How do you pick CK, FK, PK?
Has the impact of certain skills on successful execution of CK, PK and FK been discussed and agreed upon, or does every manager make their own assumption?
I have no success with CK and FK. I did when I was at a lower level and my DC/DMC Busquets with FK specialist SA scored a lot. With him being a sophomore holdover, his relative rating has fallen off (he is at 93% on a team led by and playing against 110% players) and he misses more often than not, so he got relegated in the FK taking order. Not that others score much.
Nor do I see many goals scored from CK. Maybe about 20%. What percentage would you consider satisfactory?
I can't complain about PKs. I am not awarded that many and score most just as one would expect.
I know some suggest testing many players on CK and FK, but I have a problem with that.
One, I don't believe Nordeus would program a player to be better or worse at CK and FK. If a player appears to be that way, it is either due to his skills or coincidence/luck.
Two, I don't get that many chances to have a good sample size. What would it mean if Player A took a CK an a goal was not scored? That I have to give him 4 more chances to see if he beats the 20% average? Or that I should replace him and risk missing out on a 50% CK assister? In the past, when we played friendlies, perhaps in midseason it was possible to test enough players. But now that everything goes into training and this elusive 10% bonus, it's unrealistic (thanks a lot, Nordeus!)
I would much rather someone tell me that it has been proven (or universally agreed) that skill A (crossing?) is best for CK and skill B (shooting or finishing?) is best for FK.
And how much bonus do you think the FK specialist SA gives my 93-percenter? Enough to keep him at the top of the rotation?
P.S. My #1 FK taker with 114% Shooting and 120% finishing just missed two in the last game. Once he was thwarted by the Defensive Wall SA and once put it over the bar.
