What is happening? Read this, outrageous..

I have been subzero in my finances in top eleven.. top eleven then decided they would sell my best player (155% in level 18)!!!!!??!!??? What is this nonsens? I've payed around 1000 Norwegian kroner (about 100-150$) to buy and Upgrade this player and the game chooses to sell him without notice or any warning? Wtf? I had tokens in my account (50+) at the time, and plenty of subplayers..

This does not make any sense to me WHATSOEVER and it makes me angry that the game just 'deletes' a player I've spend that much money on..

Anybody else have similar things happend? this is to me just total stupidness and I really want a explaination for this..

Nope I don't understand how you can't keep in the black though. Making money is a no brainer in this game.

It doesnt say/warn they will sell the most valuable player or best player, then I probably would have sold another player like a useless RES or used some tokens to get money dont you think? Did you really think that you could run with a negative balance indefinitely?

As you mentioned, the player is not the highest price player. Is he the best in quality?

I believe you don't like Nordeus intentionally take this player. Can you suggest how to select the player to sell?

Selling the lowest prized players until the debt will be fully paid? Then some teams may loss a lot of players.

Let managers to select themselves? Nordeus cannot wait manager's response for a long time. A suitable period is difficult to determine.

Selling the highest prized/lowest prized/youngest/oldest/highest quality/lowest quality players? Selling tokens/packs? Probably different managers will have different preference.

Random? It's always fair. Probably Nordeus just randomly selected a player from your team for sale, and you are unlucky for losing a player you love.

I don't have a standpoint on this because bankruptcy is very remote to my team. But I will be glad you will propose a fair
plan.

A 150$ decision taken by the game when I just could have sold my lowest GK (RES and worthless to me teamwise)? And no-one can given me a good explanation; some say most valueable, some say highest quality. He was neither, he was at the highest % at the team due to training

This negative balance is my first and it was because I made 2 bids and got both players landing me about 40M in the red

So anwer me this; how can the game let me buy players with money I dont have?

Honestly, I can understand why you are upset but this is 100% your fault. You got many warnings about what was going to happen. Why did you not sell a player yourself to avoid that ? I'll avoid commenting on the money you spent on this player but you can't blame Nordeus for what happened next.

Surely you acquainted yourself with the rules of the game when you started playing? It didn't take long and I found the answer to your dilemma there. Two vital questions:

a) can I go into debt?;
b) if the answer to a) is 'yes', what happens when I do?

Both those questions are answered in several places, if you bother to look.

If you didn't read the rules, then you can garner little sympathy from this quarter as this is a situation you got yourself in, and didn't get out in time.

The rules say 'the best player(s)' - if they're not talking about the highest value then they're talking about the highest quality, which obviously meant your 155% player - why anyone would want to spend over £80 (UK) on a single player in a game is beyond me...

If you don't have the money don't do the bidding. Although its stupid when you are talking about this kind of expensive players and you do two bids but you forgot to sell players or use your tokens before bidding. What do we say when this happens.... its a lesson, very expensive lesson. I even think that complaining at Nordeus won't help

Sorry for poor English. I just want to see if you have any suggestion.

BTW, I believe the system should have warned you and you have about 7 days to handle this by selling other players. So, even though you may be surprised that your best players was forced to be sold, you cannot blame the system. Just learn a lesson to move on. Maybe accept this a challenge.

To address the questions asked in this thread and to clarify the whole situation:

Auctions and Cash system

Auction system allows you to continue bidding on any player if you have enough money to place the initial bid, as explained in this article. Here's a shorter explanation:

Because you only spend the cash after the auction is over (unlike tokens, which you spend for every bid), you can place bids on multiple auctions, as long as you can afford the initial bid (without taking the others into account). Here's an example:

You want to bid on Player A ($10 Million) and Player B ($5 Million), and you have $11 Million in your cash balance. System will allow you to bid on both of them, as you may want to be on both auctions at the same time, while really wanting to sign only one of them.

Player A is $10 Million with 2 minutes left and Player B is $5 Million with 20 minutes left before the initial round is over.

As mentioned, your balance is $11 Million, so you can bid on both of them. After Player A’s auction is over and you’ve won him, you’ll be deducted his price from your balance (let’s say you did buy him for exactly $10 million). That means you have $1 million left, but since you’ve already placed the initial bid on Player B, you can take part in it normally. However, you won’t be able to place a bid in the meantime on any player worth more than $1 million. In the event that you win the auction for Player B as well, your balance will go in the red.

Bankruptcy

When you are in debt, you have 7 days to revert the situation, and the system will warn you every day about it. The board will patiently wait and give you a whole week to go back to positive balance, and will remind you about it every day.

After 7 days, if you failed to revert the situation, bankruptcy mechanism kicks in, and the board executives of your club will try to solve it themselves. To do that, each day one of your best players will be sold in order to get out of minus. This will stop when your balance is positive again.

So, to prevent players from being sold automatically, get out of the minus as soon as possible cutting the expenses, selling some players, signing sponsorship contracts or taking bank loans.

This is also explained at the end of the same TopEleven.com cash/auction article I linked before.

Moi, your explanation was very clear.
The only thing I had the wrong impression was that the most expensive player is about to be sold.

Moi only said 'best player' - the rules say 'best player' - there is no definition from either what 'best player' means. From the OPs experience I assume it means the best rated (Quality) player.

The system does indeed send several warnings to the user for a week. If the user ignores these warnings for a whole week, ONLY THEN the system starts selling user's best players, one / day, until debt is covered.

At least you've unlocked the debt achievement[emoji111]

I believe its trough agents. In case of bankcrupty the only thing that matters is to get money out of possesions. Selling through agents is the fastest way.On auction you have to wait for about two hours. :)

In terms of trying to be a realistic game where is the logic in this? And why start with the best players and not the RES or subs when its obvious that this in my situation this would be more than enough?

A club lands in the red 1M, and to get on the green side again they sell they're best player, say worth 100M? Doesnt mather if he is then only GK or ST on the team. I now see I have overestimated how authentic this game really is, and if nothing is done with this I will not use a penny more on this game and Nordeus will loose a good customer. From a buisness point of wiev a stupid thing to do.

Is Nordeus perception "If you have been in the red for one week the best solution for every club is to sell they're best player/players" ? And this is because the game allows you to place bids way above youre finances. Where is the logic and realism in this? "Yes we allow you to place as many bids, nevermind the numbers and you might land 500M in the reds if you want. Then we warn you for one week that youre finances is ****ty, then we start selling all your best players" This is to me personally a strange feature, and I bet my left nut the people who say "you should have known this" probably found out about this the same way I did. If this fancy warning would say "Fix your finances! Remember the board will sell your best player if you have not taken care of this in a week" then the situation would probably be different, in 99% of these cases

this was ment as an experiment; learned special skill, 3 positions, tagged him freekicker captain etc and trained the hell out of him.. named this player "Chuck Norris" and wanted to see how a player blown out of proportions would effect the rest of the team. How the fact that some people have more money than others/than you is beyond you, is beyond me

If you have (- minus) capital for 5 days the game automatically sell your best player. It's nothing new.

Yes, you could have sold a different player and you had 7 days to do it but you didn't do it, that's why the board took action after warning you this would happen.

The game allows you to "finish" all auctions you've entered, as otherwise it would block you to continue bidding when you're already fighting against other managers for a player. Because the cash is only paid when you actually win an auction for a player, that's the moment this amount of cash can't be used anymore. Meanwhile, just participating into an auction doesn't mean you will need to spend this amount of cash. If you don't win the auction no cash is spent.

Many managers bid on several different players at the same time, let's say MCs, but they only want to sign "one". Without this feature they would only be able to bid on one, and if the lose it, they would need to start again. With this auction system, if you see 2 or 3 MCs finishing soon, you can bid on them (as long as you have the cash to afford each of them individually) and then decide which one you want to finally pursue. Otherwise you would be forced to bid on one, and maybe later realise it was a mistake. System only allows you to place bid on players you can currently afford with your cash, so it prevents any user to bid on players they don't have enough cash to pay if they end up winning the auction. "Nevermind the numbers" is not true here :)

The message already says that. The board sends this warning message to the user:

"Your cash balance is XXXX. In order to ensure the club survives this crisis, the board of directors will have to sell your top player if your debt is not cleared in ​YYYYY​ day(s)."

Besides that, the auction system as it is and the bankruptcy rule have been in Top Eleven for many years. They're also explained in the rules, in TopEleven.com articles and in the FAQ of our Help Center, which is accessible directly from the app (clicking the question mark button at the end of the left sidebar menu). And when a user is in debt, it warns him he has 7 days to take action otherwise the board will start selling his best players. I understand this can be frustrating, or you can dislike this feature, but you can't claim the system didn't warn you about what was going to happen.

T11 is not a sophisticated game system. While a team has been insolvent for 7 days, it will just use a simple logic to select player(s) to sell in order to turn it back to solvent. I don't expect it will cleverly consider whether the selection is the best for the team. Moreover, different managers have different goals. So the best decision differs in different cases.

cause in the beginning you place the bid...you have that money to buy that player...so, you can put as many as bid to the action of any player...
let say you have 30M..... and there has 30 players in action at 29M...you can place 30 bid to each of this players... because you have that amount of money for 29M...one player....

You as developers of this game encourage people to use tokens and to buy tokens for money that can and will give to an advantage in the game. So when I have spent this kind of money and tokens in the game I find it very hard to accept I got 84M for it in the end and have nothing to say in the matter. Say I went even further with this exspiriment and used 1000$ on this player the outcome would still be the same, and 1000$ wouldnt have anything to say because of a simple mistake of landing in the reds by 45M, something that would have taken one player or invest not even 1 percentage of the total tokens spent to fix. Dont you respect lazy people? hehe

OK, stianb86@gmail.com, what was your objective when you made your Mr Angry post #1 in this thread - if you expected to inflame the rest of use to rise up in support of your cause and force Nordeus to give you your treasured player back, it sure failed.

I'm sure it gave more than a few of us a good laugh at your self-inflicted misfortune, and a few minutes head-scratching looking for a tactful way to remind you of the rules and warnings which you obviously didn't read or heed.

Can you advise suggest how T11 should select players for force selling?

It is hard to find a simple solution that can make everyone happy. Some managers want to keep young players. Some managers want to keep the highest quality player. Some managers want to sell only 1 player to pay the debt so that the team maintain more players. Some managers don't mind to sell more players. Some managers wants short term success. Some managers wants their team running well in long term. Some managers want to tank. Some managers want to win league champion.

I think your expectation to T11 is too high. As a human, I don't have faith that you will satisfy if I select a player from your team to sell. Do you think that T11 will use AlphaGo like system to learn all behaviors of T11 managers, analyze what type of manager you are, and then make a decision that you will fully satisfy?

You don't understand a lot... or rather you do understand a lot. You can blame the game but its your own stupidity and ingnorince that your player is gone. The rules are simple and clear. The reason that the board sells a top player is to make sure that players will watch out extra carefully with coming in debt.
By the way earning money is the most easiest thing in the game.

So look in the mirror and cheer up. Accept it as a lesson for your manager life

what a top player is for a manager doesn't have to be a top player for T11. When youre in debt for longer than a week youre just stupid and your gonna loose a player..

Nowadays behaviour. You make a mistake because you didn't fully understand it and did not pay enough attention to it or simply choose to ignore warnings and then come back in and blame somebody else.

Stianb, it sucks your best player has been sold for a bottom price. I would rage over it to if it happened but I would be only blaming myself. Take a breather, learn from it and move on. Man up. You will not make this mistake again. Sorry for your player.
