Day 9 - Palace Casuals Champions League report.
If Lego FC (+1 Level, +1.2Q) were fed up with Massimiliano Gerini after the reverse fixture two days ago, they must be sick of the sight of Maarten Wiegman after today's match. Gerini added to his hat-trick in the previous match by opening the scoring in the latest Champions League Group stage match, then Wiegman scored a 9-minute hat-trick to give the home side a 4 goal advantage at the break. Opposition manager arrived just after half-time, just in time to see his charges pull a goal back, but Wiegman continued on and netted another brace before the visitors scored again. Substitute Andre Faisca, on for the injured Angelo Musto, then tidied things up with the last goal in a 7-2 win.

This game is too funny from time to time. I am up against the bottom feeder (only 1 win so far). Game starts and 75% possession for me. Within minutes I get 1-0 ahead. Within 20 minutes it is 2-0. This is going to be fun I think. Big score coming up. Check the stats. Huh, 2-1. I must have missed something. No worries, animation time for me. No score. Another animation. Block. Next animation. Hoho, damn he got a penalty. 2-2. Seriously? He gets 2 shots at target and both hit. No worries, my attackers are all in the green with ratings and are over an 8 on average. Ah my 6 star striker with free kick SA gets a free kick. Wide. zzzzz. Next animation. Ah, I got a penalty. My 6 star striker takes the shot and misses. Seriously?
Pump up attack, go into hard attacking mode. Switch out striker. I get comments like there is no tomorrow. He hits the pole. The goalie makes a perfect save, he misses. Seriously? I get a whooping 19 chances after my 2 goals but I cannot score.
Endscore 2-2. ROFLMAO. He had 7 shots with 2 on target. Perfect efficiency.
That is us qualified for knockouts

Day 9 - Palace teams report (2/2).
Palace Terriers played their Round 4 Champions League Group match away, and secured their passage through to the knockout round with an 8-0 drubbing of their hosts. Braces for Philip McKay, Ahmed Moawad and Alessio Doratiotto, and singles from Michele Tempesta and Lukasz Sapela secured the win.

Palace Casuals played a home League match and shaded a tight contest 2-0, with goals from Andre Faisca, playing left-wing in place of the injured Angelo Musto.
Attachment 65342
The Palace Terriers Management is still scratching their head over this away League match against the team in 10th place. With a 4.2Q advantage, and the majority of the play, Terriers still found it hard to get any headway through the home defence. Conceding a goal 4 minutes before the break, the Mangement spent the second half trying everything that he could think of to turn the match around, but nothing doing...

Good victories here and therehttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...60eea79117.jpgfollowed by a 4-2 victory in champs league.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9c9ec209ff.jpg
My boys are coming up with full force, got a 9-0victory today and a 4-2 win in the champs league.
Tougher match thus time but thru 7-2 agg and still 100%

Tough match against league opponent who was using 4-5-1V formation which is hard to break down, got the victory in the end thanks to my ever-reliable holding mid Piergiacomi but really had to work hard for it despite having the stronger overall team! Important win too as I unexpectedly lost my last league match and wasn't around to manage my team. Happy with the performance from the lads and the defence for keeping a clean sheet :)

Day 10 - Palace teams report (1/2).
The morning Transfer Market seemed to be flooded with 5* Nordgens so Palace Casuals took advantage of minimal competition to made a quick 1T purchase of a backup defender.
Attachment 65357
Palace Casuals played their latest League match away against 8th place, and the home side were very much let down by the indiscipline of their players. Two off the pitch by the 22nd minute, and another in the 64th minute, and who can blame the visitors for taking advantage? The Casuals were one up in the 3rd minute, Andres Iniesta running onto a defensive clearance and registering his first goal for the team. Then came the home side's red mist, but despite being two players down, they were still making it difficult. The home manager made an appearance in the 30th minute, and immediately set about making changes to compensate for the missing players, but the Casuals Management decided to let his team be and see how they fare. With Casuals still a goal up and beginning to make headway in the second half, the third dismissal for the hosts was the final straw. Gary Millar curled home the free-kick to open his account, then the goal rush began. Maarten Wiegman bagged a brace, one either side of debut goals for Graeme Flood and Jack Auger, as the Casuals ran out 6-0 winners for their first away League win of the season.
Attachment 65355
Palace Terriers were also away in their first match of the day, and were at their defensive best protecting a 2-0 lead from the 1st Leg of their Cup Play-off Round tie. With the home side yielding possession in favour of quick counter-attacks, Terriers made their short-passing possession game pay as they frustrated their opponents. Samir Gross scored two minutes before the break, Terriers won 1-0 and go through to the 'Top-16' Round 3-0 on aggregate.

I love cup matches. First game I was up against a 2 level higher player. Home match won with 1-0. Away match trained hard, max bonus, game starts and huh....his team is all of a sudden only 7 and 8 star players. Damn, he has woken up and paid some money to get some real good players. His 5 star striker turned into an eight star beast. How can we compete with that? I didn't play bad against his team. Overall I was even stronger but I lost 3-0 even though I had 19 shots and 6 on target :( Out of the cup again. My sub team was already out in the first round.
Good thing is that in the league I beat both numbers 2 with my team so I am in the lead again. You have got to appreciate the small things. Thumbs up.
After a perfect CUP with Orlova Academy I managed to get a perfect CUP with Orlova FC too.

It's also what Marco van Basten as manager of Ajax was called by an angry fan after losing a match against SC Heerenveen. Youtube vid has been watched over 800 thousand times.
At transfer market I finally found a high 5* DC/DMC, but was outbidded by a manager two levels above me . 5+T for a 3* player? Not something I'd consider anytime soon.
Sold my all-time top scorer. He's too young not to be playing, but he couldn't keep up with the rest of the team.

Last season was very bittersweet losing the league to a team we did the double on in league play. We also went out to the same team in the cup and they eventually went on to win the whole thing. Don't drink before home leg cup matches ppl.

We had 200m and 80T to start the season. Here's how my squad looks as of today.

Still going in all 3 comps. I will place 2nd in my CL group. Started the league slowly with a loss and a draw but smooth sailing since. Ahead 3-1 going into 2nd leg in cup.
Day 10 - Palace teams report (2/2).
When Nordeus say you're gonna lose, you're gonna lose - I can't see any reason otherwise for the apparent collapse of a 7.5+ rated defence in the last 10 minutes of normal time.
Attachment 65375
Palace Terriers fared better in their League match, a routine demolition of a 4.0Q poorer team. Hat-trick for Samir Gross - Nikolay Radev and Alessio Doratiotto contributed the other goals.

Abdou Ewagnignon made his 50th apprearance for the Terriers.

Just one of those matches you watch and know you're not going to win:
Attachment 65378
I was slightly better quality (71 vs 70) and at home. I won the away leg 0-1.
This game had all the stats I usually like to see, but can't do much when the goalie saves every shot on target.
Cup journey this season ends pretty early.
Atlético Kolkata Day 9&10 Report
We came back from 1-0 down, should've won that, but Nordeus denied me a 1 point lead at the penultimate minute... Never mind, the return leg is at home:http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...836f344705.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9d28de5d83.jpg
The CL game was a sneeky 1-0 win, and it's(almost) confirmed our knockout qualification, thanks to Klochkov:
http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...31829c65a8.jpgWe play sporting c.p. today, and it's highly unlikely they'll win by 7 goals.
Yesterday we played my friend in the league, and it was a 3-0, denting his promotion chances (he's 8th and 11 points):http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...402c5bfbdb.jpg So even Reyes is not allowed to play, I'll stick with Klochkov, Ulstrup, Carlos and Jorge. The standings:http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...81711af0a8.jpg If I don't win the league but finish undefeated, will I get "The Invincibles" achievement?

Atlético Kolkata Day 11 Report
A bit of a crazy way to secure knockout qualification:http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...feb725e54a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...56108e323e.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b280e417b2.jpgKayis seemed to have an off game, so Torrano came in at 72'. He struck one at the 90th. I guess it was wise of me to sacrifice Jaque [emoji14] but why the Champions League is written in red?
The league was even crazier, partly because of the result, and partly because I couldn't attend it due to an earthquake in Kolkata[emoji33] :http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...018ff4b320.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...b1c1ac7841.jpg Wow, 2 in 2 for injuries. Klochkov will be healed tho tomorrow.
In a league of hell, still on the top with only one draw but things aren't secure as most of the teams are full of 6* players.
Attachment 65383
Some of the teams failed to promote (or stayed in purpose), like this guy I 'm playing tomorrow.
As it seems, I 'm gonna need some greens for the day after tomorrow :p
Attachment 65384
My reserves also in a very tough league.
Attachment 65385
Wth, now with the new training system, every body builds 6* players teams ?
or it is that many teams playing in tough leagues, fail to promote ?
