Big scare in the CL yesterday because I started with a illegal formation because I forgot my DMC was disqualified so I kept him in formation and the system changed him with a MC… so I changed him immediately but it's like the system didn't take that into account… I lost 0-2 against a weeker team and missed many chances but still qualified because I won 1-3 away.. great scare but at least I'm through
I need some advice from you experienced guys: I failed to advance in CL and Cup, so i only play League. League goes well, I'm ahead with 14-1-0, but its still close because I have a close competitor with 14-0-1 (I won vs him, but had a draw vs a random guy).
I obviously want to win the league, but i want to prepare in the best possible way for next season. How do I do that? Which players should I sell, which should I buy. Should i let go of some players I dont need (I have a 22 player squad, I guess I wont need them for only 1 competition).

Overturned my CL first leg result in style yesterday as Rhondda Rovers came from 3-1 down after the first leg to attack from the off and win 6-1, giving me a 7-4 aggregate victory. It came at a minor loss as inspirational leader Joe Hamlin was injured with a groin strain. Thankfully it's only for 2 days and should return tomorrow.
Got an interesting match against FC Dusha tonight, who is currently looking to attack with a 4-2(MC)-3(AM's)-1 formation. I intend to stick with my usual 4-4-2 formation, with the power training finished in time for Andres Stiegelman as a 6*.

For the first time in about a week, our new prefered formation of 3N-1-3W-1-2 was available to us after Vasko has finally made his full recovery from a 6 day injury, We only had 2 bad results in this time, the draw against Colin FC and the draw in our 2nd leg of or CL last 16 match against Thai Team, everything else was a 2-0 win on average. Non the less, this formation does allow us to play a good passing game with players spread well round the pitch, in the first minute we got of to a flyer when Miku's decent effort from 20 meters found the top corner, Miku tried again from 30 meters later on but it was an easy save for the keeper, Then Metelus who had a brilliant game for our opponents got 1v1 against Seaman then put it wide, Michu then hit the post before Norris showed everyone how to score goals with a brilliant finish from just inside the area, In the second half Michu ran with the ball and beat the last defender and shot it past the keeper to make it 3-0, Then Haute Savoie found a way into the game by a free kick from Milsevic which Seaman fingertipped it over the bar and when the corner came in Camille won the header and Seaman caught it then lobbed the ball forward towards Miku who played it left to L.McNamara who skillfully beat a defender and laid it off to Norris to power it in for his second of the game, Savoie hit back despite being 4 down and both efforts came from Metelus firstly he got 1v1 against Seaman and took it round him to put it into an empty goal, then a Camille pass put him 1v1 against Seaman again and he curled it past him to score... the game was eventually killed off from the moment of the game, Norris with 2 excellent shots from mid range both beating the already demoralised Savoie GK.
Goals: Miku (1) Norris (25,52,87 HAT,88) Michu (48) MOTM: Norris.
We didn't have to wait that long to find another player joins the 4 in a game club since Michu managed it yesterday, Today it was Chuck Norris!!!
David Rocastle made it back to 6* quality after the game finished.
So my 24T signed youth player has now hit 7*

My team, Aluche United, are back on their winning ways in the Beginner's Newbie League and today I only lost 0-2 in the friendly against the team, United Army FC, that beat me 8-0 & 6-0 on previous days, so I am not too despondent.

A match we had to win, fizzled out to a disappointing draw, as everything conspired against us to prevent a positive result. The match started badly (again), when leading scorer, Hector Morgada sustained an ankle injury after just 5 minutes. We managed to hold a halftime lead, when Adam Zola slotted home after a weaving run. But things returned to normal, and we were rocked again, when a dubious penalty was awarded against us (for the 3rd match in succession), and Espareza equalised for the visitors. We are now 3 points adrift of the leaders, having played a game more. If the bad luck continues over the next couple of days, I think it'll be a chance for the reserves to get some match time for the rest of the season.
Running out of tokens.. I'd say it will cost me about 100+ tokens to get him to 8* but this late in the season it's not worth it, especially just for a DC. I'd rather get Petersen to 8* though, he's about 20 awayQuote:

We were called to win by any means to keep up on the League, against the 4th place, and we didn't fail the expectations. Apart from the first 10 mins (forgot to change from middle to flank play -.-), the match started with a good pace from New Team, imposing a good ball control and possession, and having his 2 offensive wings in an awesome condition. New Team stays in second place still, but with only 2 "hard matches" left, while his opponents will have to face still the first 5 in the board.

-A particulat mention goes to Danny Mellow. He is the player i took just to cover for an AMC which proved to be a fast trainer. Not only he went from 24 to 32 in a blink, but despite being acquired at season already started he catched up with 11 goals in 14 half-matches, being the second scorer after Hutton.

I only got 3 greens myself earlier + another 3 greens from 3 friendlies I played after my league game but I lost Ironman Zidane to injury for 4 days for only the second time in 3 1/2 seasons.

Next season shouldn't really be a problem. I'm going to slow down my PT by June-July as I'll be away for that time. Thinking about how to throw away the league and not get promoted because with a good team, I can still get promoted despite playing with an illegal formation (as shown by my 2nd team)Quote:

So I was out by a day, you leave the day after the CL final, so it looks like you may be able to watch the final then set your team up in away not to get promoted the following season by adding a few 3* players and setting up illegal formation and put players OOP.

We bounced back from our draw yesterday with a good win. Suarez got us off the mark in the first minute when he went in behind the defence to finish past the goalkeeper. It was then 2-0 when Petersen also got to a 1 vs 1 position and he couldn't miss from a few yards. It was a fairly eventful remainder of the half, we had several shots blocked and Petersen's free kick blocked. Djordevic's attempt was headed clear by Vittalone and Warmwater was immense in defence for us. We wrapped up the game on 62 minutes, Suarez going through on goal and hitting the ball hard into the roof of the net. Then Petersen's skill allowed him to get through the defence yet again and he made it 4-0 just minutes later. A Mata free kick made it 5-0 before he got his 2nd when he also went past the defence and half volleyed it past a helpless goalkeeper. Huge win.

Thought of writing my thoughts so far in the game.
This's my 2nd season, placed 2nd in league & 3rd in cup last season, so I guess not bad start!
Now we are half way & 1st in league with 11 pnts in hand, got kicked out of cup bc of stupid app issue :/ But still in ChampionsL, Quarter final, so hopefully will go further more as my next opponent looks ok!
I was lucky to have couple of young players when I started, trained the well & they r doing great job so far with 4-5 stars, some with speciality. But needed some deference & subs, so got me good 1s. Will look for some young deff w specialty at end of season or next.
I'm on 1.2m & 23 tokens ;)
Looking at your leagues teams qualities, I'm amazed that Simy FC and Wael FC are both somehow hanging onto your tails, but it does look like below Matty FC everything else is inactive/abandoned.Quote:

As you can see, we made it through the eight-finals after winning our both games against the German team "FC Strikforce" by 1-3 (away) and 3-1 (home). This means that we will have the honour&pleasure to play the next stage of this tournament which is the the quarter-finals. Our opponents this time will be the Italian team "AC Campino" (Q31,7) and I personally think it will be quite tough. As it stands right now, I would say that our chances are 60% vs 40% to get through to the semi-finals. Hopefully we will have luck on our side in the 1th leg and get a win, otherwise we would have to get our **** together in the 2nd leg to have the opportunity to proceed to the semi-finals. :p

League remains a two horse race between myself and my brother, Both dominating games, Our last meeting ended up in a 2-2 Draw. So who know's what could happen in the next game. We are both guaranteed to be in the Final of The Champions League and it so happens the final will be Burnley FC vs Ryan FC, Yes, Pitched in the same Champs League, And it so happens that on the same day we play each other in the league, So The Whole league and Champions league gets decided in one day. Exciting!!!!
