Some Thoughts as the Game goes on.

1. Nothing to complain.

This is not a vent thread, I've been playing iphone's games for like 4 years so i understand how game developers act, they want to make money and it's absolutely understandable. This game is even quite comfortable for non-spenders as they can still get 90% fun of the game without spending any dollar. If you want your team to be outstanding then ofc you have to pay, nevertheless there is another cheaper way to do that, is to study aspects of the game (strategies, transfer tips, building ground order, etc..)

2. Transfer market
- I have never chased a target in transfer market that desperately enough to take away from me more than 3 tokens, if i see a VERY favourable player in auction and there is a lot of bid competents, i just walk away believing that there will be a BETTER player showing up in the future. Yesterday i spent one, only-one-token for a 18 YO player, with defensive wall SA and 34 quality (5 stars). Can't believe the day before, people had to go 9 rounds for a 24 YO player with the same SA and 32Q (i gave up at round 2).

- It's very good idea to have a permium Emblem and Jersey, i made the right choice to invest some tokens into those stuffs, when people see me with premium Jersey and Emblem, they just simply avoid bidding against me (even when i have very limited amount of tokens)

- TIPS: If you see a token buyer placing a bid of a player 1-2 hour before the auction ends, you can beat him. Normally people like that don't have time to stare at the transfer market. If you see non-spender jump in when the auction's about to enter round 1 (1-2 sec left), they're just "economical" managers, you can beat them too, after 1-2 round. The worst types of bidding competitors are: 1, someone who doesnt play much, they bid for fun, not really for building up a strong team. 2, active token buyers, they are obssessed by this game, just leave them alone.

3. Competitions
- League: Nothing much to say, I'm level 3 now and tbh it's too easy to win league tittles atm, the teams in my league are all abandoned, no manager at all, and usually they are 10Q lower than me in team rating.
- Champion league: The same as League but sometimes there will be big big token buyers so in this case, just hope you won't meet those guys too soon in knock-out rounds.

- Cup: No! I will NEVER sell my highest rating players at the end of season to be qualified into "weaker" cup table. Cup is the only thing that is actually challenging and unexpectable in this game, and i want keep it that way. Besides, higher cup level grants more cash each match, and i wont have to fight in deadly bid wars at the start of new season.
- One more thing, i have the feeling that Cup matches always bring huge advantages to Home team, some players in their home stadium will be godlike and play with 200% of their abilities. So i usually play defensive when away and crush the opponents when they come to my place. Even when i get scored in away match, i wont risk playing offensive to get a draw, just avoid goal into my net as much as possible.

4. Player Development
- I will never buy any scout player, they can only be useful for maximum of 2 seasons, 69 tokens for that is anything but reasonable for me. And yes, some scout players are even useless in the very first season they show up.
- My team has:
+ 4-5 players at 18-19 year old, they are the core of my squad.
+ 7-9 players at 30+ year old, after one season playing for me, they will be sold.
+ The rest are 20-21 year old players, they can serve me for 2-3 season before getting put in auction.
+ I never buy any 22-29 YO (unless they are really good with SAs)

5. Special Abilities
- I used to underestimate them, but now situation has changed, some of those SAs are extremely useful.
+Useful: Defensive wall, Aerial defence, Free kick Specialist, Corner kick Specialist
+Useless: One-on-one stopper/scorer, Play maker, Dribbler, Penalty kick Specialist/ Stopper.
+I dont know if useful or not: Shadow Striker.
- I never train special abilities on my young player, trading 3Q for 1SA (50 skill points) is not a bad deal, but it will make your young player can't catch up with other guys in the next season.

6. What would i do if i have a lot of token

It's just a for fun question, ofc i dont have a lot of tokens, but if i do, i will:
- Buy Real Madrid emblem and jersey.
- Use personal Trainer to train a 18 YO ST into legend, with free kick specialist.
- Buy cash at the beginning of every season
- Speed up my ground building.


7. The end
Consider it as some thoughts of a level 3 manager, you fellow new players can find some tips here to develop your team, good luck!

Yep, this is pretty much a template of how to play the game.
The only issue I'd have, out of the whole post, is that you don't sell your highest rated players at the end of the season for the favourable cup draw, you actually keep hold of them.
It's all the average to good players you sell, so you end up with maybe a mix of seven 5* and 6* with the other seven players being 1* or 2*.
That way you have just enough quality to get you through the first round of the cup before the buying spree on the third day of the season, and the core of your squad remains.

Level 3? :rolleyes: Come back after crossing level 7, let us know if your experience remains the same.

I agree, this is a great evaluation of the game and I agree with most of it.

Here is what I disagree with....the scout players. Sometimes i'll spend hours upon hours trying to find the right player for a position. Usually when I find the right one the bidding is to high. Yes, i could buy a fast trainer and mold him into what I want, but that kills a LOT of green packs and I'm already doing that with other players. My example here would be a ML/AML/DML with special ability. It's very hard to find one of these in the basic auction.

I'm a father of three so spending a little cash to avoid the late nights and hours upon hours of training makes it worth it to me. Also, if you buy a lower level scout he will last you more than two seasons.

Everyone lives are different. Some have more time to devote to the game than others.

and yes, if hit the lottery i would buy a personal trainer and watch him wreck shop too! ;)

Right, it sounds as a good strategy, but how can i get 1 star players? I'd like to keep good subs (4-5 stars) so i use all my slots on my squad to fill with decent players that can replace my main team when they're injuried, tired (that way i can save up a lot of green + red packs :o)

I know i know, i heard it somewhere, things will change when you get to lv 5, nothing's even rational, but then what? Many of you guys still play to level 10,20, i think i can do that too ;)

It's the truth, the convenience of any game is that you can trade your money for time, If i have a shortage of time, i will do the same. I didnt say scout players are worthless, most of them actually change the table, i faced with couple of teams with scout players, usually they play very well and have 8.0+ rating after the matches.
Another thing you've got it right: about the AML/AMR with good SA, i can't find them too, lol, i was looking for an AM with shadow strike but never see them in transfer market, or if they show up, there will be a bloody bid war.

But as a low level manager (1-3), is it not advisable to buy scout player? First, you can do well without any scout. Second, If you buy scout at first season, you will enjoy winning, the next season, you dont buy and you start losing, you'll lose faith, thinking that the only way to win is to spend. Then, you end up quitting the game after spending considerable money on it, because you can't keep up with the demand for scout players.

IMO, i will buy scout player, may be at level 6,7. Not now :cool:

You have learned a lot for 3 seasons. Do not forget to read some tutorials on forum, they are useful for everyone.

You are very close to the point, but...
Experienced player usually do not buy players whose age is 30+ because later it is very hard to sell them.
I'm focused on 2 type of players on market, I choose them rather by value (and price on auctions) than by age only;
1) fast trainers - very expensive players whose age is 18-20, growth is very fast, that is why they are good on long term
2) cheap players - players which have slow growth, but good quallity. You can also find age 20 players which are very cheap due their very slow growth. They usually play 1-2 seasons in my team before selling. I buy such players in order to save money for fast trainers.
For example, on level 10 fast trainer costs ~30M while cheap player could be found ~10M

I purchased the lowest level scout at 39 tokens during my first season. he was a striker with penalty kick attributes. He lasted me about 3 seasons of solid scoring and still did fairly well the 4th season as well. He was always in the league top 5. I know this isn't the case for all scouts. I think I just got lucky.

For 39 tokens you bought an old scout. Old scouts almost always perform good and you have my word on this.
Younger players are less stable, while older players are more reliable.

Buying an old scout to captain your team is actually a rather powerful strategy.

But, low resale value and high wage make them extremely expansive to use.
You may just buy two 5* oldies (age>28) per season instead.

Can't agree more, i do spend my cash on 2 types: fast and slow trainers.
I've noticed that some 23,24 YO guys train slow like they are 40, so i never buy them.
And at level 3, selling 30+ is still easy, just wait till the market is crowded :D

For 1* you need to plan long term really.
Don't be worried about the odd season 'tanking' (purposely not getting promoted to consolidate the team and save up reds and greens).
Here's my squad this season, I'm top of the league, through to CL KO stages and looking good in the cup as well.
My top player is Q130 and my lowest player is Q68.
The 68 quality player is 30 yo and has been in my squad since an academy youth, as have all my 1* players.
All the players highlighted in yellow are bought on the third day of this season.
Most of them will be sold on on the last day of this season along with a couple of others who have just reached 'past usefulness' stage so I'll start next season with probably six 5*+ players and eight 1* (I'll sign another academy player before the end of the season), I'll get rid of one of the 1* and fill the remaining places with 5* (hopefully close to 6* if I', lucky) transfers.

We play at the same level and pretty much the exact same mentality... It's true that home cup games boost the players morale (this season never lost, now at Top 16) but even then I play defensive formations. Goals win you ties but away goals are more important since they break the tie in goals if any. So it's always better to have a clean sheet at home than a clean sheet at away (an away draw is what you need). But your strategy will confirm a win of the tie if you have 1st leg at home.

Good tips, Im gonna use your strategy later on, when my youth academy gives out some young players.
Now i'm level 3, if i want 1 star players i'm supposed to bid against level 1 managers, it's quite painful though, they have nothing to lose ;)

I dont play defensive at home, we should score as much as we can when at home and isnt' it true that playing defensive will descrease the number of goal you score?
Home goal is not a big deal though, if you notice when at home the defenders/goalie are usually the guys who excel most, they always perform well enough to be trusted :cool:

And if you play 10 matches in Cup i think there will be only 1 match with tied result, should we pay too much attention on away-home goals? :p

It's very good thinking for newbie manager. However it's not so simple like you think that way by theory...

It's all depend on various factors...

1. The higher level, the more difficult to compete...Everything is easy till maybe level 10 but then things will getting tougher...

2. All depend on what u want to achieve in this game...If u want just fun game then your thinking is correct..but If u want to be treble winner then if U dont have competitve quality team (with token players) then you have no chance...Only some certain Europe n the US can easily farming tokens so they dont need to spend a lot of cash but time...Not everyone have time to observe coz some are students some are working adults..all depend on what they really want with the game...

3. The strategy of spending little token to get good player also like fishing...
Just an example, 1 of my team (Tuan DM FC) which is now standing at level 25...At my server, for the last 6-7 seasons, even managers have to fight for 32-33-34 years old 5 star players even just lowest level of 5 stars (starting at 0-1) and if u think u just need to spend 1-2 tokens then just forget about it...in order to win U need to have atleast 7-15 tokens to start your bidding...and if you think that with the team u can win double or treble last season still can compete easily at the next level..it totally wrong...Why???Coz alot of teams that demote even have higher quality then you...they could be tanking teams or just simply the managers no time to play and leave for 1 -2 seasons b4 they get it back...their quality always stand on 5-6-7 stars player..and you think your 4-5 stars team quality can beat them...they dont even attend the match also can lead the table when you are struggling at bottom half,bro
Again, by theory, it's logically like you think coz you are now just at level 3...still long way to go and the game will be tougher...

Sorry, I forgot your facilities weren't fully built. I get 3 sets of academy youths a season and just took it for granted everyone else did! :D

Not necessarily - most of my games (especially in the Cup) are played with defensive/counter mentality as I'm usually playing against higher Level/better Q teams. I win more than I lose, and score more than one goal in the game about 80% of the time... One of the Palace Casuals League Championships listed below was achieved by playing almost the whole season using 4-5-1V formation, with defensive/counter tactics.

Another tactic I've used in away Legs where I've won at home without conceding in the 1st Leg in the Cup is to go attacking until I get the away goal then change to defensive. Usually the away goal in this instance means that the opponent has to score one more than you have to win the tie, and it eliminates the possibility of extra-time and penalties...

Game doesnt even start until lvl 5 when you are either feeling the crunch of poor money management or worse, poor token management. Hope you take the time to keep learnimg and growing.

All the players can last till they 'll retire
but younger scout list players are more expensive.
Those players, if they are 22 y.o., after two seasons in your team, they 'll gonna be 24 .y.o. 5* players. Then, they can do a +60% gaining in training (3bars, practice) or games. That way, at the end of the season, they 'll reach again the 6*.
So they can last longer as higher quality players than the older ones.

Not at level 5,bro...till level 10-15 still consider pretty easy...I believe only after level 20 then u will see those thing happens often..no time to think what u can do with tokens...with power training or whatsoever..how to maintain the club is oledi so hard..Unless u always got demote or tanking and they force u sold off your best players....kekeke

Till now, i dont have any problem with token, if by any chance i do, i will spend some $, not a big deal.
The offers from free token are also easy to get, with 1 android, 1 i-device and 1 laptop you can get like 5-7 tokens a day for free. Periodically, there are even bugs that you can earn tokens from 1 offer over and over again.
I've been thinking unless u spend tokens on 20+ rounds bidding war or buying scout players, u wont have any problem relating to this.

The only thing worries me about the future seasons is when the match results dont reflect the difference between 2 teams, i mean you will lose to weaker teams more oftenly and get eliminated by lower rating squads.

This seems to happen along with my current season, there is an abandoned club with average quality keeps winning everygame in league and his goal difference is now +41 which is relatively high considering he has only 3 star STs. Feel like the game itself is creating obstacles for us from winning the tittles.

Okay, tips memorized. I will apply defensive/counter attack if i see any team with better squad than mine. But playing offensive/defensive has one disadvantage when your player's condition will drop more quickly and tbh i dont have surplus green packs to recover them. And also i tried couple of time, when my team is leading with minimum ratio (like 1-0, 2-1), i play defensive and get scored (aww), since there i started to think may be the best defence is an offence, just saying.

Just an example, 1 of my team (Tuan DM FC) which is now standing at level 25...At my server, for the last 6-7 seasons, even managers have to fight for 32-33-34 years old 5 star players even just lowest level of 5 stars (starting at 0-1) and if u think u just need to spend 1-2 tokens then just forget about it...in order to win U need to have atleast 7-15 tokens to start your bidding...and if you think that with the team u can win double or treble last season still can compete easily at the next level..it totally wrong...Why???Coz alot of teams that demote even have higher quality then you...they could be tanking teams or just simply the managers no time to play and leave for 1 -2 seasons b4 they get it back...their quality always stand on 5-6-7 stars player..and you think your 4-5 stars team quality can beat them...they dont even attend the match also can lead the table when you are struggling at bottom half,bro
Again, by theory, it's logically like you think coz you are now just at level 3...still long way to go and the game will be tougher...

- you're saying in high (very high) levels like 10-20, biding will be harder, makes sense.
- also the opponents will be more skillful, experienced T11 players and possibly with better squad, okay.
- and it's hard to win triple trophies.

So be it, first i must clarify that im not kind of player who seeks for trible tittles, i mean will you get any token for that?? All you get is a in-game's achievement and 28 days of a fancy showcase in your profile that you hope someone will take a look at it. My purpose now is CASH, i need cash, i dont need tittles (ironically). If i could exchange my previous 2 league titles for 5M cash now i would do. So i never demote my team for better cup draw.

As i'm listening to you, i will save some tokens for level 10 (7 months from now), may be 500 tokens, will it be enough to bid? And if it takes 10-17 tokens or more for a player of 5 stars so why dont you buy a scout for 39 tokens, dont tell me the scout's price is higher than my level :(

And finally if it's getting too hard like anyone here is implementing, why you guys are still playing? If i spend lots of time, and real money in this game and i dont get many wins, i will just stop playing.

Yes..it is very much difference..The 6 star token player at my level is 69 token each..and also the problem is u might not getting promote if u are not finishing above 7th place in the league while u refuse 2 spend tokens even you have decent team from previous season..Now at level 3 you wont see it,bro..till level 15 it's very very easy to win double or u could win treble even but after that it's very difficult..Myself till level 20-21, I still often bag double champions easily for all my 5 teams..I'm managing 5 teams atm ..Level 26/25/19/16 and 13...something like this:

But then look at the situation of My Tuan DM FC this season.I have more than enough cash since i won so much trophies at every single season...I had also spend time to bid when im free and I had a very competitive team last season as u could see but u see the average age of my players..28.3...hic..all i can get is above 28 years old..some even 31..very very competitive league..atm I'm not sure I can finish 7th this season or not (hopefully better than that) ..since in my league...the Demoted Teams they all have much better quality players then mine..3-4 teams they even not active at all...and they still can win easily..all rank above my team...

And why people keep on playing? The answer is the Game is quite challenging and addicted...U will see it by yourself after 2 years from now on...;)

The offers from free token are also easy to get, with 1 android, 1 i-device and 1 laptop you can get like 5-7 tokens a day for free. Periodically, there are even bugs that you can earn tokens from 1 offer over and over again.
I've been thinking unless u spend tokens on 20+ rounds bidding war or buying scout players, u wont have any problem relating to this.

The only thing worries me about the future seasons is when the match results dont reflect the difference between 2 teams, i mean you will lose to weaker teams more oftenly and get eliminated by lower rating squads.

This seems to happen along with my current season, there is an abandoned club with average quality keeps winning everygame in league and his goal difference is now +41 which is relatively high considering he has only 3 star STs. Feel like the game itself is creating obstacles for us from winning the tittles.
