I had some random guy support me in my cup match lol. I think I'm the only level 5 in the cup and he took pity on me, my opponent was a level 8 and I owned his ass. I don't think I'll win the whole thing but it will be amazing if I did

lol... Those formations look stupid to play. Too many players pushed forward and leaving lots of space behind in the midfield area.

Yeah, and nobody reacts on the tactics of the opponent.

Taking a look at the other 1st round schedules I found AA (from my last league season). He adjusts his tactics way better than the upper scout buyers, but had very bad luck last season. He finished second behind me, and he also got runners-up in CL and cup. I remember in RL similar happened to Leverkusen in 2002. The club lost an almost save championship to Dortmund, lost in the CL final vs. Real Madrid and the cup vs. Schalke. Their player Michael Ballack even managed to loose the World Cup final with Germany, too. And afairc he even managed to get booked for all finals.
Leverkusen fought the following season vs. relegation (with stars like Ballack, Lucio -> Bayern gone). AA took the drawbacks much better and managed to qualify for the 2nd round. Good spirit.
