    Hating to love Top 11

This maybe just another rant about how Top 11 bends me over every season and makes my success so difficult.

Starting off I spend $$ to attain top flight players and to train them to be at their highest level. I build teams that should never be beaten. I watch every game, League, Cup and Champions, and usually have atleast one friend as fan watching, so I usually have a possession bonus advantage over my opponent. I coach my team through each game and make necessary changes and add bonus's when necessary. I scout my opponent and counter their form with one that gives me an advantage. My players are always in top health, mentally and physically, for every game.

My season usually starts off with a nice winning streak until about mid League season when Top 11 decides that I am getting to far ahead on points, so they make me lose to a team that I am a "Favorite" against, who I am 20+ points better in form at all positions, is not even watching the game, and is only playing with ten men. It's ridiculous. I usually have to suffer through a two game losing streak with several draws mixed in.

I have worked hard to build a team that can compete for the "Triple Crown" and it makes me mad that Top 11 has some hidden agenda or algorithm that suppresses a good team. I see it with a couple of my friends and their teams as well.

My question is: Why does Top 11 promote and sell us on training, building our teams, and doing what is necessary to be successful, only to contradict that with some inane actions and very poor customer service?

Does anyone else have this problem? If so, do you gave a better answer for this behavior? What are your thoughts and opinions?

    Stand Sure,

My point is that I lose to "a team that I am a "Favorite" against, who I am 20+ points better in form at all positions, is not even watching the game, and is only playing with ten men." I totally understand losing or drawing against a team of my equal.

it that a problem??? Man utd could lost to Football League Two team...

and you don't get my point... real madrid and barcelona are not wining all the time.... so, you think only "team of your equal" can beat your team??? man...this is football... (btw, "favorite" doesn't mean anything at all.....and this refer back to "real madrid and barcelona are not wining all the time".... barcelona should be always the "favorite" one...but like i said...barcelona are not winning all the time.....)

    Just to update:

League: I am points 5 clear with 4 matches left in first place.
Cup: I am in the final
Champs: Lost in the QF to a -20 lesser team who didn't watch any matches. His team also beat a better team in the SF to make the Final. This is an example of what I do not understand about this game.

Anyway, 2 of 3 first places looks good. I guess I shouldn't complain. Ha ha ha............

It is a feeling that I know, and was among the reasons why I quit playing the game last year. I spent a significant amount of time and money for buying tokens to build a proper team that was capable of winning the all 3 competitions, but at some stage in the season, it seemed as if something was blocking my team from performing as it should. There is no confirmation of what were the main reasons, but I did feel that something was fishy at that time. This time, I changed my approach to the game. I also find out what other possibilities there were as explanations to what happened last year. In some situations, it seems that I used the wrong tactics or made the wrong change in tactics, but for some situations there may be other things. What prevented me to see what was wrong in some situations was the fact that I was using the browser version, which at that time had only the commentary. The way the attributes of players were displayed in the old version was also inferior, which prevented me to see what could possibly be wrong with the a particular player other than the so called percentage effectiveness due to hidden effects.

The things that could possibly affect the result of game are as follows.

    1. Visual Quality and Actual Quality (Actual Quality = Visual Quality x Effectiveness)
    2. Tactics
    3. Version of Game Used (Those that use the 2D simulation versions have an advantage because they could see what it happening on the pitch as compared to those that only had match commentary, and thus they can take more appropriate decisions for tactics.)
    3. Hidden Effects (for instance, induced drop in form or effectiveness by the system; this is one of the possible explanations for sudden noticeable changes in team performance)
    4. Flaws Of The Game
    5. Random Effects

If you put in a lot of effort (including time and money) in this game, it is expected that there will be more pressure on you to achieve what you wanted, and failing in doing so puts more frustration on you. I advise you to limit the amount of money you spend on this game. Don't fall in the trap of such games by letting your imperfections (tendency to get addicted, want to win and so on) dominate you. This game functions a lot like a casino game.

Thanks for your reply. You make some great points that I had not thought of before now.
