Yep, this is pretty much a template of how to play the game.
The only issue I'd have, out of the whole post, is that you don't sell your highest rated players at the end of the season for the favourable cup draw, you actually keep hold of them.
It's all the average to good players you sell, so you end up with maybe a mix of seven 5* and 6* with the other seven players being 1* or 2*.
That way you have just enough quality to get you through the first round of the cup before the buying spree on the third day of the season, and the core of your squad remains.

Right, it sounds as a good strategy, but how can i get 1 star players? I'd like to keep good subs (4-5 stars) so i use all my slots on my squad to fill with decent players that can replace my main team when they're injuried, tired (that way i can save up a lot of green + red packs )

I know i know, i heard it somewhere, things will change when you get to lv 5, nothing's even rational, but then what? Many of you guys still play to level 10,20, i think i can do that too

For 1* you need to plan long term really.
Don't be worried about the odd season 'tanking' (purposely not getting promoted to consolidate the team and save up reds and greens).
Here's my squad this season, I'm top of the league, through to CL KO stages and looking good in the cup as well.
My top player is Q130 and my lowest player is Q68.
The 68 quality player is 30 yo and has been in my squad since an academy youth, as have all my 1* players.
All the players highlighted in yellow are bought on the third day of this season.
Most of them will be sold on on the last day of this season along with a couple of others who have just reached 'past usefulness' stage so I'll start next season with probably six 5*+ players and eight 1* (I'll sign another academy player before the end of the season), I'll get rid of one of the 1* and fill the remaining places with 5* (hopefully close to 6* if I', lucky) transfers.
