Reserve goalkeeper Khaled Mokhtari was released with the signing of Longrigg, and it was the end of an era for Palace Casuals as the famous 'Flying Wingers' who have terrorised opposition defences since being recruited from the Scout list together at the beginning of Casuals' Season 22 [5 seasons] have both been sold. The two players with the highest appearance counts in Casuals History have been released to pursue their remaining careers with other clubs.
Palace Casuals tried to prove that 'life goes on' with a home game against 5th place, and earned a 2-2 draw. After 42 minutes, midfielder Mustapha Haouli was injured and Hansen's replacement, left-winger Martin Kozak headed in Mario Dinamarca's free-kick to put Casuals in the lead. After the break, the visitors pressurised for the equaliser, which came in the 59th minute, but Casuals then matched their opponents until defender Martin Schopper fouled just inside the penalty box and a goal from the resulting penalty put the visitors ahead. The lead lasted just two minutes, however, as striker Konstantin Kirchev, a substitute introduced just a minute earlier, netted a 25 yard shot to give Casuals a share of the points.
