Day 16 - Palace Terriers League report.
Although the Management try to keep Palace Terriers within the bounds of 35T, there comes a time when the deficiencies of the Transfer Market and the needs of the team demand a Token Injection...
Sunday proved a pivotal day in the Terriers line-up. The appearance of a desired player with AMR characteristics in the Recommendations and a suitable multi-role left-sided player in the Scout List were enough for the Management to splash out on badly-needed wingers to double up on these critical positions, and release some players who were getting little or no playing time.
DC Tarik Chagou, ST Brian Horne and ML/DML Mark Hughes have been released.
The Cup Quarter-Final draw was finalised...
A mid-afternoon League match away at 11th place, 3N-5-2V was chosen by the Management to counter the 5-3W-1-1 formation set by the home side, and a most satisfactory result followed. Roberto Pigatto Baratto and Eisneider Gil made their League debuts for the visitors in the right- and left-wing positions, respectively, Samir Gross moving up as strike partner to Alessio Doratiotto. Gil netted a brace in the first-half, Philip McKay helped a Pigatto Baratto cross into the net early in the second-half before Gil completed his hat-trick with an assist from Gross. Pigatto Baratto then assisted Doratiotto before scoring an individual goal himself to complete the scoring.
