I did actually a test over a period of a couple of seasons. There was sadly no significantly gain in scoring ability for SS's.

I saw the playmaker icon in a live match too, it was really a delightful pass. I shouted wow when I saw the Icon and the pass. It actually led to a goal too.
I believe live animation is just a visual effect. I just won the treble with live animation off since the start of the season. The game is pretty much basic but still I can understand its all those myths that keep it interesting :cool:Quote:

My wife has an awesome playermaker. He do it ~every 2nd game with a pass. But, if you wanna see it more often: Set your playmaker to corner and freekicks. ;)
I just try some things about the SA: Got an AMC/MC with SS - he always plays MC (left side, mostly no arrow), scores 21 times (36 games), average rate: ~ 8,7. I think, every goal shows the SS even inside the box.
Have a ST/AMR/MR with Dribbler. Let him play at ST and AMR, 25 goals (25 games), average rate: ~9,3. But never saw the Dribbler. He also don't score in special ways - just "normal" as all others.
1on1-Stopper pops up at penalty
1on1-Striker also pops up at penalty
I think dribler is the only one that doesn't show the icon all the others do, playmaker doesn't show much most of the assists on my team come from corners or the wingers but my wingers are FK and SS.
