how to fix a striker

I think strikers have lost their effectiveness, to be fair those stats aren't too bad. I have had a scout striker two seasons and have the same problems. He has played 21 games and only scored 5 goals. I would sell him but every striker I buy seems to be ineffective. Some have said playing through the middle seems to be more effective, however I have good AML/AMR players who are in form so am not missing the goals ATM, but I must admit its very frustrating.

my little trick: try to change his name like David Beckam or Sneijder or someone famous for free kick as well...good luck...strange but it might work...
