Target 5* players on the transfer market (no point bidding on 4* or 3* because of lower level managers being able to bid on those), I'd look for older players 25-31 years old and also No SA and Qualities on the lower to mid range of the 5* quality your looking for, most of these players in this category will be bought for not that many tokens.
