Lets see if I can work wonders again with my team. I thought last season was a bad start. Well think again Roy. I am a bottom feeder right now. 3 wins and 4 losses is not a good way to start. Lost my game yesterday againsta team with 2Q less. I had the upper hand the whole game. 20 shots and 7 at target and 2 goals. He got 16 shots with 5 at target and scored 4, sigh. Not much you can do about this. CL and Cup are looking good though, but that 11th place is just blergh. Tough league again.

My second team is doing well in the league with 7 straight wins. CL I am third now though. Crazy weaker opponent with asymetric formation there put me at 2 losses. Grrrrr. Cup, first match was a 3-1 win.

They've been putting emphasis on training more. Try training the first team 3-4 easy drills. Repeat the drill.

Day 10 - Palace Terriers Cup report.

Player news: The Management have been holding on to a 2*/49Q DMC/DML/DMR player with Playmaker SA (Market Value $3.9M) while the other DMC-capable defenders were covering for an injured 5* defender. The tri-role DM player hadn't been trained and could usually be found on the bench or non-playing reserves. In the meantime he had been the subject of numerous negotiation offers, all for $3.73M/0T, and all except one from the same manager. The Terriers countered with 'if you want him, then pay $4.12M/2T', but every time the offer period ran out with no sale or counter-offer. It got to the stage where one offer had been rejected as the player concerned was required for a match and the offer rejected outright, but within 30 seconds, the offer had been resubmitted, with the same value on it. With the injured player expected to be available again today, yesterday evening the most recent offer (same value again!) was rejected again, and the player offered for auction, with the starting price the maximum available, $3.5M. This morning, the Management discovered that the player had been sold for $4.14M, thus vindicating the Management's valuation of the player during the negoations - and, the eventual buyer was not the one who had been repeatedly offering the same derisory amount.

Palace Terriers were away for their 2nd Leg Cup Play-off Round match and were trying to overturn a 1-2 deficit from the 1st Leg. Things looked critical as midfielder Simon Dowridge was injured in the 1st minute and had to be substituted, and within a quarter-hour of play they were 0-1 down, and then two down within a minute of the restart. Things then turned completely around as left-midfielder Mark Hughes, striker Brian Horne and right-winger Declan McGranaghan scored to put the visitors 3-2 up and in sight of an away-goals win, but it was not to be, as the hosts got in an immediate equaliser and Terriers had to bow out of the Cup 4-5 on aggregate after a 3-3 draw.
