    WE WON THE TREBLE!!

    Season 76 - Are you ready?-image.jpgSeason 76 - Are you ready?-image.jpgSeason 76 - Are you ready?-image.jpg

We went down 0-1 early and had to come back to lead 2-1 thanks to striker Escobar assisting left mid Tebily and Tebily assisting right back Azulay. At 2-1 and 75 minutes gone I thought it would be safe to bring on the opponents former striker CHO! A minute later they equalised and I stupidly subbed off my best player Escobar. It went to extra time despite me dominating the game but his offside trap was lethal with 3 CBs. I changed Cho to freekick taker and on 119 minutes one of his 3 CBs got a straight red and Cho stood next to previous taker Cardozo and crossed from the left to assist my attacking mid Hagedorn!!

What a thriller! I actually wanted him to score a winner but I think a 119 minute freekick assist against your former club is even better xD

My grandkids will know Chos name hahaha

Congrats. I seem to never pocket more than 1 trophy a season, tho this season I was tanking in league. Happy to get the Cup. 2 Cups, 1 CL, 0 League, 7 seasons gone... In fact, Atlético de Kolkata never finished first in both the seasons of the 8-team Indian Super League table, but managed to finish in top four both the seasons. ISL uses a 2-legged semifinals then the final for the top four teams at the end of the group stage.
AH AH — manager of Atlético Kolkata. Named in honour of my hometown club, Atlético de Kolkata, which won the inaugural edition of Indian Super League in 2014.

A good defence is the best offense.

Thank you, Arion. I'm delighted to win my first treble.

I have to thank Hoofdaddy and Niko, without their help it wouldn't of been possible.

The training update almost ruined my season until I got back on track and had an unbelievable season. 10 games without conceding, just 1 loss in the league and months of getting the right squad, the right tactics and I got there. Full backs getting double figures, wingers scoring often, the best GK I've ever had and Escobar who I compare to David Villa leading my team to a treble.

I'm sorry man. Well done on getting to the final, hopefully you have more luck next season.

When I lose a final, it motivates me to better my season overall.
3 seasons ago I lost in the final of CL and added the winner, he's in my league and I'm first and he won't even qualify for CL this season
Last season, I finished 2nd won a cup and got to semis of CL. My goal this season was to do the double and try and get to final of CL. I completed the treble

Lost the double. Crazy finale. I am up against an equal quality so everything is possible. Game starts and he gets 60% possession straight away. Ohoh. Hmmm, lets see how it goes. 1-0 behind. Damn, lets make a change. 2-0 behind. Wait wait wait, I was just subsituting somebody. Ah good substitute, I see a lot of green numbers. Lets check the stats. I had 2 shots at target after 36 minutes and he had 12 shots and 6 at target? What the.....

MC scores a 5,7. Lets switch him. Red numbers again. Sub made, lots of greens again. Animations in the last 55 minutes. 1 for me only I get ratings of a 7 on average. What is going on? 3-0 and 4-0. Oh that is going on In the end possession equal. Shots 13 vs 20. Shots on target 4 vs 13. Saves 6 vs 3. This has to be one of the strangest games in my whole career.

Oh well first in the league, second in the CL and my second team league winner. Not a bad season.

Day 27 - Palace Terriers Champions League Final report.

Palace Terriers added a Champions League win to their roll of honour, as they triumphed in the Final this morning. The opposition had two key players suspended and the replacements brought their starting XI Quality down to parity with the Terriers, so with neutral territory and both managers in attendance, the match was going to be a good one.

Terriers suffered the first blow as their central defender and key set-piece taker Onder Chamoun picked up an injury in the 6th minute, and then the Management suffered a freeze-up on their device. One reboot later, and the match was approaching half-time without any substitution being made, but thankfully the score was still 0-0. Immediately after half-time, DMC Piotr Wojnarowski was pushed on in place of the injured Chamoun, and Xavier Theresine, who had been playing DMC, dropped back into the defensive line, which was pushed up the field and told to play offside trap to support a more attacking order given to the front line.

The match remained evenly-balanced until 15 minutes from time, when the match-turning incident occurred. Striker Samir Gross was bundled over on the edge of the box and left-winger Nikolay Radev found himself standing over the ball for the free-kick, which he dispatched neatly over the wall and past the 'keeper for the opening goal. Terriers then had to endure a torrid last 15 minutes, the last 10 in hard defensive mode, fending off the opposition's attacks in search of an equaliser. The final 5 minutes seemed like an eternity to the Management and they were mightily relieved to hear the final whistle, which turned the opening goal into the only goal, and Terriers were able to lift the trophy, adding this to the League Championship for their first-ever double.
