Mmmmm that has got me thinking. I may be able to shift some unsaleable players with a name change. 2 tokens? Cheaper than sacking them!

I always buy players on their quality, not by name or country. I've only ever bought 2 "famous" players, and then I've immediately changed their name to something else. Don't want big name premadonnas in my team.
My Goalkeeper is David Seaman and he got a 8T bid on Negotiations when on the way upto 7* and I only bought him at the beginning of the season from the scout, you think I'm selling him... No. Also had annoying bids on Miku and Michu as well.
If you ask me, Dunno why they let you change players names in all honesty.

There is nothing wrong with some people spending some money on this game, some do it because they want to support the game a little by giving Nordeus a few £ for development ,server and staff costs etc... I think I've been misunderstood here. I too have bought afew tokens along the way, not a load, but a few.
I wouldn't dream of wasting them (IMO) on name changes. I'm going to spend some on green packs as I need a load in a hurry!
I know what you mean. I sometimes (not always), change players names because I like to have players that sound a bit like REAL players but are not quite as good. I currently have 2 players in my squad who have vaguely familiar names (Brian Gibbs & Larry Redknapp). I also once had a striker called Wayne Looney. I`m not saying you can`t change player`s names, it`s the manager that is bidding for these players.
these player are below average yet because of name they seem to go mad ? i could understand if level 1 or 2 players as they just joined but it`s not, it`s level 6 to 8 so surely they have more sense, guess not :)

Dunno why token buyers get so much grief, i reckon ill buy 2 packs a season, 12 pounds worth, 160 tokens, its **** all tbh! Buy one scout player a season n use the rest for bidding. I wouldnt use them to buy packs though, not when they can be sent by friends or earned watching a few videos!

i can only dream of having 200 tokens! i do not buy tokens or get free ones from surveys or by giving pay pal my credit card details as i don't have one! i get 1 token per day and save them, once i have 10 or more i hit the market and spend wisely! i am now in level 6, i have been promoted year on year, winning the league twice and cl once on the way! last year was my worse season finishing 5th and no cl. i started this season with 16 tokens and spent them all on 4 really good players, 5 stars,i got a dl/c who cost 7.9 million for 2 tokens. i have not been beat yet, top of the league and in the play offs for the cup. I think by playing this way you are really testing your skills. I have started to play different formations and tactics according to the formation i am playing and take advantage of weaknesses in the opposing team which seems to be working a treat at the moment!

I must have missed a lot of bidding because the price went up considerably. Was sold below his market value, but MUCH higher than failed auctions previously, under his old name. He was bought by a guy who has a 1* Steven Gerrard in his team.

as stated got no problem with player`s changing the names, it`s when they are on transfer market, it seem other players go mad to sign them just because of the name even if their below average ?Quote:

I could not sell my 22 yr old ST, 3*(18), so I just changed his name to Lionel Messi, Agentina, #10. I will see if he goes this time.
Seriously though, Either foot, worth 410K. all points added to attack. worth it for level 2 managers but is the worst ST for me by far.
I just changed the name of an MC to Steven Gerrard, #8, English as this is the second time on the Transfer market for this player with no luck.
3*(22) age:22 680K=worth, freekick specialist. Im surprised he is hard to sell.
if you're level 1 or 2 it's not surprising if you have hard time to sell your players. once you get to level 4 that won't happen anymore. you don't even need to change your player's name to get your player transferred to another team

Hah, just saw a Indonesian guy spend 65T on a 25 yr old MC (5* and SA). 22 T for the 22 rounds, and 43T because he bidded 2 to 4T in every single round (probably to intimidate the others) ;)
I just sold a past his best AMR with a name change. Suddenly everybody wanted ANDRES INIESTA and he went to Real Madryd (actual spelling).
