box. Musa took it and forced a brilliant save from De Gea, who was having a great game with a few top drawer saves already.
Half-Time came and went with Winder making 2 changes to his team. Taking off Bale and Giel for Cleverley and Hirwan repectively. With a change of formation to a much narrower system now a 4-1-3N-2 instead of a 4-5-1V Harrogate started to control the game playing through the middle as ther opposition were in a 4-1-2W-1-2. This payed off as in the 56th minute Naruto Uzumaki hit a speculative fierce shot from 30 yards out that flew in to the top corner. The keeper had no chance. Then 5 minutes later Chuck Norris won the ball just inside his own half and started to run up field. he skipped past one, clever little step over and then nutmegged the defender. He took a quick look as the keeper was rushing out and with a clever little dink over the keeper it was 2-1. The crowd were going wild and singing chants about Norris. In a bad note Assoumani the battling Defender and captain was injured so on came Phil Jones for the last 10 minutes. That was it for the game.
After the game David Winder answered the question about how serious the injury to the captain was.
David Winder: Luckily for us it isn't as bad as it looked. He will be back for the next game.
Q: So how do you feel your chances are for getting through?
A: I feel we have a good chance and we will just have to be careful and not get careless. I think we may just make it through.
Q: Naruto Uzumaki is playing out of his skin lately. Whats the secret to his game?
A: I feel he is just enjoying his game and playing without a care in the world. If he keeps it up he could easily be the new star midfielder but it will be a battle with Chuck for that honour. On a side note I will be calling a press conference in about an hour with some exciting news for the fans.
Oh what could David Winder have in store for us? Will it be a new signing? Will it be some new and upcoming project? We will have to wait and see. Look forward to the press conference later.
Cup update: FC Kneipenkick 1-1 Menashe 60 (1-1 ht)
Today FCK faces an Israelian team, a massive token spender (even more than FCK ;) ). Menashe started with a 4-1-2-1-2, FCK with a 4-1-4-1. Igor Ambrosio could score the lead after only 3 minute after a nice pass by Kunz. The other manager came online late, but reacted instantly. Since his player were trained for 2 or 3 positions he could change his tactics without substitutions.
He switched to a wing based system, FCK covered the wing with blue arrows, but the match engine decided to give the away team an advantage. Menashes players used it very good and scored the 1-1 after 20 minutes. The rest of the match was a tactical battle, where Menashe's superior first 11 quality gave the away team a plus of chances. But the result stayed 1-1. So first non-win this season, but it was against a good team with a good manager. The returning leg will become difficult.
@iamdjw, Naruto is doing he's job :))

Harrogate Town Press Conference called by manager David Winder
The buzz around the room is electric. The rumours have been going round left, right and centre. The door opens and here comes David Winder. He is on his own which is a surprise as there are 2 chairs at the desk awaiting the arrival.
David Winder: Hello guys welcome to this unexpected Press Conference. I know no one would have been expecting me to announce this after our match in the Battle Royale Cup earlier. I have called this for a couple of reasons......
Don Patterson: Hi David sorry to interupt. I'm Don Patterson from The Sun. I would just like to ask if the rumour is true linking you with Barcelona Job?
David Winder: Haha I knew I would be linked with that job having been spotted in the city a couple of time since christmas. No the rumours are not true. In fact Tito will be resuming his role as manager later this month there. I would never leave this club I love Harrogate and am here till the day I die, or get fired by the chairman.
Don Patterson: Ok that clears that up but what were you doing in Barcelona then?
David Winder: We shall get to that shortly Mr Patterson. I called this conference because there have been some behind the scenes business going on. As you know we decided this season it was time for an Assitant Manager to come in and help out after last season falling just short. Well as you all know by now that person is Eric Cantona. Eric and I have been discussing where the team can improve and needs competition for places. This was my reasoning for the trips to Barcelona. We felt that David De Gea wasn't getting enough of a challenge for the starting jersey in goal. As a result we put Anders Lindergaard up for sale, who we have just finalised the deal for. He shall be dropping down a league to join f.c.b. yasser. I would just like to thank Anders for all his efforts here and I look forward seeing how he gets on there. He should be a great addition to there squad. Now I have been in Barcelona working on an amazing deal.
Ladies and Gentleman may I introduce you to our latest signing. The man that will be pushing David to his limits for that starting role in goal. Barcelona's young youth prospect Victor Valdes.
There are gasps all around the room as it was thought Valdes was about to become Barcelona No. 1. The door opens and out comes Valdes.
David Winder: I would like to welcome Victor to the club and just go on record as saying this has been a deal I have wanted to make for a couple of years. His record at youth level was amazing in 156 appearances he kept 70 clean sheets.
Victor Valdes: Thank you David I am very proud to be here and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to join such a good up and coming club.
Gil Caine: Hi there I'm Gil Caine from Sky Sports News. My question is to you David. How did you manage to persuade Barcelona to sell the keeper that had been expected to break into there 1st team?
David Winder: Well it was a tough conversation. We had a long consultation with there board and eventually had to give them 1st option if we ever sold him in the future. It cost us a couple of million to sign him aswell but we knew he wouldn't come cheap.
Don Patterson: Victor welcome to England. What made you give up the chance at Barcelona to be No. 1 and come here to fight with David De Gea for the No. 1 spot?
Victor Valdes: It was a really hard choice. I have been with Barcelona since I was 8 and I have been a fan as long as I can remember. But I have always said one day I would love to play in England. This along with the fact I get to fight with my fellow countryman David for the spot. I get on really well with David and he persuaded me this was the right club for me to try and be No. 1. He said he would relish the challenge.
David Winder: On the back of that. It really is going to be a tough call to choose who will be No. 1 from now on as David is doing an amazing job but on paper quality wise Victor is a little better. So I am going to be having a headache come every game. I'm not complaining though it's always good to have a selection problem.
That wraps up this press conference for today. Thank you all for coming.
So fellow Managers who would you have as a starter?

Man, that was close. This Arsenal performance should give the teams hope, that got a bad result in their home leg.
Yes... I would of said Valdes as well.
I was thinking Valdes as he has the better quality but De Gea had the higher Handling thats why asked
