Mmh, really illegal would mean fielding 2 keepers or something like this or having not enough players on the pitch (the match is counter with 0-3 then, discussion in another thread). But a formation that leads to a loss of possesion? I can only think of some cases, but there it depends on how the other team plays.

1. If you leave a part of the team uncovered the opponent can concentrate his game play there and thus deserves a possession bonus.
2. If you park the bus against a team that really plays for possesion, then it is a special case of 1 (in terms of possesion). But due to the compact defense creating chances is not easy, standard situations decide these matches quite often.
3. If you put a field player not at his usual position it depends on how the player fits into the other position. Normally not well if the position is very difficult from his original one, but some players are multi-talents. I remembered Michael Tarnat doing quite well as a goalie for Bayern Munich in the late 90s when Kahn and the substitute keeper both got injured.

So the thoughts behind Nordeus possession system make sense to me and I can also see some comparisons to RL.
But it remains hard that if one choose evil tactics (descirbed above) can trick the system and still grabs wins.
Short question: Was the 3-0 special for him or does he collect points on a regular basis with illegal formations?

45 minutes till Harrogate are away to 2nd placed Jakorx. I have the tough choice of whether to play Bale or the new AML/ML. They have both just got the final SP to become 6*.

Balkan Boyz - Matchday 15 & 16 (Sz.3 - lvl3)

LEAGUE: ROUND 13 & 14 + CL Eight-finals 1/8




As you all can see, We did the "thing" that was expected to be done - To win!

In the first game we didnt have any difficulties with beating the US team "Dani FC" away. The goalscorers was Zlatan Ibrahimović (x1), Miralem Pjanić (x3 - hattrick), Dejan Stanković (x1), Luka Modrić (x1) and Mario Mandžukić (x1). In the second game we faced the German team "FC StrikeForce" in the CL 1/8 - finals and it went quite good! Despite their home advantage and that our left defender became injured in the 3rd minute, we managed to beat them with 1 - 3. M. Mandžukić and Z.Ibrahimović managed to score one goal each in the first half, and M.Mandžukić definitely killed the game in the beginning of the 2nd half with his 0 - 3 goal. The hometeam managed to score a goal 15min from the end, but it didnt change the outcome of the game. This win gives us a slight advantage in the return that will be played tomorrow and I´m confident that we will be able to celebrate as one of the eight teams that will qualify for the quarter-finals

In the third game we faced the Armenian team "FC Mehmet Yanar" which we managed to beat with 0 - 3, despite the fact that we got 2 players (one DC and one MR) injured and another MC sent off in the 2nd (which was *ucking frustrating as well). Nenad Tomović, Abid Kovačević and Miralem Pjanić scored a goal each.

Tomorrow we will be playing the 15th round of the league against our biggest rival "FC KULA" and then we are off to play the 2nd leg of the 1/8 in the Champions league and we are (as always) aiming for 6 points!

Yupp! But the "sad" part is that I have 5 players on the "red cross" list... All away for +5 days

Have to use red packs or change my formation until tomorrow´s game.
