Feeling very deflated after my big day. First up was a dead league game against 13th placed team.
Result: PERSADA FC 1-6 LONDON CITY
Goals: Bentley 36, King 46, Lanwer 63, Harold 71, Lanwer 72pen, Shrimpton 79, King 87
M.o.M: Bjorn Lanwer (LC)
With the league placings all but decided, and with the CL final later tonight, we put out a virtually reserve side for this game. Marcus Bentley prodded home the only goal of the first-half, just before the break. After the interval we were forced into making changes through injuries, and had some players out of position, so as to save our main stars. We had AMC/AML, Bjorn Lanwer playing as a striker, and DR/MDR, Justin Harold playing wide left (ML). The changes really worked though, and the goals flowed from Teddy King (2), Lanwer (2, 1 a penalty), and Harold. Shrimpton scored a consolation for the home side, but they were already trailing 0-5 at the time.
This evening we had the BIG ONE. Our CL final was against the team placed just above us in our league, and looking likely to pip us for 2nd spot.
Result: LONDON CITY 0-1 LESTYNS LEGENDS
Goals: Causer 52
M.o.M: Lulaew (LL)
Another close encounter, and another defeat against our big rival. All our top players were back, but we were disrupted early on, when playmaker, Adam Zola was stretchered off after only 18 minutes. The match remained even up until the 52nd minute, when Legend's MC, Georgio Causer pounced to score the only goal. We battled on, but just couldn't get the equaliser, and so we've ended the season without a trophy. To rub salt into the wounds, Legend's goalkeeper, Alexandr Lulaew was named man of the match.
After the match, the directors hastily called a meeting to discuss the future of manager, Billy Wheeler.

I did this season another strategy. I bought some young substitute players at mid-season, trained them well, but since they did not make it I sell them now with a profit. And I substituted them with older, 26+, 3 star players with special abilities (could grap 3 for 1 token each). I will throw them on the market on day 1 of the season at a good time and hope for some token wars. As a side effect my average quality is slightly lowered, which could be good for the cup (but the effect is only slightly, 1.5 team quality points).
League, round 25 - Perfect Tactics 8-0 Real Madrid FC
Perfect Tactics: 45.3*, 4-3-2-1
Real Madrid FC: 29.9, 3-1-5-1
A meaningless game called for some bit of fun. We played a semi-second team and our favourite formation. Suarez opened the scoring early on after he got through a very poor defence and finished past the helpless goalkeeper. Fabregas made it 2-0 after good work from Norris to set up the goal and then it was 3-0, Javier Pina on his last game for the club set up Petersen for a tap in. Petersen made it 4-0 from a free kick which saw Suarez get injured and then a bit of just deserts for Real Madrid FC who also saw their player get injured. Miller was on a thin line in the 2nd half and was lucky not to be sent off for several tackles but Petersen completed his hat trick on the hour mark with a brilliant free kick. He got his 4th from yet another free kick making it 6-0 before a late strike by Mata put the score to 7-0 and then another free kick from Petersen made it 8-0. 5 goals for Petersen putting his tally on 63 goals for the season
Goals: Suarez (14'), Fabregas (19'), Petersen (25', 36', 59' HAT, 70', 85'), Mata (81')
MOTM: Petersen
Okay I lowered my quality enough I think. I don't wanna spend more tokens and I bought 6 3* Q15 players
