What happened to my players' stars?

OR... even the RED star that my striker had from going down from 9* back to 8*...

OH NO!! The most-ever-feared star that we cannot speak about. The red star...

Everyone is in danger! Even the infamous red star has been mobbed.

For some reason, it seems like all of my players lost one star. More players had an orange star, and some had 2 orange stars. I've logged in now to find out that the stars are gone. What happened? Does anybody know?
