Champions League Last 16 1st Leg: Omonoia 0-6 Harrogate Town

    Goals: Blackstone (18'), Giel (29', 84'), Norris (45', 72'), Uzumaki (46')
    MOTM: Valdes

This was an opportunity to get the away goals incase it was a close call.
It was the 18th minute when Giel crossed for Blackstone to rifle home a volley into the roof of the net. 11 minutes later Blackstone returned the favour with a cross for Giel to head home. Harrogate were playing fluid, slick passing and enjoying the game. On the stroke of half time Norris rifled in a wonderful solo effort from 30 yards out. This brought on half time.
It took just a minute from kick off of the 2nd half for the next goal. Gaston Ramirez who is in an epic battle with Gareth Bale for the left side position, broke free and delivered a perfect ball for for Uzumaki to head home. Then it was just more passing. The few away fans started chanting and counting passes. Then in the 72nd minute Norris got his 2nd of the game from a free kick that the keeper didn't even see. Then the 84th minute saw Giel get a 2nd aswell with a free kick of his own. The keeper got a hand to it but not enough to keep it out.

This was a really good game and in my mind Norris was MOTM not Valdes who didn't have anything to do really apart from one magnificent save.

The home leg in 2 days will see mainly back up players playing and a chance for the new signings to show what they can do.

Champions League Last 16 Round Preview

Thai Team 94.4 vs July Fourth 104.0
    Tonight
July Fourth 104.0 vs Thai Team 94.4 Tuesday

July Fourth face a Thai Team, Name written in thai text, so we always refer teams like these as Thai Team. This a Last 16 tie, that in all honesty we need to take quite seriously, they came through runners up in Kadir's group who are the 2nd strongest side in the competition and also drew against then in Round 6, He looks like a 'Semi Active' manager, a manager that logs in every so often to set his team up for games but does not watch the games, our recent form in the league this season in all honesty has been poor despite being league leaders, but at least out CL form is much better, Thai Team are also league leaders although only by 1 point with a record of 10-1-2 this season, There starting XI consists of 11 5* players is what you need at this level but do not have a great bench, They also have quite a number of players with SA, including Playmaker, Free-Kick, Corner Taker and Shadow Striker, Their prefered formation is the 4-5-1 V, which is a deadly formation when played correctly and he has the correct players, They have recently signed Eden Hazard who scored twice on his debut, Charles Ologun is their ST hoping to fire his gun right witrh 13 goals this season, Mario Alava is dangerous on the Left Wing and obviously their Corner Taker Mohd Halim is effective with 10 assists. July Fourth are missing both their specialist free kick takers for this game, Vasko and Mensah through injury so Papaleo will undertake free-kick duties again and both Vasko and Mensah should be available for the second leg, other than that July Fourth can name a strong side that should be able to win the tie.

Odds to Qualify: Thai Team 6/1, July Fourth 1/10
1st Leg Odds: Thai Team 5/1 Draw 9/4 July Fourth 4/7
2nd Leg Odds: July Fourth 2/7 Draw 4/1 Thai Team 9/1

Prediction: July Fourth to win this by about an aggregate scoreline by about 6 goals.
