Perfect Tactics are out on the pitch to collect their 4th Champions League trophy and again Petersen is the man who will be lifting it in front of all the fans. The players are ecstatic over their win today and deserved this double from the very beginning. The runners up will be disappointed with a 2nd place finish but they did well to come all the way and knock out a token buyer in the 1/8 round. Our defence was given a run for their money and it looked to be going badly for us from the start when Vittalone was booked in the 11th minute and Abdullah's free kick scraping the bar. But Petersen loves his long range strikes and he fired us 1-0 into the lead in front of the Perfect Tactics fans. Sparta kept pressing for the equaliser but our back 4 were immense today and kept out their main threat in Balotelli and Abdullah. They didn't really have any clear cut chances apart from that as Bogdany and Warmwater were on hand for some important blocks and tackles. It was late in the game when we started to put the put the pressure, we were awarded a free kick but it was tipped over by Jacob. Late in the game, some great skill by Mata allowed him to break the defence and steamed clear on goal and drilled home a vicious shot which officially sealed the match. There was some very late drama as substitute Sousa had a great chance to make it 2-1 but De Mafia was there to save the day for us with a nice save.
Goals: Petersen (15'), Mata (82')
MOTM: Mata
