Drew lge game 2-2 @ home
@El Pistolero
I wouldn't invest much T, in STs with the latest performances.
If you want him for AMC ok, but what are your goals for this season ?
If you want to enforce the team for winning the league or the double, ok. If you can't see it coming, save your sources for the next season (also to keep low the q of the team ;) ).
I want him for AMC only as my current one rarely contributes yet he doesn't play bad so I'm wondering if another AMC would play better and score and assist.
Would you replace Ferreiro if you was me?
I think the League has run away from me. I have a good chance of winning Cup and if I get through semis I face a more equal and fair opponent in final whoever wins.
So double is in reach I think.
I almost had a heart attack in my CL second leg.
Went in leading 1-0 on aggregate and 3 minutes into the game he scores. Very convenient....
Then around the 25th minute mark he has a player sent off then Escobar has a penalty saved by the on form keeper.
Then he doubles the lead in the second half so I go all out with offside trap on and Siqueira scores so as things stood in going through on goal difference.
I sub my left back and then my sub scores to take the lead then Escobar assists Pitry from the corner.
2-3 (2-4 agg) into the semi finals.
CL 1/4 finals match 2
So the third game on the row that we not played with the strongest team. It goes well.
We are trough the next round.
AGG: 6-2

Day 21 - Palace Casuals report - and a bit of Terriers news.
After a debacle with tactics and orders for the home match against today's opponents earlier this season, the Palace Casuals Management was careful to do his research on them for the return match, as they are in 2nd place, just above the Casuals. Opting for 4-4-2 Classic against the opposition's attack-heavy asymmetric formation, with Normal/Mixed/Low/Short/Counter orders, the match ebbed and flowed until the home side scored first. Opting for status quo for a while, the Management's patience was rewarded with a couple of quick goals in response, striker Jason Purse doing all the work in getting through the defence, passing to flying right-back Joao Azevedo at the last moment, who didn't miss. Three minutes later, dual-role left-sided midfielder Felipe de Vasconcelos Leite, playing left-winger for the day, burst down the left side and crossed for central midfielder Mario Dinamarca to score a rare goal from open play when he headed the cross past the stranded 'keeper. Half-time arrived with Casuals holding a 2-1 lead, and the Management then opted for caution and asked them to play defensive in the second half - if anything, that increased their possession and created even more chances for the visitors attack, but the home defence wasn't in the mood to give away anything further. A last 10 minutes of home pressure earned them a couple of free-kicks and resulting corners, but the visitors defence and particularly 'keeper Milan Sedlacek kept them at bay and Casuals claimed a notable victory, which lifts them into 2nd place in the table.

Palace Terriers spent a while in the Transfer Market this afternoon and came up with a fresh-faced striker to bolster the attack, which has been stuttering lately. The player concerned garnered a fair amount of initial round interest, but the other prospective owners disappeared once the auction got down the the real nitty-gritty, so Terriers picked him up for 2T/$11.1M...

- I don't use AMC in every game. If oppo has player in the flanks (AMR-L, MR-L),
I use 4-5-1V. Only if oppo playing 4-4-2 ND or 4-3-3 (middle), I use AMC or a third MC.
Urg now I just had to go and beat the league leader with 0 win bonus on.....
To tank or not to tank, that is the question.

Day 21 - Palace Terriers League report.
With one eye on the Champions League Quarter-Final 2nd Leg, which kicks off exactly three hours after the League match, the Palace Terriers Management considered playing a weakened team in this League match, but as Terriers hold a 2-goal advantage from the 1st Leg, decided to play a full strength squad and let the stock of Green packs take the strain for the players that need to play in the CL match. That decided, the Management then decided to forego the standard counter for 3W-5-2V (3-2-2-2-1 Butterfly) for a defensive 4-5-1V at home against a team that bats above its average. The proved a successful decision as right-winger Declan McGranaghan bagged a brace in a 2-0 win that keeps the pressure on the team in 2nd place in the League.

Day 21 - Palace Terriers Champions League report.
Palace Terriers went into their Champions League Quarter-Final with five player and two positional changes from the squad that played three hours previously in the League. With a two goal advantage from the home 1st Leg, they relied on a defensive 4-5-1V formation against a team with a slight overall quality inferiority. Striker Samir Gross was moved to his alternate position on the left-wing and new signing striker Kamel Hamlili put in as lone forward, and both scored in a 2-0 win that takes them through to the Semi-Finals 4-0 on aggregate. Again, both MCs get yellow cards, the one for Zoltan Nagy means he misses the Semi-Final 1st Leg match.

Day 22 - Palace teams report - one and final for today...
Overnight, the draw for the Semi-Finals for Palace Terriers' Championship League were revealed:
Attachment 61793
Both League matches kicked off early today.
Palace Casuals were off first, and made heavy weather of defeating the 13th placed team at home. ST/AML Andre Faisca, playing in his alternate position on the left-wing, scored twice in the last 10 minutes to complete the win and his own hat-trick - the first in the League by a Casuals player for quite a few seasons...
Attachment 61794Attachment 61795Attachment 61796
Palace Terriers followed soon after, and continued the theme by containing the forward line of their 9th place opponents and meeting stiffer than expected resistance from the relatively poor-Q defence. Striker Samir Gross scored the only goal of the match.
Attachment 61797Attachment 61798Attachment 61799
With the Palace Terriers' central midfield being showered by yellow cards in the Championship League Quarter-Finals, two out of the four MCs are suspended for the 1st Leg of the Semi-Final - the Terriers Management took a look in the Transfer Market and ended up, after a protracted fight, with this NordGen MC for 5T/$19.1M. The other bidder was a Manager who I have come up against in the TM several times this season, with a 50% success rate. He popped in a Friend request during the auction (presumably hoping to distract me from the bidding). At the end of the auction I accepted the request - the Token fund can take only a limited number of these heavy auctions and hopefully, as a friend he won't compete against me...

Atlético Kolkata Day 22 and 23 Report
I definitely won't risk putting even £375k bonus in league, I'm desperate for a title and waiting for a slip up by the leader. I fear that no bonus could had affected me very bad, as learned it in my 5-1 rout of the bottom placed tanker. Only one win so far for him and quite success he is, but he scored first. But leftback Girault equalised in 34'. Andrew John then scores three on the trot, all screamers, from a distance unthinkable. The shadow striker ability finally pays off in 39', 55', 73'. Prananda got injured, replaced by Steer who assisted in the 73'. And just before wrapping it up, Claudio converted a penalty.
I believe Atlético Kolkata can once again win the CL as we progressed after drawing 2-2 away and winning 5-4 agg.
Bircan put us ahead in 2'. But they put up a shock on our face, quickly coming back and tying the agg on 27' and 55'. We would've dropped on away goals, so Guerro, who had a bad day, came back for Saba. Finally, the super sub scores, and the super corner specialist assists in the 84', thereby tying the away goals and leading us on agg, a lead which we held till the end.
Today, a 3-1 away. As earlier we conceded early in the 4'. Some hopes after getting a penalty, but the keeper saved it. Bircan, my only AMR, got injured. Not another troll, please. AML Jenson, however, striked in 27', right after the keeper saved his first attempt. John (not a AMR) replaces Bircan, and surprisingly scored in 37' assisted by Bezares. Still wasn't happy with the 1-goal lead which can easily collapse. So, with Saba coming for Guerro, and the team played hexagon and more attacking orders. In the 73', Saba relieved off all the pressure from a stunning free kick. This time a defensive approach, MOM Bezares out for Philip Lahm, John came to AMC and we switched to defensive orders. I was not happy with the defence at all today. Very shaky. But a win is a win; we can't afford to even draw.

This has got to be one of the craziest seasons I have experienced so far. I am going up and down in the league. I refuse to tank with my team because it would be a shame with this much 6 and 7 star players. I won my game thank god with 2-4 after I got set back to 2-0. I changed formation quickly and turned the game around. I am at 4th position but 2 teams can get more points then me so I am 5-6th. Champions league however is a breeze so far. Semi finals with a good shot at the final. My 6 star best player from last 3 seasons starts to score 4,4's?????? What is going on? Did the money get to his head? Did he use drugs? Cheated on his girl friend? All of a sudden he is missing all free kicks, grrrrrr. And a 4,4 after 40 minutes? Holy...... Never seen that happen.
My second team will propably end second in the league. I tied against the leader and he is 6 points ahead. I am 7 points ahead from the number 3. Lets hope he spills some more points. Champions league is also a breeze here but I am facing a higher Q team in the semi finale.
League win 3-0
Hagedorn, Tebily and Azulay all assisted by Escobar.
Tough Champions League Semi Final later tonight.
goodluck with the semi later won my own 2-3 so a few away goals for the next match, ten points clear in league so going well

Day 23 - Palace Terriers Champions League report.
Palace Casuals played at home in their Semi-Final 1st Leg, and drew 2-2. The Management were disappointed in the score and that the opposition got two away goals, but reserved his ire for the stupid Android App which insisted that he had made all his substitutions when he obviously hadn't made any, and thus couldn't sub off injured DMC Piotr Wojnarowski...

Day 23 - Palace Casuals report.
Palace Casuals played away at 5th place in the League and, after a slow start, prevailed for a score of 3-1. Casuals had gone to the top of the table after yesterday's match but it was assumed that was only temporary pending the leader's match, but they lost and Casuals now have top place by right...
