Rubbish pal…25 packs brought me down to 9 days
Click the arrow under the "hire a doctor" tab, and you can heal all injuries for at most, 15 reds.
If the "confirm 5 reds tab" is clicked instead, you'll spend 5 red for each day the player is injured.
It took several months to figure it out for me and had been healing injuries day by day, like you just did. Healing injuries is way more complicated than it needs to be.

My AML pulled his hamstring, injured for 12 days from 27/10/15. Pretty much out of the season... Have only 5 med packs
You have to spend 15 reds AT ONCE to heal him... Don't spend 5 a day.
How do you do that?
as I see no other way than to spend the 5 reds on one day…Im playing on the pc
Er... I play on Android. Don't have Facebook (doesn't want to have that) so can't play there. On phone, I tap on my player, then keep tapping on the injury until it says fit. If the injury is for one day (when I don't use reds) then 5 packs heals him. 2 days then 5 packs reduce recovery time by a day, 9 heals. 3 days injury then 5 reduce 1 day, 9 reduces 2 days, 12 heals. To sum it up:
Reds—Days Reduced
5—1
9—2
12—3
14—4
15—Heals
If the healing time matches with the med pack reduction time then the player will be healed. If an injury is for 3 days, then you can spend at the most 12 reds at a time and no more, which'll heal him.
