It is a feeling that I know, and was among the reasons why I quit playing the game last year. I spent a significant amount of time and money for buying tokens to build a proper team that was capable of winning the all 3 competitions, but at some stage in the season, it seemed as if something was blocking my team from performing as it should. There is no confirmation of what were the main reasons, but I did feel that something was fishy at that time. This time, I changed my approach to the game. I also find out what other possibilities there were as explanations to what happened last year. In some situations, it seems that I used the wrong tactics or made the wrong change in tactics, but for some situations there may be other things. What prevented me to see what was wrong in some situations was the fact that I was using the browser version, which at that time had only the commentary. The way the attributes of players were displayed in the old version was also inferior, which prevented me to see what could possibly be wrong with the a particular player other than the so called percentage effectiveness due to hidden effects.

The things that could possibly affect the result of game are as follows.

    1. Visual Quality and Actual Quality (Actual Quality = Visual Quality x Effectiveness)
    2. Tactics
    3. Version of Game Used (Those that use the 2D simulation versions have an advantage because they could see what it happening on the pitch as compared to those that only had match commentary, and thus they can take more appropriate decisions for tactics.)
    3. Hidden Effects (for instance, induced drop in form or effectiveness by the system; this is one of the possible explanations for sudden noticeable changes in team performance)
    4. Flaws Of The Game
    5. Random Effects

If you put in a lot of effort (including time and money) in this game, it is expected that there will be more pressure on you to achieve what you wanted, and failing in doing so puts more frustration on you. I advise you to limit the amount of money you spend on this game. Don't fall in the trap of such games by letting your imperfections (tendency to get addicted, want to win and so on) dominate you. This game functions a lot like a casino game.
