Day 25 - Palace Terriers Champions League report.
Palace Terriers bow out of the Champions League at the Semi-Final stage, losing the away 2nd Leg 1-2 and the tie 3-4 on aggregate. Both teams equal on quality, and after an all-square 1st leg it all came down to tactics, orders and luck - it appears that the opposition had a bit more of the latter in this match.

I should of attended. He didn't really do anything until his DMC got injured (he was playing 3n-1-4-2) then he subbed on a MC and his 5 man midfield clearly was too much. I'm in a bit of a shock tbh as Azulay is one of my top performing defenders and before the last two cup games back to back I was over 30 games unbeaten.My case is even worse, lost to Arsenal 3-0 home and away

Oh well, I said at the start of the season I didn't stand a chance in CL and Cup was realistic and yet I got to the semi final of CL and I'm favourite for Cup final.
All in all, I'm pleased with my season, I've only won the Cup once hopefully make it twice.
I was beaten by a 7* team a division above me so I won't dwell on it
The League is annoying though, I've lost only once but drawn 8 and 1st place doesn't look like losing 2 games in 5.

Both managers were present. It looks like that 4-5-1 v style is not the most counterable formation against 4-4-2. Besides that we have a good win since the nr 1 played equal. Tommorrow we face the number 1 and that can be the league winner desider.

Phoenix United beat 3rd place and theatrically cemented top 2 with a 3-1 home result.
First time I played him I had a player sent off and had to battle for a draw, this time his best player saw red and we took advantage coming from behind Escobar scoring twice, one a penalty and Tebily scored to win the game.
Probably an important win just for confidence before a Cup game.
