Is "bullying" a too stronger word for auction bidder?

This afternoon I was trying to find a 5* MC to fill my squad. I started bidding, along with about 12 others, on an 18yo, valued at 15.2M. A few of us went into the knockout rounds, but we got down to just 3 of us after 4 rounds. I dropped out at round 9, but the other two kept going, until eventually the German guy won in round 38, paying 37,9M for the player. Nothing unusual there perhaps.

But here is the point of my thread heading. That same guy, was bidding (and outbidding everyone), for almost every player under 21 and of 4/5* quality. I went to this guy's team page to see his squad and was amazed. He had a full squad of 22 players, all of which were 6 or 7*, with one 8*. There would have been no room for any of the players he had won on the auctions, and in any case, what did he need 4 or 5* players for? Other than to stop anyone else getting them.

So is he a "bully"? Or is that just being hard on him.

Yes, I know that. But I wanted to know why he bought the players in the first place, which are of no use to him.

It seems to me, that he is just buying them to stop others from getting them.

he will power train them so that they can replace someone who is maybe old in his squad. I understand where you are coming from as I was in a bidding war the other day for a goal keeper who was valued at 20 mil, he went for 70 mil and 60 rounds, I went up to 30 mil and dropped out what is strange is he could have got a scout as it went over 50 rounds.

The thing is, he already has a full roster, and his oldest player is only 23. Even if he intended to train these new players up, he would first have to sell off his higher rated players before he could sign the new ones to train them.

More than 4, actually. Jersey numbers in my current squad go up to 28, which means at one point, I had 6 unsigned players.
