Unhappy So bad results in my club, please help

    Hey all,

This might be too late for asking you to help because I already have so bad results in my club history and I don't know what to do. I tried many things but none worked.
I used 3-2-3-2 formation since I know for my club.
Currently I use 4-1-4-1 but that doesn't seem to help.

    This is my current squad:

I use very attacking mentality, pass down both flanks, pressing high, tackling normal, passing mixed, marking zonal.
    Offside trap: no
    Force counter-attack: yes

So this is the history of my club (don't laugh):

    Level 21

    League won: 1 single time
    League 2nd place: 2 times
    Champions League won: 0
    Cup won: 0
    Cup 3rd place: 1 time

Also I was 14th on the table 4 times in my history.

    Matches won: 343
    Matches drew: 114
    Matches lost: 324

If you know what could help me please tell me.

I 'm surprised that playing hard attack (with that team) and counters, you won a league and you have more won matches.

There's plenty of stuff on this forum to give you the advice you want.

Consider using counter-formations to your opponents, look at the dos and don'ts regarding tactics (eg attacking and counter-attack) and arrows, and how to get the best players, and get the best out of them.

I recommend you start here: http://forum.topeleven.com/tutorials...ls-guides.html

4-1-4-1 is not an attacking formation. Set mentality to defensive. Maybe you can use normal against much weaker teams, but you'll have to experiment with that. Experiment with high or low pressing and see what works best.

Loose a GK. You don't need 3. Try to get back-up for every other position (another DC, ML and MR at least). Look for players with multiple positions, it will make it easier for you to change formation if needed.

Go read around the forums. Start with the tutorial section. Here's a nice collection:

This is one I especially like:

    Here are some more:

Learn about counter formations (and decide whether or not to use them):

If you're dedicated enough to farm green and red packs and/or spend money on this game, learn about fast young trainers and powertraining.

In the end it's all about building a strong team and understanding tactics. Study your opponents, learn to understand stats and keep an eye on your player's form. Experiment and see what works best. You'd still need to be lucky to win Cup or CL (I know I do), but at least you can be competitive.

    Merry Christmas.

sign the daily contract for jersey sponsor and tv rights
gives the max money and 35 token per season.

If staying in the same lv, buy (now or the latest days of the season) some cheap 28-30 y.o. 5* players, with good stats if possible and sell your worst players.

Some managers develop two or three standard formations which they will use in different situations (attacking, defensive, holding) - others will use a counter-formation every match.

Have a look at your opponent's formation and then consult this table:

    http://forum.topeleven.com/formation...ation-use.html

This will provide an idea of the best formations to use in response to the formations that your opponents will use. It's a bit old, and some of the combinations have been overtaken by changes that Nordeus have made to the game engine, but it's a useful start to determining the best formation to use on any occasion. You will find that many teams in your League will use 2 or 3 of the same formations - that will help in developing your counter-formations.

If you look at which players are being put in which positions against the oppositions players you will gain an insight into the ways that you can develop your own tactics with the players that you have. As others have said, you only need 2 goalkeepers, max; you will need cover for every position on the pitch to be able to use these formations (this is where multiple position players are very useful) and cover situations where you have two (or more) matches in one day and haven't the red/green/blue packs to completely prepare your team (squad rotation).

Don't worry about getting a complete 5*/6* formation first off - the ones you see pictured in the 'Team Showcase' and 'Season xx' topics have been built-up over several seasons. A balanced 2*/3*/4* team can do equally as well as a high-quality one (to the annoyance of the owners of those teams).

Look at the performance of your players - if they're playing well (no matter what their */Q) and getting good ratings, then they're worth keeping to form the core of your team around. Get replacement for the duffers, looking for multiple position players as a preference. If a previously good player's performance starts dropping off (low rating) then bench them for a couple of days and try them again - usually their performance will come back after a rest.
